Cute little home felt very comfortable

It was a cute little older home. With nice updates on the inside. They are definitly doing work to the exterior. In the description it said there was a grill. Which there was unfortunately there was so many large black trash bags you could not get to it. The first step at the side walk was broken. And the railing inaide was very loose. Although there was some minor issues we enjoyed out atay.

To be fair it was clean, and I didn’t get grossed out. The host was quick to respond and helpful. The place however is in need of repair. The steps up to the house are a hazard, the backyard had over ten bags of trash piled on the lawn ripped up from raccoons. The beds/pillows are very sparse on comfort and there was an empty cigarette carton in the drawer of the bedroom. Also there are no blinds on any of the windows except the bathroom so you can’t change at night with the lights on. The bathrooms are updated and clean. We felt safe at the house and the neighborhood didn’t make us feel uncomfortable. Overall depending on your group and your expectations it’s not bad as long as you know going into the stay that it works for you.

The house has some safety hazards. Second floor window is about to fall inward. The carpet on stairs has staples coming out of it. It poled my husband’s foot. Front porch is titled and has a broken glass window. Overall the house is dated and has a certain old scent especially in the bathrooms. The access via door code was easy. The house has stove, fridge, microwave, dishes, pans, ironing board. I texted the home owner a few times but he never replied.

The check-in process was completely seamless thanks to the owner's good communication beforehand. The house was very nice and cozy. And be sure to check out Scoopy Dooby's ice cream! It was delicious!

The house was older as were all the houses in the area seem like they were from the 1800's but inside there were modern facilities in the living room, kitchen and the two bathrooms. The area was safe and the neighbors were friendly. There were wild life walking around but they just ignored us.

Enjoyed our stay Christmas tree made it more warm & inviting. Coffee pods available as well as Netflix. Could have use more pillows. Otherwise a very comfortable stay with plenty of room. House was warm despite outside cold. Was concerned about ice on the flight of stairs to the house but there was dry ice available. Just very comfortable.

We were pleasantly surprised to find two bathrooms, when the listing said one. This property served our purposes well( home base as we did day trips and visited w/ son)
