This location is a gem. The owners were super genuinely friendly. The staff was amazing. They will help you with any needs you have. My brother and I booked only one night at this hotel because we had another reservation with another hotel. I wish kibayo had availability. I would have canceled the other location.

Everything no complaints

Kibayo is a little haven, tucked away down a quiet road but close to the restaurants and beaches of lively Cabarete. Every detail, from the gorgeous gardens that extend down to the river, the grass-thatched bar, the delicious breakfasts and the general ambience, gives the impression that that peace, tranquility and excellent service lie at the heart of the operation. We were upgraded to the 'Soul Searcher` room which was charming - simple and calming with a fabulous wrap-around balcony, which meant lots of light and wonderful sunrise views. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful which added to the pleasure of our stay here.

The vibe is something else there and I believe this is thanks to the well designed house and bedrooms and how the garden is displayed bit as well all the details here and there all in harmony. I find that the owners (and designers of that gem) found the right balance between eco-friendly and confort, removing things that don’t bring much value to offer a faire price. The moment we arrived in the property and then in our bedroom, we felt relaxed and decided to extend our reservation. Thanks to the adorable staff too !

We pretty much loved everything but if we have to say something: (1) breakfast can be small for some of us and we sometimes doubled it as we usually take a brunch on vacation (we appreciate the late breakfast hours though, until 12), (2) the toilets equipment could be of a higher quality even though it functioned perfectly.

Worth renting a scooter or car for your time here, otherwise you will rely on taxis a lot. Possible to get one dropped off for your arrival if you ask.

Unbelievable experience from start to end. I stayed here for 3 weeks. This is a great place and a great find everything is new, this place just opened in December 2021. Absolutely everything was perfect for my stay.

Unfortunately they are still undergoing some changes they changed the breakfast menu options right in the middle of my stay which was very disappointing. They have also elected to close their dormitory that contained 6 beds. Therefore I would not stay at this location on my next trip to Cabarete But if you are a couple and don't mind the price it is a great place with beautiful nature. Very relaxing stay. Not that close to the beach approx. 15 min walk is not too bad.

Delicious breakfast and nice staff, it's a peaceful place. I recommend having a vehicle because the beach is like 10 minutes by car.

It is a little heaven in Cabarete. Peaceful where you can relax and find some inner peace.

Staff and amazing garden. The place is really beautiful and beds are cleaned every day. Also the included breakfast is delicious and healthy. The place is also brand new. They also have kayaks and you can kayak quite a bit straight away from the garden. They also have security and the place felt very safe.

I felt like drinks and guided yoga were a bit pricy. When me and the people from my dorm wanted to cool down our hot room at around 6pm we were asked to not do that in a friendly yet almost blaming matter. As a guest I felt they were money focussed and that is their right of course. It just made me feel the way the place is not what it proports to be (happy warm family, pleasant almost hippy-like retreat).

Best place I stayed in all of the DR. I came for 3 nights but ended up staying 7. Can't recommend enough!

kibayo has everything, comfortable beds, AC, great pool, bar, amazing staff, delicious breakfasts, even comfy towels. there is such a good vibe and always something going on. the staff made my stay, thanks cena, thanell and Maria.

it’s a little out of town but easy to reach in a taxi or moto
