Hotel Cottage was very well located for our needs, near friends. The staff was nice and helpful and the buffet breakfast was good, with sweet and savoury offerings and a beautiful view from the restaurant. The room was spacious and with plenty of easy-to-reach sockets to plug electronics in!
The bathroom was a bit cramped (not the shower, though!) and it could have been a little bit cleaner, e.g. there was dry soap on the window handle from before we arrived. I assume this was an oversight as the rest was quite fine!

Nice breakfast, comfortable rooms. Close to the airport. Nice area. This was my 3rd stay at Hotel Cottage which has become my go-to place when visiting Montevideo.

Stylish, lovely feel, fun outdoors area. could do with more Sun loungers. breakfast was good but it used to be exceptional.
Breakfast staff were stressed. attracts large groups of guests - hockey teams, car ralleys & breakfast suffers - maybe an earlier start when large teams staying?

Check in staff really competent and pleasant. Spoke English too which helped. Room was excellent this time as we were given a free upgrade to a suite of rooms. We had stayed earlier the week before and three years ago. Each time had no complaints. A really safe comfortable hotel which we would stay in again.
Breakfasts were very varied and excellent each day.
Bar meals and dinners were again very well cooked and served. Bar staff were always on hand and proficient.
Nothing to complain about. All good.

it was across from the beach. There was also a pool and jacuzzi. We also had a nice view from the balcony.
There is nothing I can say that I did not like.

Great location - for us - in a quiet area of Montevideo right on the beach. Be aware that dining and nightlife options are more limited in Carrasco than in the centre but the quality is high. The room was clean and quiet and the gym is perfectly functional.
A tad pricey for what you get compared with more central hotels e.g. leading hotels of the world.

Location is great. we could walk into Arocena, the Main Street in Carrasco, in 10 minutes. the room was very nicely furnished and clean.
why don’t Uruguayan hotels ever offer a kettle?! Especially given that the Uruguayans cannot be without their maté (which requires hot water). The bathroom was very small and difficult to move around in. A larger person would even have problems. The breakfast was rather limited in choice but the restaurant area is very pleasant.

there was a private party organized by the hotel outside my room, I couldn’t sleep until 4am in the morning. unbelievable

there was a construction in the hotel from 9 am to 5 pm with very loud noise and wall vibration. The hotel did not warn us at the time of booking. when we approach the staff the answer was they were under major remodeling, they didn’t offer any compensation or discount, not even a sorry for the inconvenience….

Excellent service! Cosy and clean. Good breakfast! View of the beach and Rio. A very nice neighborhood and only a short walk from the Main Street in Carrasco. Highly recommended!

The location is awesome close to the beach and airport.
The cleanness of the pool and the pool area.
More equipment in the gym would make a difference.
