My family rented this condo for a family reunion in Folly. We had family staying in houses all over the island. Unlike the other reviews, we found the condo to be very clean! We loved sitting out on the screened in porch overlooking the bridge and the water! Plenty of amenities and short walk to the beach, restaurants, coffee, and bars. Easy check in and great communication with property management. I would definitely stay here again. Plenty of room for our family of 5.
Here is the only downfall:
We were told by property management that the renters before us accidentally took the parking tag. We did not think much of it as we only had 1 car and a 6 passenger golf cart and management said we could fit in the garage and we did. The problem was, my parents came to visit one night and they parked IN THE DRIVEWAY because we could not fit all 3 vehicles in the garage. They weren’t there 15 minutes before someone in the neighborhood called the property manager and we got a call to move the vehicle. Beware, lots of “Karens” on this street. You can’t even park in the driveway of the rental w/o a tag which we weren’t even given! Ridiculous!
I have to say the property management team was so nice about it but I would have appreciated them supplying a temporary tag for the holiday weekend.
If you only have 1 or 2 cars…no problem! Make sure the management company has your tag!!

We really enjoyed our stay in Folly Beach. It was a short 20 min drive to Charleston and just over two hours to Savannah. We visited both locations but really enjoyed our stay in Folly. It was nice to park our vehicle in the garage. My parents stayed in the bedroom on the main level. Our kids shared the bunk bed room upstairs and my husband and I stayed in the upstairs master. The layout worked perfect! We enjoyed the screened in porch which was very peaceful for morning coffee and evening wine. Just 1/2 mile from the beach and I did walk there to enjoy the sunrise three mornings during our stay. Also an easy walk or bike ride to the restaurants and shops. Definitely would return.

We loved it!
There were 5 of us ladies 'of a certain age' - 2 shared the king so nobody had to have an upper bunk.
Kitchen was well-appointed, screened-in porch over the creek had plenty of chairs.
Beds were comfy, extra blankets in downstairs closet.
Two blocks from Loggerheads, which we visited every evening on the way 'home'. We could walk to everything except Charleston!
One note - we were going to Uber/Lyft into Charleston, but that was c-r-a-z-y expensive, so plan on driving if your visit includes it.
We definitely hope this is available for our next getaway!

Great Beach House!
We really enjoyed our stay at this house! It was very clean and the rental company was very responsive to the very minor issues we encountered (needed new batteries for remotes and a new light bulb in the bed room). The house was nicely updated and the beds were very comfortable, which is unusual in a vacation rental! Would definitely stay here again!

Wedding
We rented the property for a weekend wedding in Charleston which was very convenient to downtown. We were able to go to the beach, which was a short walk and utilize the pool. Waters Edge provides good privacy. Traffic in and out of Folly Beach on the weekend, however, Is awful.

Island condo review
Condo was close to downtown area and beach. Staff was quick to respond if we had questions. Kitchen had lots of necessities, but minimal towels. Layout of condo was nice for 5 people...each had their own bedroom space. Appreciated having access to two bikes. Would have been nice to have beach towels available. Otherwise, loved our stay.

The house and location was perfect
We came here to get away after the holidays and visit Charleston. This house was in the perfect location, close to everything with so much to do. Loved that you could walk to the beach and to restaurants and shops.
The house itself was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The screened in porch was nice to sit on for coffee or in the evenings. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely stay again but for longer.

Great Property in a great location
Property is great and in a great location. A few things should be updated. House sleeps 8 but table is for 4. Maybe have additional folding chairs. The dining chair cushions are badly worn and a chair pad has been put on top instead of recovering. Bed pillows are all in sad shape and should be replaced or bring your own. Addition of wine glasses would be a bonus (there were 3) .

Perfect Beach Location
We enjoyed our stay. The bike rentals allowed us to enjoy the entire island. The house is a short walk to a beautiful morning sunrise and a short bike ride to the evening sunset. We were also just a short ride to all of Charleston's charm and historical locations. The house had everything we needed to relax after a busy day of walking and eating.

Okay but needs improvement
The location and basic needs were good but there were several maintenance items that were in need of attention: shower drain was extremely slow, light bulbs were burnt out, toilet in lower level rocked when used, lacked kitchen towels and extra roll of paper towels, washer was full of water and wouldn’t drain so unusable, battery back up on one of the smoke detectors went out.

The property is exactly as pictured and had all the space we could want at a beach house. The location is great for waking to shops and food, and the neighborhood was quiet and comfortable. I would consider this location again next time I head to Folly Beach!

Great location but...
We were traveling with another family and this house had the perfect location set-up for 2 couples and 4 children. Unfortunately, the condition and cleanliness of the house was the first thing we noticed. Counters were not wiped down, all kitchen appliances were filthy, the floors were still full of sand, etc. I was expecting a much deeper clean especially during a time of COVID.
Next, we did not have parking passes OR pool passes/key fob to the pier until the fourth day of stay. We received many threatening notes from the HOA about parking in the driveway because we did not have a pass. This would not have been a problem if a boat wasn’t occupying a garage space. Dunes properties did not have extras and the previous renters took the passes and fobs. Our kids were looking forward to swimming and fishing from the pier but we did not have access. We were told that we would receive compensation for not having these items; however, Dunes Properties will not return our calls.
Other notes-The kitchen utensils/dishes/appliances were sub par and the drawers were filthy. There is not a hose to clean all of the sandy beach equipment or feet to prevent tracking sand in the house.
The washing machine left black grease on all of our clothes.
Overall, this house has great potential. It is in a great location, has great amenities and is just a short walk/golf cart ride/ bike ride to the beautiful beach. Unfortunately, as yearly renters, we will not be returning to this property.

Great property and location
Excellent space with nice size bedrooms and bathrooms. Claw foot tub in one bathroom with a separate shower. There was a little bit of black mold near the vents that needs cleaning in the a/c ducts but they will take care of it. Yes I would recommend this property

Beautiful condo, great location!
We were very pleased with the condo and the service we received. Initially had an issue with ice maker and they came out quickly to resolve. Ice maker still didn’t work but they tried their best to repair. We were a little disappointed with the very limited tv cable package only because we have small children who could’ve used more options during “down time”. Condo was clean and spacious, well appointed and easy to access. There was a boat in the garage but still left space for one car and golf cart. We love this community and it’s location, overall very happy with our stay!

Love My Blue Heaven at Folly Beach
It was as advertised...no surprises. Everything was set up and ready to go. Only two concerns:
1 - Lights in upstairs hall bedroom were out. It was easier for me to find the spare bulbs and change it myself than to call the property manager.
2. - Did not see the code for the garage door opener listed in the instructions. It's possible I missed it in an email or other online instructions, and it did not impact our stay...so I didn't bother to contact property manager on that either.
All in all...it was great place, conveniently located to the beach and other places on the island, both on foot or by golf cart. The only real regret I had was...I wish I could've stayed a little longer.

Bridesmaids Beach Stay
I rented this property to hang with my bridesmaids prior to my wedding day, and as a house for them to enjoy Folly for my wedding. Beautiful views, great space and extremely functional.
