It was comfortable, the TV was great, good breakfast, room with a balcony and a very large bed and very nice staff.

We could here some noise especially in the morning.

I stayed in this hotel at a very difficult time. We were travelling across Portugal from Sines to Ayamonte in Spain and my husband suddenly became ill during the car journey. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Beja, which was completely in the wrong direction for us. I had no option than to find a hotel at the last minute, as I was not allowed to stay with my husband. The hotel was perfect for my needs, clean and quiet, with a decent breakfast. Lovely sitting room area in which guests can relax. Under different circumstances I would have enjoyed my visit!

Room was tiny and had a window looking out on a light well, a bit claustrophobic, but ok for one night. In a pedestrianised area so no parking and I found it difficult to find a car park, I ended up leaving my car outside the hospital and walking there.

Receptionist very friendly and helpful. A nice hotel.

No Parking at hotel. A pool would have been nice. Breakfast ok but not very filling, eggs & bacon would keep you going to lunchtime.

A lovely family run hotel right in Beja's shops and restaurants area, which is in a lovely, older part of town. There is even a warm and comfortable common room where you can sample some local and delicious drinks with nuts and a fire, while sat in a large comfy chair. I was there on a cold November evening, so this was so cosy to come back to after a meal out at a local restaurant. The hotel has a retro charm and the staff are all lovely, there is no elevator, which may be an issue for some travellers. I really liked the pictures of the family who run Hotel Bejense that can be seen as you walk down the stairs to reception. It reminds you that you in a family business not a corporate chain Hotel. Outside the door and up the front of the building is a beautiful, huge Bougainvillia which just looks stunning as you enter the Hotel. Breakfast was included and was a typically satisfying and filling continental type breakfast. I had a perfectly comfortable night's sleep. All in all I have only praise for Hotel Bejense and the family running it.

Breakfast was lovely, with a wide variety of fruit/bread/cakes/coffee etc. Room was comfortable, for one person, well appointed and all that was required Staff was very friendly and helpful

I was surprised that I couldn't order a drink (glass of wine) as I did not want to go out and sit in a café on my own

The hotel is cosy and nice but at some points bit outdated and simple. Doors opened with a key instead of a card.. Of course, the key with enormous hanger has some charme... But also bit annoying to bring with you... The location is perfect but when by car it can be difficult to find a parking spot in the neighbourhood..
