The Hotel is directly on a long beach in the South of Perhentian Besar, good to walk and relax. Otherwise not much to do here. The restaurant has good food and is not expensive, but: no fish BBQ in the evening and no music to chill. The staff is very nice and helpful.

The non-AC rooms are in the back, not on the waterfront and get very loud at the weekend. The AC-bungalows are in the front and more quiet and private. Please be aware that you will NOT have hot shower in the non-AC rooms, only cold water! Breakfast is included but it is very Asian, fried rice, fried noodles, fried fish, toast bread and sometimes fruit. Flora Bay is not very good for snorkeling, the best snorkeling locations on Perhentian Besar are in the North and in the West (between the 2 islands). There are 2 adventurous jungle treks to go to KK Bay (West) and Perhentian Island Resort (North), but the path is not very clear as many trees has fallen down and these treks have barely been used during the past 2 years due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

This hotel is located in a big and quiet bay in the South of Perhentian Besar. The beach is very long and good for walking, but unfortunately you can't see the sunset nor the sunrise from this beach. You can snorkel from the beach, there are beautiful corals just a few meters off the beach (before Shark Point), but there are many boats around during the day, so it is not advisable to exit the markings. Flora Bay has a own small jetty, so when you arrive by boat from Kuala Besut or Perhentian Kecil, you don't have to walk far with your heavy luggage, just a few steps to the reception.

Flora Bay works mainly with Malaysian tourists, as most of the Hotels in this bay, that means: it gets very packed and noisy at the weekend, with AC room with fan, which is NOT a private bungalow on the beach,, and at the weekend (Friday and Saturday), I couldn't sleep because of a screaming baby in the next room, so I decided to move to another hotel for one night. On Sunday, when I came back, almost everybody was gone and I had a quiet room again. The non-AC rooms have only COLD WATER. The food at the restaurant is ok, but they don't have fish-BBQ in the evening. No music at the restaurant, only muslim music on Friday.

Cleanliness,I think the staff haven’t change bed sheets and pillow case.Coz i can smell sweat maybe from previous customer.At night, a lot mosquitoes.Previous booking properly said they’re fully book,but when Im checking a lot empty room specially room I requested near to the beach.I think this is not right strategy if property wanted to get a money from customers buy selling the expensive room.They keep the room for the agent selling the packages.Punctuality of bot transfer also is late.Breakfast maybe can improve due i saw ants in orange juice.

The staff are amazing, especially the young waiters and the head lady on reception. The food in the restaurant is great. The atmosphere is fun. We loved the resort and location so much, we extended our stay an extra 5 nights.

The rooms are more expensive and basic on the Perhentian Islands, so you are getting alot less for your money. We upgraded our room and we were very happy.
