This place was amazing ,beautiful decor ,comfortable bed it was a very spacious private appartment in the country . The pool was right outside the door. Loved the touch of a complementary breakfast ,perfect when you are on the move. Thank you.

A very comfortable, quiet place to stay. Excellent bed and good for relaxing at night. The pool looked nice but not the right time of the year to use. We looked at the photos and saw that there was a big fridge which suited us very well as we were on our way to a family function and had a lot of food with us. Convenient for getting into both Cambridge and Hamilton (although we had no need to travel anywhere for a meal).

Basic breakfast food provided (cereals, bread and small packets of spreads). Would have appreciated some fruit. Milk was 4 days past its use by date - although it still tasted all right.

We had a lovely stay and thoroughly recommend. Lynley was a great host and we will return.

Couldn’t think of a flaw if we tried.

The location was in the amazing rural country, quiet and very close to both Cambridge and Hamilton. It also meant we could safely bike around the country roads and take in all the scenery. The Pool house is very spacious and decorated in a comfy style. The bathroom is super modern with a large perfect shower and also has a new washing machine, dryer, iron if needed. The king size bed was very comfortable and there is a wide screen TV in the lounge with Netflix. The magazines and candles makes a nice home away from home touch. There is a dining table just beside the generous kitchen, which has a full fridge/freezer, bench oven and lots of appliances. Everything was laid out well for easy use, so it would be ideal for staying longer than the 2 days we stayed.

As amazing as the pool house is, there was only 2 little issues that didn't spoil the stay at all and is something that can easily be changed. It didn't have the soft fluffy towels as advertised on the website and despite having a well stocked cupboard of towels, every single one was scratchy and hard which didn't feel nice to use. The other issue which certainly wouldn't be a problem for everyone, was the complimentary breakfast. There is a preference option at booking, but I pretty much assumed at this cost a night, there would be like most motels a nice box of different teas, some real fruit and a bigger variety of little jams. There is adequate cereals and coffee, but not earl grey or herbal tea. We bought the milk/bread we like which made good sense but that could also go down as a preference at booking.

Very friendly host. The shower had great pressure and the bathroom was a great size. Having a washing machine & dryer was a real added bonus as we had been away for a week. The pool house was very nicely decorated with good parking right at the door.As it was hot the fans were an excellent bonus.The breakfast supplies were good. Will try to return again. WiFi was great. Our host gave us a small gift when we left which we really enjoyed.

There had been a storm which affected the swimming pool but was OK to paddle my feet in.

We loved everything about our stay at The Pool House. Lots of space, loved the pool to cool down in. Beautifully appointed and super comfortable.

A lovely country retreat, well decorated and great atmosphere. Had everything we needed.

Continental breakfast was included and was left in our cottage, ample supplies. Tastefully and generously fitted out with everything you would need for not just an overnight stay

Simply stunning decor and spacious. Much better than a motel and even has a washing machine and drier which was great after being away from home for a week. I only stayed for a night but look forward to coming back in the future.

Nothing to improve on...

I enjoyed knowing that the owner had such pride in the place. The location was excellent and piece of mind on a private property with no emergency housing resident issues. I felt like it was my own place.

Lovely decor and beautifully done but hate to say that too many fake plants and wonderful scatter cushions could attract some dust which is not good for allergy sufferers. I would remove several cushions from purely a cleaning perspective.

Our stay at the Pool House was absolutely great. The chalet is tastefully and stylishly decorated, was warm and comfortable, with everything provided. They even left a jar of their honey to have {Tui Bees, their own brand of honey}. We found it very relaxing, with comfortable lounge, throw rugs, big screen. Bathroom was big with washing machine provided. The bedroom was comfy. We would definitely recommend it, and would consider returning ourselves again in the future. The price was excellent value for such a nice little chalet. Great for a little getaway.

Beautiful decor and very light throughout, everything you need. Washing machine and dryer handy. Great size bathroom and the shower head is big with good water pressure. Bed very comfortable and warm. Immaculately kept. Owner is lovely.
