Really nice interior of the building and rooms, clean, nice pool and lounging area around the pool.

Location was a bit secluded, however, only 10min walk from centre.

Difficult to find. Not in an attractive area. Quite a walk from harbour, bars and restaurants.

I've been to Croatia every year for the past ten years and I was used to work in tourism industry so in terms of flat and hotel choice, I'm particularly sophiticated. I won't recommend Villa Orhideja at all. Some reasons are related to the Villas structure itself, others are more linked with the current economic crisis I guess. The building is a kind of a concrete low rent housing on top of the Cres hill, at 17 mn on foot from the main port. The problem is not that you have to walk through cobble streets on a very steep slop to get to the hotel on foot, it is that 10 mn before arriving, you cross wasteland with building materials in construction scattered on the ground all around the Villas. So please, look at google earth first, what I didn't do, and look at the environment before making your choice. Be carreful too : big supermarket is 20mn walk so when it is 30 degrees from 10am or that you have walked 18 or 20 km during the day, shopping become a challenge. Absolutely no soundproofing. The first two nights, neighbours below with her stilletos until 4am the whole night. Balcony are open and connected to rooms on the same level. You just have to go on the balconny and your enter the adjoining flat by the main bow window. unbelievable. We had never saw that before. In terms of security, we may wonder indeed if it has been really done by the book. Photos on booking are top. Our decision was based on them. Like everybody, we told that it was a nice well designed and very comfy building with its swimming pool which is really nice for sure. But price is absolutely insane. And it didn't worth it for sure. So i suspect that due to economic crisis and the fact that the building has opened during covid season, they need to make it profitable as quick as they can but the whole experience has been really disappointing indeed. You will be surprised by the asbence of greeness around the villas, though the land next to the villas are agricultural.

Great location, only 10 minutes walk from the city center and from the beach. There are not many houses or traffic nearby which gives you a quiet stay. Breakfast was ok, the room was nice and luxury equipped. Extra bonus to the great shower place and cleanliness of the room. The parking space is also a nice thing to have and although the villa was fully booked there was enough space for everybody.

The room was too close to the reception so we heard everything happening in the reception which was loud from time to time. Also, the room has direct access to the pool area - which is causing a lack of privacy as well as loud guests enjoying the pool. Last morning one family was having breakfast literally in front of the balcony of our room so it was a feeling like they were in our room. Although luxury equipped there is a lack of details in the interior which gives a cold feeling, too much hotel style... Overall too expensive for the final product.

We spent 11 wonderful days in a quiet place 10 minutes from the turquoise coves of the city. Our hosts were very helpful and responsive to our requests. Breakfast was served with fresh fruits and delicious bread. Everything was new and very well kept. We had access to the laundry and could use the common areas at our convenience.

Its a minor matter but the art work on the walls didn't really match the aesthetic of the place which is sleek, muted and modern.
