Alle restaurants, ontbijt, bistrot én tweesterren zijn uitmuntend. Zowel qua bediening als kwaliteit voldoen zij meer dan ruim aan de verwachtingen.
Het hotel is mooi gelegen, doch moeilijk te bereiken vanuit Porto centrum, reken 40 tot 60 minuten afhankelijk van het verkeer. Wij werden een gratis shuttle beloofd, per boot of per wagen. Dit werd ons drie dagen voor aankomst per spontane email vanwege het hotel nogmaals bevestigd. Bij aankomst informeerden wij naar deze shuttlemogelijkheden maar werd ons meegedeeld dat de shuttle met wagen niet meer reed en dat enkel de boot nog kon, doch enkel naar Porto en niet terug. Indien wij de receptie tien minuten op voorhand verwittigden zou de boot komen, zo vertelde ons de receptionist van dienst. Toen wij de volgende dag de bootshuttle bestelden kregen wij te horen dat de laatste twee uur geleden vertrokken was. Er bleek dus maar 4 keer per dag een boot naar Porto te varen op vastgelegde uren, iets wat ons op voorhand had mogen gemeld worden!!!
Wij hebben dit met evenveel woorden gemeld maar er is hier op geen enkele wijze gereageerd door het hotel.
Er zijn 5-sterren hotels in Porto die hun beloftes wel nakomen, jammer genoeg niet dit hotel.
Dat er onaangekondigde lawaaierige bouwwerken in de tuin naast het zwembad plaatsvonden bleek voor het hotel ook een normale zaak.

Excelente para uma escapadinha relaxante de fim de semana. Destaco em especial o bar e o spa (não podendo destacar o restaurante porque não usufrui, mas certamente também nota 10), com simpatia e profissionalismo do staff (em especial ao David que acompanhou desde a reserva ao check in), que condizem com a qualidade do hotel!
Toda a atenção e detalhe que colocam nos pedidos especiais.
O hotel tem estacionamento privado e uma área envolvente gigante para passear e desfrutar.

Hotel fantástico para uma estadia a dois; estéticamente apelativo, bem decorado, espaço exterior lindíssimo, quarto confortável. Vista extraordinária para o Douro. Tranquilidade, ambiente calmo apesar de proximidade das áreas de interesse de Porto/Gaia. Funcionários simpáticos, disponíveis, competentes e profissionais. Excelente pequeno-almoço.
Será certamente uma (grande) vantagem para outros hóspedes, mas efectivamente não é a opção ideal para famílias: restaurante Vinha não aceita crianças com menos de 8 anos, o spa/piscina interior não permite crianças com menos de 6 anos o que para um pai de um filho de 5 anos acabou por condicionar totalmente a experiência. De referir, em defesa do hotel, que ambas as situações estão enunciadas no site do mesmo mas para quem, como eu, não tem por hábito verificar todas as condições da reserva de forma exaustiva, pode deparar-se com uma surpresa desagradável. Acesso ao hotel péssimo mas nada que o o hotel possa resolver por si só.

There was a smoke incident with the lobby fire place; breakfast room was not open at 8am (took 20m more); dinner was okay but not exceptional for the price; a little incident happened at the spa.

Quarto lindíssimo e super confortável, SPA maravihoso, vista para o rio Douro espetacular, ambiente super sossegado, funcionários simpáticos e atenciosos.
Reservei como surpresa para o meu marido que fazia anos e ele adorou, assim como eu pois correu tudo lindamente ☺️

Hotel muito agradável, vista linda do Rio Douro, gostamos muito e em especial por ser um hotel distante da cidade e mais próximo da natureza.
De início nos colocaram em um quarto de acessibilidade e ao tomar banho o banheiro molhava todo. Pedimos para mudar e no 2º dia foi feito a mudança.

Boat shuttle to Porto
Airco is switched off during the night in our en our friends room. So nights were warm.
No drinks allowed at the pool area so outdoor possibilities are a bit poor though the hotel and its garden might enable alot of possibilities

I booked a room which was supposed to have a river view and unfortunately the room was facing a roof. Complained about the lack of the river view and we were taken to a different room which had a river view but it was more of a Down grade. As this room is actually a loft and connected to another room. As the hotel was not fully booked during our stay I am sure we could have been given a much better room. The reason I paid for the river view was how the rooms were being advertised online. I could have just paid for a simple deluxe room.

The property is new, super beautiful. If you have a car it’s fifteen min to anywhere, and means you can enjoy the quiet while not being in the hustle and bustle of Porto. The decor is fabulous.
Be mindful that the hotel is a bit far from amenities so a car would be great, although the hotel provides a boat shuttle to the center

The staffs are like “Black Comedy”.
It supposed to be 5 star hotel.
Staffs seems very restless and staff kept forgetting many things. That happens if Staffs are exhausted of working . Not well trained to be at 5 star.
Thats why I descried as Black comedy.

The breakfast was very nice and the location of the hotel was great. It was quiet and pleasant with beautiful gardens.
The Spa was also top class and the indoor pool was great!
Staff were very nice and always able to help and flexible to accommodate our needs.
There were little things I was surprised for a hotel of this class:
- Foot mat was missing from the shower in the first night. Also bath towel for our child was missing in the first night.
- The telephone kept showing a light for messages for missed calls we never received and to turn this off you needed a password and this meant you always had to call a member of staff to turn it off. Quite a pain for such a little thing.
- The service in the restaurant on the first night was quite slow. Even just to wait to sit down took a few minutes. It looked like they were understaffed. This was for the brasserie. The Vinha restaurant had great service.
- The sinks in the bathroom have the taps quite high up from the bowl, so if you open the tap full pressure it splashes water on you. This is a typical example of fancy design over comfort and practicality.
