Friend and I in for the weekend to play some sports and enjoy the town. Did not disappoint as always and the sea shanty was perfect. Clean, quiet and gorgeous surroundings. It had all we needed for fun and relaxation.

We love the Sea Shanty. It’s a very comfortable place to stay with beautiful views and the location close to Bishop’s Beach, Bunnell Gallery, and down town Homer can’t be beat!

The property was very enjoyable and the top balcony had a nice view. We were a short walk away from good restaurants and the beach.

We had a wonderful three night stay. This was the perfect location and a perfect place to stay just outside of Homer Spit. Walking distance of Bishop’s beach. Communication and getting in and out of the cottage were very easy. Clean rooms, bathrooms, hot showers, great views and stocked kitchen. My family loved our stay. We’ve already discussed coming back and booking again Thank you for your hospitality!

We loved staying at the Sea Shanty - Homer Seaside Cottages. Our cottage exceeded our expectations and the location which is very close to Bishop's Beach was perfect.

We are two couples and absolutely LOVED our stay here!!! BEAUTIFULLY renovated with countless adorable accents!!! IMMACULATE!!! Perfect location!!! So very charming and outfitted with all you need. House was well outfitted and in good shape. Worked well for couple and one other. Walkable to beach with water views dron second floor.

We were very comfortable with 4 adults in the LaSerena. The cottage is well equipped for cooking and fit all of our needs over Labor Day weekend.

Home was everything we needed, loved easy access to beach, saw moose from our porch. ❤️

The Sea Shanty is a great value for a Homer vacation. The cottage was exactly as advertised and a perfect size for my family of five. The property was very clean, up-to-date, and had just about everything needed for our stay. The location is fantastic. It’s a short walk to the beach, coffee and bakeries, and great dining options. Check in/arrival process was simple and efficient. Highly recommended. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

This property was ideal for our family. Location is perfect - a short walk to the beach, numerous food options, close to the museum, grocery store and short drive to spit. Connie was amazing to work with and answered all of our questions. House was super clean as was deck and balcony. Would love to stay here again.

My granddaughter and I spent three nights at the Sea Shanty and it had everything we needed! The kitchen was spacious and had every tool necessary for dining in. Each bedroom had its own bath and we thorough enjoyed the living room and outside space. Morning coffee on the upstairs deck was the perfect way to start the day with chirping birds and bay views. We couldn’t have asked for a more awesome place to call home. Thank you, Connie, for your welcome and directions for an easy checkout. We will return.

Perfect location for walking to Bishop Beach and the Visitor Center. The Two Sisters Bakery had delicious goodies and we celebrated a birthday at AJ’s Steakhouse with a free dessert also within walking distance. Fished with Captain Josh at Big Butt Charters and caught a 90 pound and a 100 pound halibut.. Brought home 250 pounds of fish in all. Homer is a great fishing location!

My husband, young adult daughter and I stayed 2 nights. Just a stroll to the beach and short drive to the spit for shopping. Everything was clean and it was really nice to be able to grill on the deck and relax with a view!

Very nice (and clean) place within walking distance of Bishop's Beach. Kitchen for cooking, nice deck (though it was windy), and easy check in and check out.

My family group of 6 adults stayed @ Connie’s at the end of July. It was conveniently located for us fishing off the spit in my son’s boat. The place was well appointed and comfortable. Great location. Walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Very quick drive to the Spit and most other Homer attractions. Clean and nicely decorated house with nice outdoor space for hanging out.

A lot of thought had been given to make sure the place was furnished with anything that might be needed. Dishes, cookware, linens, lamps - just everything. We would definitely return and recommend this to friends.

We were moved to the Sea Gypsy so that we could have our dog stay with us. The Sea Gypsy is the perfect vacation rental for Homer. We could walk to Bishop's Beach and enjoy all that Homer has to offer. The Sea Gypsy had plenty of room for the six of us.

Wonderful experience working with Connie in getting ready for our trip. Check in was easy. Just stepping into our home made us feel as if we were in our own home. The cleanliness of the home was exceptional. I definitely would recommend staying at the Sea Shanty I would give a 10 star rating if I could.

I stayed for two nights (June 18-20, 2021) in the Sea Shanty, one of several cottages in the “Homer Seaside” group in Old Town, two blocks from Bishops Beach. The new manager, Connie, has just taken over and, while I cannot compare with previous years, I think visitors can be confident that their stay will be comfortable. The unit was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and the beds very comfortable, possibly new, with all new linens and comforter. I was pleased to find nice shampoo in the shower and even a hair dryer. The Sea Shanty is very well set up for two couples or a family with children. The kitchen and dining room is on the first floor and a living room on the second, with a bedroom and full bath on each floor. The second-floor deck has a view of the mountains and gets good sun in the evening for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The Old Town is my favorite location in Homer because of the proximity to Bishop’s Beach, which changes throughout the day with the tide, but always with a gorgeous view of the mountains across Katchemak Bay.
