The house and the property were absolutely beautiful, better than the pictures! We would recommend this house to anyone! The house was super clean and fully stocked with everything you could need. It is the perfect location to visit door county.

Instructions were perfect. Clean, easy to find, great house and layout. Big kitchen, like the round table for many. Back deck looking out to bay is nice, used the fire pit 2x in 3 nights. Bedrooms were spacious, beds comfortable. Bathrooms big and well constructed. Parking for several cars. The only thing I’d add….A ladder for the dock would make it much easier to get into and out of water. It was the difference between some swimming and others not. Add a garbage can to the upstairs bedrooms. Nothing bad about this place.

Our family of six stayed for a week in August 2024. Clean and comfortable house with all the amenities. Relaxing place to sit and watch the waves and the sunset. Kids enjoyed fishing though they didn't catch much. We visited several state and county parks in the county and had wonderful weather for hiking.

We have been staying in Door every summer for a week at a time but always on the “quiet” side for the last eight years. This was our first time on the bay. The sunsets could not be beat! The house had everything you could possibly need. We stayed with our three boys ages 18-6 and almost 2 y/o Bernedoodle. It was perfect, very clean and had comfy beds. We were the perfect distance from everything. Nights were quiet with clear skies to view the stars. Andrew was even there at a moment’s notice when I couldn’t locate the door code. The home is beautiful. Book it! You will not be disappointed.

We loved our week at Stone Duck! The house layout was perfect for our group of parents and young adults. Huge kitchen was great for cooking and gathering. Plenty of room to both be together in the comfy living room, fire pit area for s’mores and viewing the gorgeous sunsets, relaxing on the dock, grilling on the deck - but also to spread out in the many seating areas outside. Great location close to many towns and adventures. The only very minor regret was that the listing describes the dock as having a swimming ladder, and there was not one. While the water was pretty chilly for swimming during our stay, it seems that that misleading information might be disappointing for families hoping to be at the house and easily, get in and out of the water.

This vacation home is one of the best we've stayed in over the years! It was beautifully decorated, very clean with a wonderful deck and back yard right on the water. The owners were very responsive and check in was a breeze. This is an excellent "home base" away from the crowds AND conveniently located to easily get around Door County. If you're planning a trip to Door County, I encourage you to rent this place - if we come back, we'd want to stay here!

The property was very nice and perfect for our two families. This was my first time to Door County. Very beautiful and serene. It definitely would have been a better trip in the summer so that we could enjoy the lake and all of the fun summer activities. We knew that going in. We hiked on the closest street. I'm sure there were hiking trails we could have driven to, but decided to stay close to the property. The neighbors were very nice and the owners were very accomodating. This was a perfect little winter getaway for us.

The Stone Duck is one of the most comfortable, well-appointed cottages we've had the pleasure of renting. The location is an ideal spot to just sit and stare at the water (which we did - a lot!) or use as home-base to explore all that Door County has to offer. It's truly an exceptional property.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Stone Duck and it did not disappoint! The house was exactly as pictured (now with updated flooring which was great), very comfortable and with all the amenities wanted. The outside was even better, and we enjoyed many a morning and evening on the decks, dock, and at the firepit. Our stay at the Stone Duck made our entire Door County trip that much more enjoyable, and if we come back to the area we would definitely stay again. We recommend to anyone looking to explore the area as a fantastic base of operations! Thank you Laughlins!

This property is as described. Master is on first floor which was perfect for my in-laws. Other bedrooms are upstairs. We had plenty of space for 5 adults. The back deck is large and has excellent views of the lake. There is also plenty of seating closer to the water. The location was close to many activities. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay here again! Great place for a relaxing vacation!!!

We loved our stay here as much as we did last year. An added bonus this year was the updated wood-look vinyl plank flooring throughout the first floor. It is beautiful! It's also a huge bonus that we are able to use the garage which makes my husband extremely happy that he can have some covered parking for his car.

This was our second year staying here. The house is modern, clean and has amazing views of Green Bay. The great deck allows for hours of watching the water, birds and sunsets. Easy access to main Door County Road and downtown Sturgeon Bay.

We hit the jackpot with weather. So great to see all the spring green growth and crabapples. House is as just as great as every other time I have stayed - clean and comfortable. I now refer to it as ‘my place in Door County’. Met neighbors to the north and their pups.

We wanted to experience Door County in the winter and found it to be wonderful. As this was my second time at the Stone Duck it felt familiar, cozy and comfortable.- especially with the decorated Christmas tree and other holiday touches. The new flooring throughout the first floor is beautiful!
There was no snow yet and the villages are quiet but it was perfect weather for hiking. If you come this time of year check out Whitefish Dunes and walk on the deserted beach. My dog was so happy!

We felt at home immediately. The property inside and out was clean and well cared for. We loved the well designed large porch overlooking the Bay. We had a campfire by the water each night. Very private and quiet. Loved finding the Expen that we could use to block off the deck stairs allowing the dog to be out on the porch as well. So great to be on vacation with my dog. Thank you, thank you!
