The host and owner treated us so well during our visit. She even helped us out when we arrived too late to pick up our rental car. This place is fantastic and extremely clean. We had everything we needed and the kitchen was well stocked. Even had spices for cooking. The view over the cove was spectacular. I would highly recommend this cottage. ov cove

My husband, son and I planned a trip to Juneau for mid-August to visit our other son who was working as a pilot for Alaska Seaplanes this summer. We are from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and were hoping to find a place to stay that allowed us to see and do as much as possible in a short stay in Juneau and to allow us space to relax and catch up as a family. The Cove was perfect! From the beginning of the booking, and during our stay, our communications with Bernadine were prompt and friendly. We were fortunate to meet her and her husband and enjoyed hearing their tales of how they developed this property. The home was lovely, beautifully designed and decorated and comfortable. The kitchen was the best stocked I have ever seen in a VRBO property. We were within walking distance to the small cove nearby and the views from the deck were stunning. We enjoyed the hot tub very much with an outdoor shower! We were extremely lucky with sunshine for 5 days in a row, not common. But on the last day, even with misting, our time was well spent and comfortable. The distance to town, groceries and the airport was very close with our rental car. We did many tours and hikes with tour companies and on our own. Being from the UP, we love lush foliage, trees and cooler temps and lots of water. We felt right at home with Juneau and the glaciers and mountains made this trip even more special. We highly recommend the Cove and will plan on returning in the future.

We had everything we needed for a cozy, comfortable stay with easy accesss to great adventures. The hot tub was lovely after long days and we appreciated the robes and both the indoor and outdoor slippers.
Communication was easy and the host was friendly. We look forward to staying again.

The house and area exceeded our expectations. We were only there for a short 3 days, but had an amazing time. The house was stocked with everything you would need. We loved how the spice cabinet even had a jar labeled"chocolate" with several chocolate candies inside. Lots of small, little touches that made this an ideal base for our adventures. We recently stayed at the "Cove" for 8 nights and have to say, it is an ideal place for adventure in Juneau. The location is perfectly situated with Juneau to the south, Auke Bay near by, and all the hiking trails to the north. The home was clean, well decorated with all the amenities you need for a family. The hot tub is an excellent treat at the end of a long day, and the best part is the private outdoor shower! The owners were very responsive and accommodating. We got a short tour when we arrived and when the warm days arrived, they provided camp chairs for us for a day at the "beach." We hope to go back soon...thank you for a wonderful stay!

My husband Ron and I started planning his retirement trip over a year ago. He always wanted to go to Alaska and after watching several you tube videos on different parts of Alaska, we zeroed in on Juneau! We knew that we didn’t want to be on a cruise and just have 8 or so hours in Juneau, so he started looking in VRBO and found THE COVE!
Wow! What a great experience from start to finish. I connected with Bernadine right away and she was exceptionally wonderful to work with, even sending a package of things to do in Juneau and a map to our home in Florida, to help us plan our trip.
Upon arriving, she greeted us and made sure we had everything that we needed. The home was clean and beautiful and there wasn’t anything that she didn’t think of, to make our stay at The Cove complete. We stayed 7 days and the location was far enough away from downtown Juneau but yet close enough to enjoy as well.
We booked a whale watching tour with Jayleens Whale watching company upon Bernadine’s suggestion and it was amazing. The dock was near by as well. We also took a Seaplane Tour to Taku Is, which was spectacular!
All in all, we told our family that we would definitely recommend them staying at The Cove, bar none!

Lovely two story with a view. Private hot tub, calm color choices, stocked with every amenity, and delightful host. Nicest Vrbo rental yet in a spectacular landscape of mountains, ocean, eagles and whales. Wish we never had to leave! Thank you Bernadette!

Everything about the stay here was amazing! The house was so clean and comfortable, Bernadine makes sure you have everything you might need like extra towels, cosy blankets, and a well stocked kitchen. Bernadine checked in to make sure we had everything we might need - she's a great host! We enjoyed looking out on the ocean from the kitchen table and appreciated the peace and quiet of this location. We came for work and when we come back we will stay here again!

The house was as advertised. Burnie (the host) is very sweet and nice lady. She was very quick to response and accommodated all my needs. She also picked us up at the airport when we stuck due to late arrival. I recommend this house.

The Cove is just perfection doesn't begin to describe the beautiful space that awaits you! Inside and out, this property made the perfect home base for our 5 days in Juneau - we were able to cook, have a fire (inside and out), and enjoy coffee and wine on the deck overlooking the bay. Bernie has though of everything for your stay!

We stayed 4 nights at The Cove and would definitely come back. It was very clean, had everything we needed, was close to the airport and downtown, and perfect place to stay for Ironman Alaska. Bernadine was extremely nice and was only a text/call away, if needed. Highly recommend 10/10

Top notch experience. Beautiful house with exceptional attention to detail. Small touches such as technology (Wi-Fi, Apple TV, Alexa lights and speakers) and homey creature comforts (coffee selection!, mattress ,etc.) made us feel right at home. Not to mention the view. Also, hosts are extremely nice!

Alaska Firsts
This was my husbands and my first time visiting Alaska. We heard from friends that The Cove was a perfect get away and that Bernie was a terrific host.
From the beginning when we booked the stay here, Bernie was accommodating, understanding, and quite helpful when I needed to alter our reservations and alter them back when our trip plans changed.
The property feels private but still only 20 minutes from Downtown Juneau and I found it to be rather cozy. When we first walked in it was impeccably clean and even had relaxing music playing.
Everything is thought of when it comes to basic needs and even a little extra.
Overall, my husband and I would love to return in the future and The Cove will be the top of our list.

Best place ever!
We stayed at Bernadine’s lovely place for 5 nights. It was close to great hiking and Juneau. The view was beautiful, she had EVERYTHING a guest needed and more. The place was decorated with high quality furnishings and Bernadine was so welcoming as a host. She gave us great ideas of things to do and see and checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable. Book this place today and you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic property! Like staying at a 5 star hotel but better! Property has everything you need, soft towels, spices for cooking, Alexa, comfortable beds and so much more! Located right on the cove in a picturesque neighborhood. Property manager was fantastic and was available if we needed anything! Great Stay!

The Cove was cozy, inviting, and in a great location. Most important part of our trip to Juneau was the hostess Bernie. She was so welcoming and was available to us in real time. The place was spotless and the attention to details was very much appreciated. We enjoyed the hike in the neighborhood and our walk to the bay every morning. We loved our stay and look forward to our return to The Cove in Juneau.

Bernie and the property can not be beat! She beat all expectations from providing the coffee and spices to a home that is beautifully maintained and cozy. Watching bald eagles from the deck, a short hop to kayaks and paddling Auke bay, knowing guides that provided a ticket to our dreams of hiking to the glacier. Definitely worth a return trip.

Home Away from Home
We had such a wonderful time staying at The Cove! It was incredibly comfortable and inviting, and Bernie and Cary were so warm and welcoming! Returning each day after a hike or trip to Juneau literally felt like coming home, with comfortable beds, a lovely full kitchen and gorgeous view overlooking the bay. We can't wait to come back again one day!

A true gem in a beautiful setting
We spent 5 nights in this beautiful place. The setting and the unit are quiet, peaceful and surrounded by Alaska beauty. The pictures are absolutely accurate yet the place is even better than the pictures. We were lucky to have mostly reasonable weather and were able to sit out on our deck and have a glass of wine and view Auke Bay Cove. Our hostess Bernie was exceptional! Very attentive, friendly, always helpful and available if needed. Just the kind of hostess you would want. The property is nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed and high quality bedding, towels, kitchen necessities. Location is close enough to Auke Bay (the town), fishing charters, Mendenhall Glacier, Safeway, and downtown. This one is a keeper. It’s a first class place and we would love to stay here again.

Incredible!
Our experience at Fritz Cove was absolutely amazing!! B was an incredible host being very warm and welcoming while also maintaining privacy. We brought our daughter and she stopped by with extra goodies to ensure she would be entertained during her stay. The place was so beautiful! We often wanted to spend our nights at home because of the coziness and ambiance of the place. On our final day, B surprised us with her signature rhubarb bread which was loved by all. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Peaceful Retreat

B was a PHENOMENAL host! The property is gorgeous in a quiet and very nice part of Auke Bay Area of Juneau. The rental had everything you could ask for and then some! B went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great and it was! Highly recommend if you’re in Juneau!
