Breakfast not many options, hot food only egg and sausage. Location is on the top of the hill. Hardly can get Wi-Fi signal, the bathroom very old.

everything was good, except for the rudeness of the staff and a lack of parking administration. We were left begging for parking for two days.
The administrative staff must learn to be friendly with people from different ethnicities.

It's palatial space and cleanliness. Super staff and amazing facilities.
Zero. All was great!

The beds and lounge chairs were super comfy; the pool was clean and nice
Not a lot of variety of food for breakfast; only black coffee and cappuccino for free

Hotel was great, room was very spacious and clean. Swimming pool is big and since we were there in December, it was well-heated and the water was warm.
I didn’t like the breakfast. Food was not tasty and there were just a couple of options to choose from. The quality of beakfast does not match the luxury of the hotel.

Amazing location, next to the main walking area but still away from all the noise, big and clean rooms, friendly staff
the restaurant is too small - there is only one restaurant for a number of hotel buildings on the territory. therefore queues to get a table, coffee, everything. Breakfast too modest for the price of the room

Complex of hotels with luxurious historical architecture and interiors. Big and warm rooms with balconies and splendid views. Good breakfast. Large SPA area. Despite nice uphill location well connected with city center by elevator. Quiet surroundings with nice hiking areas.
A la carte dinner at lounge bar area could be better (it was not bad, just very average).

The hotel is made up of 6 buildings, which are all interconnected via an underground tunnel. It can be adventurous but also a bit scary when you are walking alone. I would definitely not recommend people with a roll chair to go through the underground tunnel because it has a few stairs. If you go to the 'Hotel Bristol' Building, take the elevator to ground floor, and you are pretty much in the center (1 min walking distance away). Otherwise, you have to walk around the hotel and it will take you around 15 min to get into the centre.
The staff at the swimming pool was nice.
The staff (receptionist, cleaner and security guard) were not as helpful and there have been times were they were rude.
The first day I arrived, I found mould in the bathroom and water puddles on the shower floor. The cleaner came by with a towel. She soaked the water and drained it in the toilet, which made me feel uncomfortable as this is the seat I'd be sitting later on (the toilet was not cleaned after). I told her that there is mould, but the cleaner said she can't do anything it can't be cleaned and she was clearly mad. After a lot of discussion with the receptionist, I was given an upgrade.
The security guard was supposed to help me carry my belongings to the new room, as I had a luggage, a bag pack, an extra blanket and 2x bath ropes. All of this they wanted me to carry in one time to the new room. I had put my bag pack on my luggage so it would be easy to push. The security guard took my luggage off my hands and asked me to carry the blanket and the 2 bath ropes myself. I asked if he can carry it and I'll push my luggage, and he just left the room to bring me to the new room. So my arms were full with 3x big items, and I was escorted through the corridors, which really made me feel like an employee instead of a guest.
In my new room, there was two patches of mould instead of a whole strip so I just let it slide, as I was already so tired. I saw the curtains were a bit dirty (like the other room), and there was a dead spider smeared along the walls that has never been cleaned and a yellow patch on my bed that I do not wish to know what it is.

The villa is really nice and the other buildings and grounds are from another era. My corner room was huge and well furnished with a nice sitting area. The views from all windows were stunning. All windows could open in multiple ways. Walk-in closet wth a safe. Huge bathtub. Very nice heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath. The jacuzzi could have been a bit warmer for my liking, but it was pleasant. The Finnish sauna lacked a water bucket, but the Turkish bath was very nice and had plenty of heat and steam. The breakfast buffet was fine, but when there are alot of guests with a hoarding mentality, some items like fresh fruit disappear quickly.
A Finnish sauna requires a water bucket and a ladle for throwing water on the rocks to produce steam, without those, it is not a Finnish sauna, but rather an unpleasant dry hot room. Americans may be okay with that, but European hoteliers should know better!
The spa Jacuzzi temperature should be checked.
The wifi was not good and I often had to use my cellular data plan. The wifi got unresponsive during peak times, so I think it is a bandwidth issue.

architecture and location, plus the wellness area was really nice too

A superb complex of several buildings interconnected by tunnels, with bathrobe access to treatments and the spa, right next to the centre. Breakfast is delicious, the surroundings are great:) Quiet and lovely.
The spa area is in need of renovation, but everything is clean and lovely. After leaving the hiking trails, it's great to relax in the saunas and jacuzzi

The facilities such as swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool were great and never to busy at least during my stay. The whirlpool was very good indeed with a strong massage force at some parts. The location and setting was perfect, nice buildings and gardens, very relaxing. The breakfast was also fantastic with plenty options. The bed in double room was massive and the ensuite bathroom with shower and large bath also great.
I couldn't fault the hotel however some staff couldn't speak English but I think most guests are from other regions so perhaps hasn't been essential for them. I did have one small issue at the end of my trip but the forthcoming new owner was about and resolved the situation immediately even offering a free weekend in future. I believe he is looking to employ more English speaking staff also. Overall, despite some language barriers they tried their best and were mostly very helpful and friendly.

The Palace and the Villas (4) are located on a huge, beautiful property. They are all connected underground, as one villa is on a hill, while the other is in the valley. It is like a labirint, it is fun to find your way to the city center, or to the main palace building :). One villa has the spa, the palace has the bar and the restaurant. The entire place is gorgeous! The breakfast was excellent for me, my husband missed the sweet pastries.
Our room was more like a small apartment, very elegant and huge! An enormous room with living area, plus separate bathroom and separate hall and a restroom. Very spacious! :) The beds were comfy and the entire place is very clean.
The city centre is very close (if you can find the easy reach points from the property! :) don't worry you can easily find the right elevator and corridor after a while :))). And, of course, the city is wonderful, a must see place on Earth.
The staff does not really speak English. At all. Only the bartender, which was a relief. I understand that the guests are mostly from Germany and Russia, but I believe that English is a basic language in this world. The receptionists especially should speak at least basic English, but their English was extremely poor and it was hard to understand each other. We saw that other guests (non-English speakers) were informed briefly about the property and the facilities and with a smile, while we finished in 5 minutes and tried to get information piece by piece and with not a very welcoming attitude. The Spa guy tried to show us the Spa, he was very helpful, but he did not speak a word in English so we didn't get to know how the Spa works...

Staff are lovely, Views are stunning plus the Facilities are brilliant. Good breakfast and cool bar.
Swimming pool is big with good whirlpool.
Nice and quite of an evening.
I have stayed in Karlvory Vary a few times and we really rate this hotel and will definitely book again for our next trip.
Nothing the hotel was great, I would say after a few drinks in town the hill to hotel is steep but it's worth it.

The SPA was amazing, rooms are very good, breakfast was average
Tha breakfast was not rich, the lower hotel entrance was closed

thai massage
No parking spaces, nearest car park 1.2 km. We sat down in the restaurant at 20.15 only to be told at 20.30 on a Friday that the kitchen is closed after 20.30. Then at 21.00 the bar ran out of beer, disastrous.

Small bad. Value for money.

I really liked the building complex - with a main reception in Bristol Palace, the other villas give you a feeling of complete privacy. My place called Kralovska villa was super nice, super clean, comfy, very spaceous and had a lot of storage (which I used for clothes), which was also super helpful. The bathroom with a bathtub was a nice bonus. The surroundings of the villas look also great. And finally, with the elevator getting you to the tunnels between all villas - you can quickly move to the gym and pool area - my favourite part of the stay.
It's a pity that the rooms lack minibar and the tea and coffee maker - usually, it's comfortable and helpful. Also, the room cards often lose contact when they are exposed too closely to mobile or bluetooth devices, so you have to go to the reception to get a new one. Since no one from the reception had told me, it happened to me twice before I got instructions to separate the card and the phone.

Everything about this stay was great. The room was fantastic and very quiet and comfortable, highly recommended. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Excellent all round and a good night's sleep!!
The check-in process was antiquated but harmless enough. The receptionist was a little unclear with her explanations of exactly where our room was and so caused unnecessary stress.

I was just surprised by the looks of the place. It was like a palace literally and then all the facilities inside, sauna, pool etc. I just didnt expect to be that good.
Well place is quite big, it is entire complex, so you can get lost easily. And yeah, not all of the personnel is fluently English speaking but that wasnt an issue. Breakfast was better than i expected but especially the pool and the sauna, i didnt expect them to be that good.

This is another building of the Bristol Group. The Reception staffs are friendly. Good breakfast buffet.
TV not functioning. Room not soundproof

We did not get much guidance, we had to find out ourselves how it works.

Extrem clean, view is out of this world.
Always showed to an side or corner table, with no view, regardless how full. If you don’t speak One of the local languages you will be treated like second class, and you will see it in their body language and facial gestures.

Very very nice hotel - amazing room
