We had the best stay at Carolina del Mar! Miguel was so accommodating and helpful during our week stay. The house was beautiful and comfortable for the 5 couples we had. It is in the perfect location w/ the proximity to Tamarindo and being right on the beach. We will definitely be back as we had so much fun!

The home was beautiful, and clean. The property manager, Miguel was very responsive any time of day. He was always courteous and arranged for a private chef and daily maid service. The beach has something for everyone, lots of tide pools and a few sandy places for swmg. Tamarindo and surfing is just a short elk away through the community gate. A great vacation!

The property was great- the host was fantastic! We were close to town but in a private gated subdivision-everyone was very happy. We had a meal catered at the house that was wonderful. Great trip.

We loved this property so much! We were 3 generations, with 2 children ages 7 and 2. The bedroom set up with private bathrooms was perfect, and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and, for a reasonable fee, we enjoyed a full breakfast each day from Ingrid, and 2 delicious dinners by Chef Richard. We also enjoyed meals out at Green Papaya, El Pelicano, Ocean, and Sharkys Bar to watch a college football game. Miguel was excellent at coordinating our meals, transportation, and excursions. We enjoyed the estuary boat tour with Moises, zip lining, and the monkey Park animal rehab center. We also loved having the pool and beach within steps of the house. Someone came every day to clean the pool and do the landscaping and it was beautiful! One word of advice - bring a lot of cash. Almost everything, including some restaurants, is done in cash - US dollars preferred. We are hoping to return to Carolina Del Mar in the near future!

I found this fabulous house knowing nothing about costa rica and planned our groups entire trip around it, which was risky, but it didn't disappoint. Our group had a variety of desires from zip lining, catamaran, surfing, massages, all day adventures, private chefs, etc, and they really made our dreams come true. The house, if possible, is even more fabulous in person. The private beach off the house is rocky, but fabulous for sunsets and the public beach a couple doors down is great for activities. My group had a fabulous time!

Wonderful

We had the most amazing time staying at Casa Carolina Del Mar. The setting of the house is magical, with the endless sound of the ocean and stunning nightly sunsets - we were so sad to leave. The house itself was comfortable and homely with lovely art produced by the very talented owner - it is perfect for a family like ours with three young kids but could easily cater for a larger group. The direct beach access was a real treat - we will miss the sound of the crashing waves and the nightly visits from the friendly raccoons. We stayed in the house for a month and it passed in a flash but the happy memories will stay with us always.

The house is gorgeous and location is amazing! Andrea, the concierge was unbelievable! she helped make our trip one of the best vacations we have taken. Rent golf carts.. so fun!! We had Chef Frank come cook for us which was amazing. The house itself.. perfection!!!. Decor, style and the feel of indoor outdoor living you can’t beat. And the sunsets.. wow!!! We will be back next year for sure! Pura Vida!

The property is so nice......we arrived to the home after it was dark and Andrea met us at the home and was sweet enough to get us some groceries from the market. Andrea toured the house with us and had the handyman come to the house to look at the two minor issues that we had. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we felt to comfortable at the home and the City of Tamarindo that we did not want to leave after our 6 days was up. The weather during our stay over Thanksgiving was absolutely perfect. We could not have asked for a better experience. The trip to the Liberia airport and all our our Costa Rica adventures were arranged by Andrea and everyone was so kind and wanted to make our experience perfect. I would recommend getting a golf cart for the trips into town.

Simply unbelievable. This house really has it all. The views are utterly amazing. The pool is perfect. The layout is great. And the staff is beyond compare. I stayed there for just over three weeks with my cousin, his wife, and their two kids for two weeks, then with my best friend from college for the last week, and I didn’t have one issue and never found one thing wrong. From the get-go, Andrea connected with us to figure out what we wanted to do, then just set everything up with no more input. Golf cart, fishing, sailboat sunset cruise, massages, cooks, and much more. This place is my new go-to for vacations. Tamarindo is fantastic; this house is utterly sublime. It’s close enough to town (a 20 minute walk - I recommend getting a golf cart) to be accessible to “the fun” but enough away such that you are in your own private oasis. I cannot wait to go back, and could not recommend this house any more highly.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful vacation at this property. The each room was even more spectacular than the photos represent. We particularly enjoyed the pool and the outside covered living and dining areas. We enjoyed coffee each morning on one of the verandas facing the ocean. Andrea was a perfect hostess, attending to all of our needs including tour bookings and arranging for an authentic Costa Rican lunch which was prepared for us at the villa. Anytime we had a question, she was quick to respond. The Tamarindo beach and town is a short walk down the beach. I would definitely recommend renting the golf cart however. This made it easy to make the short drive to town for dinner, shopping, etc... Our family vacation to Costa Rica was a fabulous and the villa experience made it perfect!

The sunset from this house is amazing every night! The house itself is beautiful and the staff is amazing! We had 12 adults and 1 child and it slept everyone very comfortably. They cleaned our rooms every day. We rented a couple of golf carts to ride into town and it was a lot of fun being so close to Tamarindo. We hired Chef Frank to come cook for us one night and the food was delicious! That was our favorite dinner and evening. Miguel taught 4 of us surfing lesson and he is a great teacher and very friendly. We loved his dog "Zoe"! Even Zoe surfs. We will definitely come back to Tamarindo and rent the Carolina Del Mar! Thanks for the memories that our family was able to make! We will cherish them forever! The owner of the house is an artist and we loved her art! We felt like we were at home in the house! You will not regret booking this house! Lots of great restaurants close by, and some great shops!

This is home a PREMIER home with all the amenities you can imagine! From the concierge to the cooks! It was perfect! From the moment we confirmed the reservation, Andrea reached out to me and was SO patient when I couldn't decide what excursions/activities to do with my family. This vacation would not have been possible without all the help she provided. She also helped me find a Chef Frank with BellyFedbetter that would come to the house to cook amazing meals for all of us. Also, EVERY morning, Ingrid was there cooking us a delicious Costa Rican breakfast including fresh cut fruit and and other goodness! A few nights, we had some local cooks - lead by Sandra - come in a prepare a simple, yet very satisfying meal for us. She was so nice and everything was amazing. All in all, an amazing home.... and I'll definitely come back!!

Carolina Del Mar is an amazing home with spectacular views. The best thing is that the house didn't have negative surprises. The beds we comfortable, the linens soft, A/C worked perfectly... Other stays in CR have been different. We'll be back. Hats off to Andrea and Ingrid who did a great job in setting us up for success on this vacation. I highly recommend this house for anyone looking for all the comforts of home with ocean views and sand between your toes

We stayed at this home just after Christmas and through New Year's and it was amazing! The photos are nice, but they don't do the home justice. Nothing was spared, decor, artwork, and poolside relaxation were wonderful. The close proximity to the town of Tamarindo was great for dining, shopping, and beautiful walks. Sunset out front and from the upper deck was a daily ritual, and watching the New Years fireworks from the front garden area was a great way to top off an amazing vacation! Guest- Sarah Weiss

We had a wonderful time at Carolina Del Mar and in Tamarindo over Christmas, 2017. The villa is beautiful...five extremely well done bedrooms, each with a first class bathroom, and an outdoor patio or balcony. The living space is so comfortable and oriented to the infinity edge pool and ocean. Dining is outdoors....again, you are looking at the pool and ocean! With the perfect weather, we were so comfortable eating there on the covered outdoor patio. ( And we never used the bug repellent we brought with us)! The kitchen is wonderful and easy to use...all the appliances and tools you would want. And there is a big and excellent grill. We ate at home five of our seven nights which was delightful. We started with cocktails watching the sunset and had a later dinner which we bought locally, much of it right off the fish trucks in town. We had lots of activities planned, and enjoyed the zip line. But everyone fell in love with surfing after the surf lessons with Miguel on the first day. The beach in front of Carolina Del Mar is a bit rocky, but it is a five minute walk to a curved, sandy beach with small waves for the beginner surfers. This home and location are truly spectacular. We would give it ten stars if possible! Thanks to all of the staff and new friends who made this vacation so memorable.

Casa Carolina is nestled in a small private gated community easy walking distance to town ---- great restaurants, wonderful shopping and more beautiful sandy beaches. Location is great ( easy shuttle ride from the airport), and the house is brand new construction-- Enter through the picturesque courtyard to a bright open concept Great Room with a sectional sofa large enough for your whole crew to gather. To the far end is a fully appointed Kitchen, with all sliding doors that open to the outdoor kitchen and infinity pool. This spacious home is decorated with the owners art work throughout. Each of the five bedrooms has its own generous size full bathroom with gorgeous Venetian plaster walls, individually controlled AC and ample closet space. Most of the bedrooms also have their own balcony. The staff was most helpful in arranging transportation from the airport, wonderful massages on site, and a chef to prepare your feast. Surfing lessons were also offered. Fabulous stay at this ultimate retreat,... your own little slice of heaven! Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!

If you are looking for a piece of paradise, this is it. This beautiful newly built home has it all! Starting from the spacious and comfortable living, kitchen and outside dining area. To the beautifully decorated rooms with original art work from the owner, to the custom built furniture from local craftsmen. Each bedroom has a private bathroom and balcony with the most amazing views of the ocean and sunset. Each night we had our own private show of the exquisite sunsets that Costa Rica provides. From the moment we stepped off the plane we felt pampered. Transportation was arranged from and to the airport, I had one of the best massages from Ingrid who came to the house and on our last night we had an amazing dinner that a private chef came in to cook for us. The house is large enough that with eight people we still had enough space to have our own quiet time away from each other. We were either lounging by the pool, walking to the beautiful beaches, taking small road trips to see the countryside, or going to town to eat at one of the many wonderful restaurants. The location of this house was perfect. I have to say that we had the most relaxing vacation that we have ever had. Beautiful home, beautiful country and the most enjoyable company. It could not have been better!!

We just enjoyed one of our best vacations ever! Costa Rica is beautiful but staying in this lovely home made for the perfect trip. This home was designed for comfort. Each bedroom has its own private balcony and bath. The view of the ocean is spectacular and we could walk to restaurants and to Tamarindo. You can relax on the lanai or throw open the doors and bring the beauty of the outdoors inside. All of our travel companions are 'foodies' and the kitchen was a dream for us. Looking forward to a return trip to 'Carolina Del Mar!!

Wow!...Is the best way to describe Carolina del Mar. This brand new home is over the top. Sitting right on the Paciffic Ocean, the sunset views are amazing. Every bedroom is like having your own private suite. I could not believe how many great restaurants were so close to this madnificent home. This house is the perfect choice in the ideal spot! I honestly don't think you could find a better vacation home on the west coast of Costa Rica than Carolina del Mar!

Spent 7 days at this brand new home overlooking the Pacific ocean with four other couples. From the grounds, to the furnishings, to the art, to the the infinity edge pool, to the five suites, could not have asked for anything more! The Tamarindo area is beautiful and there is plenty to do whether you like to relax, shop, grab a bite or drink on the beach, surf, or go sport fishing, it's all there. Most highly recommended!

We had an amazing girls' weekend at this water front home. We spent the evenings sipping on cocktails beside the pool under the star-filled sky. Sunset was a post card picture scene. The kitchen is modern with all the appliances you can image so gourmet meals can be prepared at home. The rooms are spacious with adjoining bathrooms. This is a dream come true house. The design is cozy and modern. I plan on returning sooner than later!

Absolutely fabulous house! And we had an absolutely great vacation! Whether you want to chill out by the pool with stunning views, walk the beach, walk in to town, or walk to a charter fishing boat, this house is in the perfect spot to do it all. And we did all that! Plus we took day trips into the gorgeous mountains and to several secluded beaches, including the famed Lolu's. The finishes on the house are first rate, the artwork, the furniture, the pool and everything about the house are all first class. Each room has its own air conditioner. There was not one thing we were lacking during our week long stay. Only wished we could have stayed longer. The sunsets are really killer, whether in the pool or the few steps down to the ocean, every night was gorgeous. We dined out several nights in Tamarindo which has many great restaurants and the town itself has a layed-back surfer village feel. Really nice shopping area and good grocery stores to stock the kitchen. We'll be back soon!
