This worked perfect for our family. We have 8 grandchildren and their parents which put us at 16. Fit perfectly. Two tv areas downstairs. We could lock off the toddlers in one room with us and older kids watched tv in the other den. Perfect! Nice big kitchen table area for meals and to do crafts with kids. Good location…center of town.

The house is located in the hart of Crested Butte with 5 minutes drive to the mountain and walking distance to pretty much everything, restaurants, bars, stores, coffee shop. One of the coffee shops was right next door(Camp 4 Coffee). We would stop by every day after skiing. Great place!!!! The house is very clean and well stocked for a big group, double dishwashers, double washers and dryers. There is a two car spots in the back, but you can probably fit a third one. Overall is a great place to stay. If we ever go back to Crested Butte with a big group it would be a first choice to stay at.

Had a birthday party weekend with 10 ppl. Great amount of space. Big table in kitchen where we all socialized. Plenty of parking for 4 cars, maybe even squeeze in a 5th. Great house if you are looking for a convenience location to town and also bus to ski area for a large group. Could use more living room furniture instead of the small round table.

The home was perfect for our family of 9 with plenty of room for all. And the location is in the heart of the town. Communication with the property management was personable and timely. You won’t regret choosing this property.

If you're looking to be in the heart of a mountain town, this is the place to be! This home sits on the main drag in Crested Butte among all of the retail shops. It was great during the day to run right next door for a quick cup of coffee or a new sweatshirt. Not so great at night. Plowing started some mornings as early as 3AM. And lots of foot traffic and socializing at all hours of the night right outside your front door. If your room is located toward the front of the home, you won't get much sleep, or at least I didn't. LOTS of bedrooms, which was amazing. The listing was a bit confusing to us as far as beds are concerned. We chose this property because it showed at least 1 king bed and 4 queen beds. We were a bit disappointed to see only 1 king and 3 ACTUAL queen BEDS. There was a queen pullout sofa bed, but the mattress was so thin you could feel the springs. Not an option for us... Speaking of beds, I highly recommend you bring your own pillows. At this price point, we were extremely disappointed in the pillows. Pathetic... One of our biggest challenges was the temperature within the home. If we were warm downstairs, the people upstairs were BURNING HOT. Each night we tried something different with the thermostats, but never really got it right. It would be nice for the host to provide some direction on this item. Trash was a bit of an issue. The host mentioned a trash container on the front porch, but it wasn't there. The bear proof trash containers in the back were full our entire stay. I'm not even certain those containers were meant for us. By the time our stay ended, we had mounds of trash just outside the back door. Parking was really tough. For such a large home that sleeps so many, parking is lacking. The host said there was room for "4ish vehicles". There is only room for 3 unless you drive a Mini-Cooper. We regularly had to search for legal parking for our 4th vehicle, which didn't end so well one night. I'll just say the parking signs can be a bit confusing. The home is well stocked and there were some nice features. Remodeled bathrooms, pretty washcloths for makeup removal, 2 sets of washers and dryers, etc. It's within walking distance to shuttles and lots of shopping and food. If you want to be among it all day and all night, this might be the perfect place for you! We prefer a bit more outdoor space, wildlife, and privacy. Don't forget to bring your pillow!!

Fun and comfortable

We spent 5 nights in the Hunt House to celebrate our family Christmas. The home is perfect for a large group with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen with the large table is great for a large group. We had a wonderful time and the location is perfect!

We all had a wonderful Christmas staying at the Hunt House. Kids played in the snow, got to sled and ice skate. Families all skied. Great house.

We had a wonderful time. There was some clothes left on floor from previous guest that were missed during prep but other than that, great house aa d experience.

By far the best location of any VRBO property that we have ever rented in Crested Butte. The home was spacious, clean and extremely convenient.

Wonderful location! Love the history of this house and its cozy feel. It fit our family needs well; we enjoyed people watching as we shared takeout dinner on the front porch. (we brought our own table). Handy bike rack out back. Loved walking the neighborhood with hummingbird feeders and flowers.

We stayed with our six kids and had more than enough space. Our girls commented, "It's like a house from Anne of Green Gables!" We enjoyed being right on the main street in town, nextdoor to a fantastic coffee shop and around the corner from a health grocer. The house is spacious and charming, with many modern upgrades, making it very comfortable and relaxing. Thank you, Hunt Family!

This house is incredible. Located on the main street in town, it has plenty of room for a large group. The spacious kitchen was great for family meals and card games and the bedrooms were all nicely decorated and cozy. The house is well equipped and a fabulous stay. Communication with the homeowner and rental property management was excellent and swift. This gem is not to be missed!

The location of the property is just amazing. It is located within a 2 minute walk to multiple bus stations, which makes getting to the slopes very easy especially for a large family not wanting to drive their cars. The rooms are all very good in terms of warmth. Each room has a heater on the floor except for the master. These heaters warm the rooms up exceptionally and will require you to turn them down otherwise the top two floors will be very very hot. All the rooms are large and have room to move around in and keep luggage. The beds are decent however, don't forget a pillow as the provided pillows just aren't up to the task. The living room and kitchen are outstanding and super great for large families and children. The kitchen has a large table that seatsbjust about everyone you can fit in the house. The backyard and side yard provide ample entertainment during the snow season with all the excess snow for children to play in. I would definitely stay here again!

We love this home for it's location and size. The kitchen is wonderful for large groups. I would have given 5 stars, but the mattresses could use an upgrade and as well as the couches. Otherwise a fantastic home.

We stayed at Hunt house over a long weekend with 5 adults and 6 kids. We were amazed at the amount of space - everyone had plenty of room and we never felt crowded. The house has some great features for big groups, such as a huge kitchen, two dishwashers and two laundry facilities. Everything we needed was provided and well-stocked. The location is great, very Central to all of the good restaurants, bars and shopping in town and a quick walk to the bus stop to get to the mountain. I would definitely recommend this house for big groups and we would stay here again.

We loved the location of this property. We could walk to all of the restaurants and stores as well as to the Nordic Center and the ice skating rink. We were a short walk to the shuttle to Crested Butte. There was a big kitchen with a table for our group of 15. Updated bathrooms, some with a view of crested butte from the shower.

Great location on Elk so you can go out to all the shops and restaurants just out the front door. The main shuttle is just a block and a half away. Lots and lots of bedrooms for larger groups.

We enjoyed our stay at Hunt House in Crested Butte. Great property! Big kitchen with large farm table for entire family to eat, play games and visit together. It was a wonderful Christmas vacation for our family.

This house was so much better than we expected. It was clean, comfortable, huge. And in the best location. Old Victorian style with modern too die for bathrooms. Perfect for our extended family!

Perfect House, an old fashioned rooming house for family coming in from Illinois, AZ, New York, CA, Canada. It was a melting pot for sure. Plenty of room with three floors of bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Everyone loved staying in this house on this quiet stretch of Elk Street . Highly Recommend! Our large extended family thoroughly enjoyed our annual visit to Crested Butte. The Hunt House is perfect with it's wonderful homey interior to it's great location on Elk Ave. We hope to return every year!!

We couldn't believe this house could fulfill our expectations. Clean, well kept, and plenty of room. Nearby staff answered all our questions. Walking distance to almost all activities. Cannot recommend this place enough. Thank You. We will be back.
