This vacation home was amazing - exactly like the pictures on the website. It had a well stocked kitchen, was clean and very tastefully decorated, has games, puzzles, books, and plenty of toys for kids. The deck and fire patio were fabulous with an amazing view of the lake and sunsets. The boat house/dock is beautiful and has it all! We enjoyed two paddle boards, two kayaks, an inflatable raft, and slip for the pontoon boat we rented. If you rent jet skis, there's two electric lifts. All in all, this home exceeded our expectations!!!

We had a great time at Cala Tortuga! We had great communication prior to and during our stay with the property management. The house was well equipped-everything we need to make dinner each night and the dock was amazing. A quiet cove with plenty of toys! Definitely would recommend to friends! Hope to be back soon!

This was such a great location for our extended family getaway. We loved hanging out in the water; the quiet cove was perfect. Unfortunately the weather wasnt the best, but we made the most of it since there were so lamy great covered hang outs. The kitchen has plenty of glassware and nice cookware which we really appreciated. All the bedrooms were equally comfortable! The only thing I would say is I wish the walkway down to the dock was a little more finished. It was a little tricky with little ones and a dad with balance issues. Overall, this was a great place to rent.

This house was perfect for our large group. The house is clean and beautiful with wonderful lake views on a quiet cove. The sunsets were gorgeous! The kayaks and paddle boards were a hit with everyone and the screened in porch provided a lovely gathering space. Beds were super comfy and bedrooms spacious with a great bunk bed room for the kids in the basement. S’mores around the fire pit with lake views was a perfect way to end a wonderful week together.

This property is beautiful! It is nicely furnished and the kitchen has everything you need to cook meals for a large family. The location at the end of the cove was perfect for using the kayaks and paddle boards provided by the owner. We swam off the dock as well. The game room provided a lot of fun, and our grandson loved the trunk full of Legos. We brought some of our own lawn and board games for extra fun. We all had an amazing vacation.

The home was airy and really well decorated. The kitchen was full of everything you could possibly need. The views were wonderful. We spent a lot of time on the paddle boards before the rain hit and we enjoyed the fire pit for roasting hot dogs and making s’mores. The kids enjoyed the game room for the days it rained. Caught a good amount of fish off the dock. The only negative was the lack of furniture on the dock and what was out there could really use an upgrade. The sheets in the main bedroom did not seem clean so we did end up stripping the bed and washing the bedding ourselves.

We had such a great time here! The house is beautiful and homey. The kids were fishing at the dock nonstop or out on kayaks and paddle boards. The screened in porch was my favorite spot to sit with some coffee or wine. We would definitely stay here again or recommend to others. If you have a toddler- bring a baby gate

This beautiful house had everything we needed for a great two-week vacation. Everything is new, organized, and comfy! The garage suite was the perfect poker getaway for the guys while providing a quiet place for Grandpa to sleep away from all of the grandkids at night! You'll love it here.

This was a great house, it was so tastefully decorated and laid out. The bedrooms were all very spacious and had very comfortable mattresses. We spent most of our days out on the lake or hanging out on the amazing dock. The owners were amazingly quick to respond throughout to booking process and during our stay.

We loved staying at Cala Tortuga for a long weekend away with our kids and families. Beautiful house and property. We spent a lot of time on the dock swimming, fishing, and using the paddle boards and kayaks. So relaxing! Thank you!

Everything was just perfect! I really felt like I was at home. Everything we needed was available and if not the food lion was right up the street! The back screened porch was beautiful to watch the sunrise and delightful for the evening sunset. The atmosphere was quiet, calm, relaxing and just bliss! Games galore! It was everything we needed and more! Thanks to Rob and Angie for allowing us to make memories in this beautiful home. They answered all my questions so fast and made this experience so easy!

This place is absolutely amazing. From the home to the views, it's hard to imagine that you can find a better spot to relax and unwind. From booking to check out, the owners were incredible to communicate with. The home was stocked well with the essentials and there were plenty of other thoughtful fun things to find from books to games. The beds were super comfortable. I could not recommend this place more.

The main living area is a bit smaller than we expected, but we were able to spread out among the 3 floors (and the screened in patio since it rained the whole time) and the garage living room then come together for dinner at the HUGE dining table. Angie was extremely helpful and accommodating and also very quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay again!

New, clean, and fully stocked! This house made our Lake Gaston vacation a wonderful getaway. The house is spotless and beautifully decorated. The 2 SUP, kyacks were a huge hit for both the kids and adults. You could paddle out to the main lake in minutes and feel so incredibly free. They also had a variety of adult life vests which was a nice luxury. My kids thought the basement bunk bedroom was better than Disneyland :) The lego chest gave us hours of creative play, so thank you! The outside shower was all we used and the beautiful firepit would be perfect for the fall months. It was way too hot to sit and enjoy this trip, but we were able to make a few s'mores. The owners were so kind and responsive while booking. Sarah, the onsite contact was constantly checking in to make sure there was nothing else we needed. Memorable visit!

The perfect home! Extremely well built home and all the lakeside amenities you could ask for. All top of the line, brand new Kitchen appliances along with fully stocked drawers and cabinets of cutlery, wine glasses, dishes, kitchen gadgets, appliances, etc…All bedrooms are extremely clean, spacious, and the locations are well thought out! Master bedroom is located on the second floor! This is the only bedroom on 2nd floor; this gives the “primary” couple access to the kitchen, dining area, living room, and screened in porch without having to go upstairs or down! The children have their own level to themselves with game room, bathroom, and access to back patio and yard! The detached garage with loft apartment is stunning inside. Poker table, 2 refrigerators, sink, bathroom, flat screen TV, lakeside view, and breathtaking lounge area really completes the vacation! The boathouse and dock is brand new with a bar, refrigerator, life vests, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing pole, swim ladder, dining with overhead fan, boat and jet ski storage with lift, clean swimming area with deep enough water, along with easy access to main lake and lakeside amenities! My family and I had an amazing time here. The owners along with a local contact are extremely responsive and are always available! We could not have asked for anything more. Great fishing right off dock, Boat and jet ski rentals are within minutes right on the lake! I can’t say enough about how amazing this property is! We will be returning next summer if not sooner without a doubt! Thank you again Rob and Angie!

Our stay was amazing. The house was gorgeous and the dock was perfect for our boat. We also rented a pontoon and a jet ski and there was plenty of room! Communication with Rob and Angie was great. Very responsive and helpful. The steps to the dock are a little steep but also provides for amazing views of the lake. The screened in porch was our favorite spot. We LOVED EVERYTHING about this amazing new home on Lake Gaston! Cala Tortuga is warm, inviting, beautifully decorated and perfectly comfortable.We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces perfect for yoga, corn hole games, grilling out, swimming and fishing off the dock. The outdoor shower even has hot water, perfect after a long day out on the water! The screened porch offered stunning views of the sunsets over the quiet cove. We enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking right off the dock. The interior of the home is picture perfect. The furnishings are inviting and cozy with soft fuzzy blankets available to wrap up in. We slept so well…those beds oh so comfortable! Another favorite space of ours was the garage suite, game room and private coffee bar in our bedroom! This home provides loads of space perfect for family gatherings and making lasting memories Thank you Angie and Rob for sharing your home with us, we look forward to returning year after year!
