This unit is fabulous. Has everything you need, owner is extremely responsive and helpful. And the location is spectacular. You walk off the lanai onto a plush lawn that is on a cliff with full ocean view. During our stay we saw whales daily and enjoyed watching the surfers. The only slight negative with this unit is the stairs. While technically a ground floor unit, there are 2+ flights of stairs to get down to it, so this should be a consideration if you have mobility issues. Other wise I can't say enough good things about the experience. Definitely recommend.

If are here--reading this, stop now and book this condo! Our stay at this exquisite, well-appointed beach condo was an absolute delight! From booking to check-out, our experience with Keith and this location was magnificent. Set perfectly along the coastline, Pu'u Poa 111 offered a beautiful, quiet escape with close access to the pool and beach. The condo itself was a haven of elegance and comfort. Every detail, from the beautiful decor to the plush furnishings, exuded luxury. The spacious layout allowed room for all of us to relax, while the views of the ocean from the living area and lanai were breathtaking. What truly set this condo apart were its thoughtful amenities. The fully equipped kitchen made meal preparation a breeze, the provided soaps and shampoos were amazing, and the private fully stocked lanai provided a perfect spot for watching the waves and sunsets. The attention to detail was evident in the quality of linens, the cleanliness of the space, and the modern appliances—all of which enhanced the overall experience. The access to the lawn was a game-changer for us. We could walk out to the cliff, lounge in grass, or watch the birds and nene. The provided outdoor gear—chairs, umbrellas, etc.—added an extra layer of convenience. Keith deserves applause for his attentiveness and professionalism. Any questions or needs were promptly answered, contributing to a hassle-free and enjoyable stay. If we head back to this area, staying here again is our first priority!

My husband and I spent two wonderful weeks on Kauai’s north coast. The photos of this listing sold me, and accurately reflect the beauty of the condo. The owner is the best I've ever dealt with, responding quickly and completely to questions and supplying his guide to seeing and doing all the best on Kauai. I spent every morning sitting on the lanai watching the sunrise over the ocean, with the resident NeNe geese checking in with me. This property is not beachfront, but is oceanfront with gorgeous views, and a quick walk down the grass to the pool. We appreciated the AC units as we adjusted to the humidity in the lush Princeville area.

We have rented in Pu'u Po'a several times in addition to other places on Kauai. The best thing about the unit is the owner, Keith. A personalized welcome video on his Echo was the first indication that honest communication was one of his highest priorities. The fact that the unit is not rented through a management company results in a better supply of kitchen and beach items, both of which were impressive. Boogie boards, umbrellas, beach chairs and snorkel gear were all available. This was our first Pu'u Po'a rental on the ground floor, which has the distinct advantage of quick access to the pool. The views are maybe marginally not as good as the upper floors, but this unit has much better "Bali Hai" views compared to many of the other units that face more easterly. Many owners will tout having A/C, saying it's not common on Kauai. This is no longer really true at Pu'u Po'a since many of the owners have now installed A/C. Keith's system is one of the better ones, consisting of four mini-splits with individual controls connected to an outside compressor. One small negative, which is shared by many of the Pu'u Po'a units, is the use of doors with slats. The idea was probably that it would improve air circulation, but it results in a little less privacy. Hideaways Beach, directly below the condo, is one of the better snorkeling beaches on the island. It is still accessed by a fairly steep path, but it has been improved with new ropes and steps. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect! Keith was a great communicator. His emails, welcome packet, welcome video, welcome basket, welcome music…Need I say more? He also checked in with us mid stay just to be sure everything was good. The unit is gorgeous and the pictures, while amazing, don’t even do it justice. Perfect location. I could go on and on. Don’t keep looking. Just book it. You’ll be happy I promise. I’ve named our host THE Kauai Keith. Dan and Kelli.

The property is beautifully sited, convenient to Hanalei Bay and Napali coast (15 mins). Host was great at communicating with recommendations and help. Site is clifftop and view is beautiful, particularly at sunset. Nene joined us on the patio or grass each evening. The property has been around a while so expect stairs, a bit of 80s feel, and a few renovations needed but almost everything was perfect. T-Mobile service spotty, but Verizon not bad; WiFi was good. A/C good, but a bit noisy now and then. If staying here, plan to eat-in most meals as drive required to most restaurants and patio and dining views exceed available almost anywhere else.

If you are looking for the perfect place to stay on the North Shore, this is it. The condo is incredible. Perfectly equipped, amazing view, perfect location, the master bedroom bed is so comfortable, and Keith (the owner)…we have never worked with a better owner in all our years of vacationing. Keith is Host Extraordinaire! He is also an incredible concierge and ambassador for all things Kauai. No need to continue scrolling….this is the condo you want to rent and Keith is the owner you want to rent from!!! This place is Perfect!

I can say without hesitation that this is the best property we've ever rented. Here are just some of the reasons why this is the case: 1. Location: This condo is in the ideal location for a Kauai stay. Every morning you wake to the beautiful NaPali coast and the ocean, every evening you have the perfect sunset view. The condo sits above the best snorkeling beach in the area, and next to a 5-star hotel where you can go to a fancy dinner or have cocktails. 2. Property: The condo is spacious, bright and airy, has excellent air conditioning, is tastefully decorated. It has everything you need - top-notch snorkel gear, chairs, coolers, kitchen supplies, bath products. 3. Condo owner: Keith is the most helpful and responsive person I've ever rented from. He was more like a concierge than an owner - he provided excellent tips both before our stay and during, answered every question promptly. By the end he felt more like a friend than just a person we were renting from! We look forward to staying here again some day!

Me and my family couldn't have enjoyed our stay more! Keith was an outstanding host and made us feel as welcome as possible. We appreciate all of his effort to help us enjoy our vacation to the fullest with many great recommendations. Absolutely gorgeous condo, amazing views (particularly sunset). Well appointed kitchen, beautiful furnishings. Keith was by far the easiest and most responsive host we have ever encountered. He truly wants you to have the time of your life. He felt like a friend to us by the end of our stay, although we never met him face-to-face. If we ever have the opportunity to get back to the north shore, this is the only place we would consider staying.

We spent four amazing weeks in paradise, the first two with our long-time and loving friends from Kitchener, then the last two with our daughter and grandson. We traveled to the end of every main road in Kauai, from Ha'ena State Park to Barking Sands Beach and to the Pu'u O Kila Lookout at the top of Waimea Canyon. Some of the highlights of our stay besides spending quality time with family and friends, was snorkeling with turtles at Hideaway and Poipu Beaches, with the awesome beauty and uniqueness of Waimea Canyon. Thank you Keith for sharing your Kauai home with us, you have an impressive property and a location that people can only dream about. You are a gracious host who genuinely cares, you made our stay extraordinary and memorable.

Great home base for exploring the north side of Kauai! Keith was fantastic, lots of good recommendations and offerred support during our stay. We loved listening to the ocean at night, truly incredible!

This condo was a perfect place to stay on the North side. For starters, you can't find a better setting, right on the ocean. Second, the condo was huge! All of the common rooms are focused on the view of the ocean. The kitchen had everything you could need. The Lanai provided a perfect covered retreat from the sun. The proximity to Hanalei was amazing. Anyone looking for a 2bed/2bath unit should stay here. Amazing!

My husband and I loved this property! It is spacious, full of light and perfectly located on the bluff. Keith provides excellent recommendations for walkable and drivable restaurants, hikes and beaches. Great bedding, responsive communication from owner and thoughtful touches (Alexa welcome video/basket) to make our experience personal! We’ll be back!

The property is gorgeous, we absolutely loved the ground floor unit with the large patio for eating dinner with stunning views of the sunset. The unit is well stocked with great gear for snorkeling, boogey boarding, bocce ball, etc. The secluded beach that is just below the complex was the best we found on the island for snorkeling, and when everyone is done with the ocean, the kids loved swimming in the pool at the end of each day. Keith was the perfect host, so communicative and helpful with tons of great recommendations. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved the Puu Poa for its location (walking distance to Hideaways Beach, Puu Poa Beach, and Queen’s Bath), for its absolutely stunning sunsets viewed right from the unit’s kitchen, living room, lanai, and grassy lawn, and for the warmth and kindness of host Keith. Keith is lovely, helpful, and knows so much about Kauai. We really appreciated his recommendations for some hidden gems (in terms of activities and restaurants). He was readily available by phone/text for any needs we had while there. The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of dishes, cookware, and even sharp knives (which so many rentals don’t have!). The living room and sitting room were big, welcome gathering places that we enjoyed so much! The two bedrooms have comfortable beds with soft and lovely bedding! A/C worked well throughout the home and we slept comfortably because we could cool down after the warm summer days and evenings. The bathrooms are clean, but not renovated, as seen in the pictures. Literally everything about this place is awesome and we would come back to stay in this rental unit specifically!

Our family’s vacation in Kauai and our stay at this property was magical. The thoughtful details provided by the host truly set this vacation home apart from others. Hideaway Beach, just down a short path from the condo, was our favorite on Kauai. We arrived just before sunset and walked down to the beach, and it was breathtaking. The communication with the host both before and during our stay was so helpful in planning our activities while on the island. He went above and beyond to personalize details for us. I cannot recommend this vacation home enough. We can’t wait to come back soon!

My family and I spend four nights in Keith's condo and wished we stayed longer, a lot longer. We loved every second of it. The condo is very spacious, clean, and has everything you need for your stay from kitchen items to beach chairs, snorkel & fin sets and boogie boards. The ground floor unit has a beautiful outdoor patio for eating & lounging and offers nice walks on the grass area which overlooks the ocean. The sunsets were spectacular and are right in front of the unit. A short walk down a really cool, somewhat steep pathway, leads you to Hidewaways Beach. This was our favorite beach and snorkeling spot of all the places we went. The reef is expansive and we saw multiple turtles & several different fish species each time. It's not crowded at all due to its location and very limited parking. The town of Hanalei Bay is incredible and a short drive from the condo. There is a Foodland grocery store very close for all your needs. Keith was by far the best host I have ever rented from on any rental platform. He genuinely cares about his guests and knows everything about the island. Princeville is an amazing area and Keith's condo is the best!! We hope to be back soon for a much longer stay!!

This condo has amazing view. We saw beautiful sunset every evening when staying there. The unit is very spacious and clean with large bathrooms. Air conditioners worked great and quietly. The second bedroom provides kids books and board games that we really like. There’s a nene visit us every day. We took many pictures with him on the grass. The unit is very close to hideaway beach. The trail to the beach is right next to the tennis court. Trail is kind of steep but fun to go. My toddler was able to make it. The beach is awesome. So beautiful and calm. Also has a lot of shade. Great for kids to swim and also a nice place to snorkel. It became my favorite one in Kauai. The owner Keith gave many information about Kauai. So that we know the beaches, trails and restaurants. Check in and out was easy and quick. My family enjoyed staying here. We have stayed in many VRBO rooms and I would say so far this one is the best.
