Beautiful setting with fantastic sea views from the front appartments. ( See view is a must) Extremely friendly and accommodating owners. The appartment was spacious and cleaned daily. The property is on a steep hill and there were 30 steps up to our third floor appartment. There is a lift in the main block but not in the two annexes. Not suitable for people with mobility issues. Agia Efimia is a wonderful little village with a number of quality restaurants within a short walking distance of the property.

There are two small pools in front of the annexes which should be a bonus to people using the accommodation. Unfortunately there were only SIX sun beds and THREE parasols servicing the entire complex. It has been said before on previous reviews that this is not enough but nothing has changed. The footprint of the patio area lends itself to at the very least doubling this number. There are tables on the patio which are never used, they could easily be replaced by extra sun beds and parasols. Holiday makers want a sun bed and sunshade next to a pooln not an oversized table and chairs.I did not see one person use the tables and chairs in the week we were there. I accept that the set up is aesthetically pleasing on the eye but it’s just not practical in my opinion. The lack of sun beds led to the usual frustrations with the 6.40am early risers putting their towels out but not actualy using the beds until after 10am and then disappearing for an extended lunch break. I can’t be doing with this selfish entitled behaviour. I would have loved to have had a couple of lazy days around the pool myself but it wasn’t an option unless you got involved in the early morning towel dash. Apart from sunbedgate the only other issue for us in our appartment was the inefficient air conditioning. It is fair to say that you can’t have it always because it was a very spacious appartment. The air con just couldn’t cope and I ended up sleeping under the air con unit in the kitchen on the sofa bed. Not really a game changer for me. Would I come back to this accommodation ? The answer is a resounding yes but only if there was a better chance of getting a sun bed now and again. The proprietors are so friendly but unfortunately some people take advantage of their good nature to the detriment of other quests.

fantastic view of the Bay and the pools were the best. The Apartment’s and the staff were very friendly and always on hand if you had a problem. Also provided was a stater pack of tea, biscuits, coffee and wine.

The shower fittings need updating, as the wet rooms are small, but manageable.

Very friendly and helpful staff, perfect location, we had a really good time there!

The room was sparkling clean and the staff where very hospitable and welcoming. Lovely touches to the apartment such as olive oil, coffee, milk, juice & wine on arrival. Brilliant location right next to the sea.

The room was basic and the bed not so comfy. The neighbouring apartments bathrooms looked onto our balcony meaning it was very noisy and not very private.

Great value for money very clean, basic but well equipped studio for 3 friends. Had 3 comfortable single beds, 2 balconies small one with sea view and lovely large one with mountain view. Run by lovely friendly, helpful family. 2 pools with great views for cooling off in. Brilliant location, very peaceful, but only a short walk into harbour for numerous tavernas and a few bars.

The location in the town was perfect just a short walk down for a swim in the sea either below the Cactus bar or further along on the Paradise beach. Both small but peaceful. Two small but lovely pools for the afternoon dip with sunbeds and umbrellas and showers.⁶ I loved the extras like oil and vinegar for salad dressing, coffee, orange juice and a bottle of wine.

The kitchenette is great for breakfast and lunch but dinner would be a little more difficult to prepare in the space. But given all the restaurants nearby not necessarily as a good meal can be had at reasonable prices.

Location, cleanliness, good sized accommodation, friendly and helpful host

Limited utensils (bakeries don’t slice bread - a bread knife would have made all the difference!)

Mema’s appartement is perfectly located to visit Cephalonua island. Agia Efimia is an authentic place where it is good to stay with a lot of varois restaurant options. The flat is simple and has everything you need + a pool as a great highlight! Many thanks also to the great hosts!
