Excellent stay!
I dont know why there are so many unsatisfying comments bellow. I stayed in the room with a small kitchen right in front of the pool. The kitchen has what you needed. They were also salt, pepper and oil. The room in generally perfectly big. There is an air condition that’s works, not the best, but it keeps you cold ish at night, and it’s very quit. The room was clean, a lot of towels that you can use. There is plenty of hot water. The king size bed is REALLY good, the same goes with the pillows. I sleeped well and I usually don’t do that. There was plenty of closet space. The place looks amazing and is so cute! Yes maybe some of the furniture on the roof needs to be replaced but you don’t spend that much time up there anyway. But the view is spectacular! Valerie was so nice and helpful! Se let me use the room until I need to leave because there was no one checking in that day. There is a bike that you can rent. In total lovely stay! There is about 3-4 km to the nearest supermarket but that just a short bicycle away! I think it was nice to stay between vaitape and matira then you can see both things. I would defiantly stay here again.
The only thing is the birds outside who make a little noise in the morning, but they are cute! And earplugs works perfectly!

The location was good. They offered us bicycles for free
The wifi is so bad. Our room wasn’t cleaned every day.

Beautiful room and fantastic lanai view. Flavie was great and would happily stay there again.

The location is stunning overlooking the lagoon and the volcano. The sunsets are magical!
It’s a beautiful property with lots of charm, my daughter called it the “Encanto” house from the movie. We would recommend this place to all our friends and family.

Being appreciative of aesthetics and design I quite enjoyed the curation of tasteful furniture and art pieces. Leyla and Justine who worked there were both kind, I felt like they did everything they could within their authority to help us be happy.
I was asked to write a list of all the broken or missing things to have them fixed/replaced (perhaps if the apartment had pen and paper I would have done this) but to be honest I didn’t want to spend precious family holiday time during our long awaited visit to Bora Bora advising how they need to fix their guest accommodation service. Instead my family and I departed the property 3 nights earlier than planned despite paying for them. It was a relief to leave and our relaxation started the second we reached our clean safe contained beach bungalow down the road. It honestly feels as though this place has changed hands at some
point or was dormant during covid and there has been inadequate maintenance - broken stuff everywhere - sun loungers, rotten decking boards, floor tiles missing, broken glass pane on rooftop under foot, the large heavy sculpture in our apartment was unstable so we moved chairs in front to safeguard our 3 yo. The privacy blind fixtures were broken so the entire apartment was open to the outside - the host assured us the island had zero crime but I didn’t rest easy knowing someone could hop in very easily during the night. The children’s room was very seperate to the parents room with an interconnecting door into it. The living area, kitchen, dining and children’s room are essentially open to the air/outside (no doors) so mosquitos, centipedes and geckos galore in all those areas. I think if I had realised this I would have preferred the camping motu for my family then at least we would have packed accordingly. We received no cleaning in the 3 days we were there nor were there any dishcloths, brooms or brushes to DIY. The kitchen and cooking utensils are very basic. The sink overflow wasn’t plumbed so each time you washed up water flooded the cupboard below where your crockery was stored. In addition the main drain from sink had no fixing between u bend and it’s straight piece of pipe so we flooded kitchen twice when pipe popped out.

Great view, and Justine was super knowledgeable and helpful. We really enjoyed the view and everything Justine offered us for assistance it was amazing.
Internet was super slow, almost unusable and the water pressure was also very low but may have been our definition of good water pressure for the shower and sinks.

Lovely spot - great ambience
A little removed from beach and town-

The view from the terrace was amazing and I enjoyed my morning coffee there. Location: between the beach (30mins walk) and town centre (50mins walk). You can rent a bike at the property. Very welcoming and helpfull staff.
The accomodation is in need of renovation (especially the bathroom). Due to the location on the greener side of the island you will have crawling bugs and creatures in your room at all times. A lot of the windows have a mosquito net instead of glass so it can get noisy from outside if there are other guests staying at the property)

we loved the villa and we felt in love of its architecture, atmosphere and vibes. the views are awesome, I personally could spend my day on the terrace looking at it, surrounded by the bougainvilleas and the Mediterranean Yrondi potteries. The room was full of Yrondi paints and it gives a personal touch.
Justine was perfect and always available to help us. Thank you!
everything was great, but a little upgrade on the bathroom would be great.

It is an artists house. You can feel that into the last details. Our room had a spacious veranda with a view towards the central mountain. Its a bit outside the central area around the port, but you can get there easily by taxi. You can rent a bycicle on venue to get around to the beaches.
Nothing to hope for ...

Justine was an outstanding host who took care of our every question and need while we were here, all with charm and a sense of humour. The pictures do not do the place justice; Well worth the money for the seaview apartment. A bit far from town (40 minute walk) but restaurants are willing to pick you up, hitch hitching was easy, and scooter rentals reasonable. Got to meet the artist himself who still lives in the top suite!
Out of the way for walking to grocery stores. Could be noisy at times because the suites are connected by stone terraces and can echo, but never too bad. Got breakfast delivered the first day for convenience from the restaurant down the hill, but wouldn't have done it again. But no real complaints as we would be happy to stay again.

situated high enough for a gorgeous view in a great location
I don’t mind that it is rustic, but the toilet did not flush properly, using the toaster blew fuses, and the room was a bit shabby overall

Staff were so friendly and helpful! Roberta & Justine could not do enough for us! They were proper hosts. Everything from booking taxis and transfers, meals at the best restaurants & hooking us up with awesome excursions. Justine even managed to get us a helicopter tour with just two hrs notice. ( normally you book these days in advance, but it was a last minute surprise). The villa itself is aesthetically beautiful, a curious place with art, sculptures & all manner of quirky features in every corner. Vines & fig trees adorn a central courtyard with a lovely little plunge pool in the centre, perfect for cooling off. The views from the villa are absolutely spectacular, and the location couldn't be better, roughly halfway way between the town of Vaitape and the famous Matira beach.
Ok so the not so great bits, or, more to manage expectations. The Villa, while beautiful, is in a wild and tropical climate. If you are expecting a prestine, hygenically perfect property, this is not that. It was adequate for our needs but fell well below our comfort level. For example, the bed clothes and towels were only changed after three days and at that we had to ask.
There were a lot of creatures sharing our space with us. Mosquitos, ants, midgets and cock roaches all made an appearance which made our stay there a little uncomfortable but we just bought bug spray and ploughed on. The bed was some form of homemade creation which looked really cool but was not comfortable. So much so that my wife opted to sleep on the sofa one of the nights. Not looking to pick holes but just so people are aware. It didnt put us off but it wouldn't suit a couple seeking luxury and comfort. Its basic self catering accomodation.

A beautifully and peaceful stay in Bora Bora! Everything was exceptional, I wish we stayed longer! Check in was seamless, and we were able to get recommendations and help booking excursions all over the island. We rented a car for a day and there was ample parking, too. We especially loved how there are only a few rooms, so it really makes for a cozy, individual experience. All around, lovely!

Helpfulness of the property manager and staff.

Laura and the team gave outstanding service and took such good care of us. I've been to BoraBora many of times and never rated it, because of their amazing hospitality and good English skills (don't speak French) they were able to book us in tours and dinners and help us book the best things to do and places to eat.

The villa was really beautiful and unique, and almost worth visiting just on its own. We booked the Family Room with Mountain View and we had an amazing view from our dining table.
Doing laundry required giving the staff your clothes, and they would only do laundry from 9-11 am. Afterwards, you get handed back your clothes along with a clothesline so that you can dry them. It's not practical to do this if you have tours or such booked in the mornings.

felt that it needed some updates everywhere on the property. a bit expensive for the state of the property in comparison to other properties on the island.

Breakfast was very good & delivered by a very pleasant lady. The little pool in the courtyard was refreshing, courtyard & villa grounds were very tranquil. Room was adequate.
Room should not be described as a mountain view room. ‘Partial mountain view’ is more accurate. The one small window in our room had a large palm tree, I was told is on neighbouring property, a few metres in front of it which greatly obscured the view. I only chose this property because of the promise of a mountain view room. Very disappointing. If a mountain view is important, when considering this property, make sure to specify not this room.

The Villa is unique in its design and the interesting artworks and sculptures wherever you look.
The views of the bays were lovely and there are numerous places to sit to take advantage of the sun or shade or to just relax.
The pool is not large or deep, but is lovely for cooling off and relaxing.
Laura, the manager, is fabulous. Friendly and helpful and very professional.
As it is is a very open design it would have been re assuring if the beautiful gates were shut at night.
Even though every room has its own private area people can still wonder through those areas from outside.
The building seems to have been neglected in some areas, in particular the roof area above our balcony was rattling in the breeze, it was repaired instantly when we mentioned it, but looked like it would just keep pulling out of the timbers. We had to pay for coffee pods. For the price we'd have expected at least a few each day included in the price, the same with a few teas.

Amazing place. Not the cheapest, but definitely worthy. Laura was very friendly and happy to help with anything.

We like the the architecture of the Villa and the stunning views. Laura was very helpful in providing info on local activities, rentals and more.
We had the smallest room,no window and very noisy with the next door neighboors

Very unique property! Really cool art fixtures. Amazing views from the terrace. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Fairly close to main town.
Decently situated, though not walkable to any points of interest. Be prepared to be close to local fauna (bugs) - though this is like every guest house I’ve stayed in a tropical region, so hardly an issue as long as you’re expecting it, IMO.

I would come back whenever possible! The staff was helpful, it is very clean, location is good, the villa is real masterpiece and jewel itself.

Mediterranean stye villa filled with art, beautiful place to relax on the main island Bora Bora. Laura was a fantastic host. Great view, each room/apartment has its own balcony.
Payment in cash only, it was challenging sometimes to find functioning ATMs. I assume this was just temporary...

It’s everything as described. I love the style of the property! Beds very comfortable, wifi, air con all good. Absolutely gorgeous view of the mountain and literally a few minutes to Vaitape or Matira beach by car. Having a kitchenette in our apartment has been wonderful especially travelling with 2 children. Laura has been incredible with organising taxi, car hire, & excursion for us. If we are ever in the fortunate position to travel to Bora Bora again we would definitely stay here again.
My only tiny problem is a lack of hot water. In usual circumstances in the tropics this is never a problem but when we got caught out in torrential down pour we were cold when we got back and wanted a warm shower. This really is my only negative and it’s not even a negative!!!
3.0 / 5.0
The villa is exactly as it looks in the photos. Loved the colours and the view of the mountain. Staff were great and helped to organize taxis etc., and Laura was kind enough to sort out breakfast on short notice.
No door between the shower / sink and the rest of the room... not sure if it was intentional but would have been useful. if you're not a couple, it could be a bit awkward.
Bit too much noise at night from the a/c and the fridge - caused trouble sleeping.
Wifi extreeeeeeeeeeemely weak.
The location is a bit difficult to work with. If you are only on excursions and going to restaurants the whole time you are here, you'll probably be ok since you can get picked up. But if you want to do anything yourself, like go to town or to another beach or something, you'll need a car. There are bicycles for rent, but they are too difficult to ride and uncomfortable (ow my knee!).

The Yrondi Hotel is definitely a one of a kind. It’s an artist’s Villa turned hotel perched at the top of a hill overlooking the famous Bora Bora cliffs and ocean. Beds are comfortable, has AC and the manager is exceptional.
Nothing. Place was great.
