Beautiful property, very well maintained and in a fabulous location for enjoying the natural surroundings.

A little tricky to find (it's down some winding alleyways) but worth the effort. The very gracious, English speaking host treated us to beers after we had some trouble getting in (much appreciated after a long day of cycling). The acommodations were top-notch, and restaurants and a supermarket were nearby.

Really lovely hotel extremely comfortable. Beds amazing. All in all highly recommend
I like everything but it’s very hilly and if you’re not a good walker it’s not for you.
4.3
Nydelig frokost på takterrassen servert av verten hver morgen. Velig fin start på dagen, men fin utsikt over dalen.
Det var litt ulik størrelse på rommene, så vi savnet et lite kjøleskap på vårt og det kunne vært litt bedre plass på badet, men ellers veldig nytt og fint.

high standard accommodation excellent communication from owners … extremely helpful & friendly

It has all been said and I would endorse everyone's comments .... fabulous accommodation, wonderful hosting.

very good hosts, David and Paula were great! the room is in an interesting village, good experience to be there. the room is clean. there is a beautiful roof terrace, very nice.
the room is small, the balcony is extremely small, but this fits the style in the village.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. We could easily walk around the village from the house. The food was lovely.

Villa Otivar is in a narrow street in the middle of Otivar inaccessible by car but arrival and departure is made very easy by the owner who whisks you from the free parking to the hotel door in his TukTuk. Once inside we found a well thought out comfortable room with a great view over the surrounding hills from the balcony. The whole room was stylish and immaculate and it was a joy to sleep in such a comfortable bed. On the top floor there is a lovely relaxing terrace and small bar area where we took breakfast, which was extensive and generous. We thoroughly enjoyed it! The owners were kind, friendly and attentive preparing delicious food to suit our tastes. Our only disappointment was that we were only able to stay one night! In short there was nothing about Villa Otivar that we did not like - go if you can!
The only thing we would have liked is to have stayed longer.

Villa Otivar is a beautiful building, it has been renovated tastefully in an industrial style & our room was extremely comfortable. Milos rooftop bar is charming. Otivar itself is a friendly village with a few bars & restaurants.
As the owners were away there wasn't breakfast available on Sunday. Also the Tuktuk service was unavailable & we found the steep streets hard going.
4.3
Lovely, contemporary rooms in a traditional building. Although the room wasn’t large, the design was really well thought out and we were very comfortable.
Javi the barman was exceptional and couldn’t have been more helpful or generous with his time.

A hidden jewel of accommodation in Otivar! The owners are charming, friendly and do everything possible to make you feel welcome and cherished customers. Very well designed and modern. The top terrace has a cosy bar and lovely breakfast area and the breakfast is very good. We hope to return soon.

Beautiful place. Fab decor and ambience. Very tastefully decorated. Owners and staff so so nice and helpful. Dave (the owner) drives customers round the village in his tuktuk because some steep hills. Loved it 💗. Definitely recommended.

Sometimes you just find a hidden gem on Booking.com and this was one of them.
We got in contact with the host and after agreeing a pickup time did he pick us up with the electric Tuck Tuck and drove us to the accomodation. This was very enjoyable and we loved the 3 minute ride :).
After getting a drink at the bar, did he arrange the check-in and even put our luggage in our room.
Again fantastic service and a very friendly talkative host. We preferred this a lot more, then all the self-check ins.
Once we got in the room, it was spacious and beautiful.
The decorations, the walk-in shower, the windows that can fully open, it was our taste.
Beside that, everything was clean and comfortable.
The host then provided us with details on where to eat and gave advise on what to do in the surroundings.
For us everything was perfect!
Thank you very much Dave and Paula.
If we ever visit Andalusia again, we will definitely stay at Villa Otivar again.
If the tuck tuck dos not work its a steep climb down the hill in to the village.
This climb is not recommended for people that have trouble walking.

Great communication from the host. Dave kindly booked lunch and preordered for us at a local restaurant. Dave picked us and our luggage up in a Tuk Tuk. The streets are very narrow and not accessible by car. You will have to leave your car on the Main Street. We were given a warm welcome and a refreshing beer at the lovely rooftop bar. Our room was lovely. Nicely decorated and with everything you need including bathrobes. Great views to the mountains. The bed was super comfy. There is also a kettle with teas and coffees. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom and a great shower. Dave drove us up the hill to the restaurant - El Capricho - in the Tuk Tuk- super fun! The roast chicken with apple was fantastic! In the evening we enjoyed sitting in the bar, where the drinks came with tapas. Try the Mojito. It was scrummy. The host is super friendly and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Villa Otivar or to stay again.
Nothing.

We stayed just one night. It’s a bit hard to find. Google maps helped us. You have to park your car outside the village centre. If you call the Canadian owner he will drive you with your luggage with his TukTuk. The B&B is located in renovated house in a typical moorish village. It’s organized like a maze to defend it better back in the days.
You get a warm welcome from the owners. They invited us for a drink on the rooftop where a bar/restaurant is. We got a room on the ground floor. It was very clean and for us it was big enough.
We had nice hike in the area, rio verde. The country side is beautiful, but like most Spanish villages in the country it’s very very quiet. We had a good meal in Restaurante Buenavista.
We paid for breakfast but, due to communication problems we did not had a breakfast in the B&B We had our breakfast in Buenavista. The owner insists to pay out breakfast, wich was very kind. He brought us later with our luggage to our car.
The groundfloor room is a little bit noisy. I recommend to use earplugs.
The shower is half open wich causes a waterballet.
2 couples asked us the way to this B&B…I recommend to use your google maps.
According to Spanish standards this B&B is a little bit expensive.

Dave and Paula were great hosts and Dave picking us up and dropping us back to the car in the tuk-tuk was great fun and very helpful.
The noise from the bar was very noisy and kept me awake until it closed around 11.15pm, then it was very quiet and the rest of the night we had a good sleep.
4.3
Rooms have 5 star touches in this charming little B and B. Owners truly care and there’s an amazing vibration.
Nothing was negative.

exceeded expectation. view from the room we had near the courtyard. very nice staff.

Paula and David are great hosts! They made a lovely place in a small village. On the roof you can relax in the bar or at a lounge area. Rooms are very comfortable and modern. Breakfast is good!
4.3
This place is wonderful - situated in the mazy streets of Otivar, and with views across the valley. Stylish rooms with everything thought of, and narrow but fully functional and very sunny balconies! Good breakfast set up too. Paula and Dave are very friendly and accommodating and complete the package. Dave gave me some entertaining rides up the hill in his TukTuk - a vehicle which seems to have the side streets of Otivar all to itself.

Dave and Paula are amazing hosts! The house is super nice with a great bar on the rooftop! The rooms are modern very well decorated and super clean! I will come back again for sure ;-)

The hosts Dave and Paula were extremely friendly and offered an exceptional service. The hotel offers everything you can hope for and much more. The rooftop terrace bar was a real gem and even had fairy lights and heaters for when it started to get a bit chilly.
Nothing, we liked it all.

Extremely warm and helpful host. Excellent tapas and breakfast served on roof terrace with a wonderful view to the green valley.
Be prepared to accept a noisy English tapas-rendezvous at the roof terrace if you plan to stay on a Friday - an interesting experience anyway.

The people: Dave and Paula are amazing and fun 🤩! Here you come to blend with the owners and locals and have drinks and food at the cozy rooftop bar. These are people who care, and make you feel welcome, from the pick-up with the Tuktuk from the top of the village [cool] till the last crumb of your breakfast. They give great tips like the adventurous hike to Rio Verde (challenging without [canyoning] guides) and where to have dinner at the local restaurants (which are awesome too). After 23:00 it’s quiet in the village and hotel for a good night sleep. And room 5 (where we stayed) has airco (big plus). Breakfast is delicious! The hotel is brand new (April 2021) and looks great.
In the bathroom sometimes you can smell the kitchen. And if you want to have peace and quiet all day, this is not the place to stay. But I strongly recommend to join the fun, it’s totally worth it.

Wonderful welcoming owners.
Amazing views from the roof top bar and chilling area.
The rooms were finished to a lovely standard and equipped eith everything you need…
Would 100% recommend to any one looking for a perfect little place to stay for a couple of nights in the mountains or while visiting Rio Verde.
Honestly there’s nothing not to like…
You’re in a mountain village so you can’t ask for more…

Stayed for 2 nights, great location with amazing view. The hotel is new and beautiful and the highlight is definitely our welcoming hosts Paula and Dave who upgraded our experience with exceptional hospitality! Paula’s food is the best in town with amazing tapas and breakfast in Dave’s great bar on the rooftop. They welcomed us so kindly with our dog as well, and made us feel at home. Will definitely come back!
