This house exceeded our expectations and we used every bit of everything this house has to offer. There’s more than what’s listed! Like duck, turtle food, every kitchen appliance imaginable, all the toiletries and dish/laundry.

This house was perfect for 8 of us, the property is beautiful & the pool & lake are so much fun. We loved paddle boarding and fishing right off the dock. The house has everything plus more, we will definitely book again!

The house was set up so well with complimentary drinks, snacks and even some extra toiletries. The kids loved fishing off the dock and relaxing in the hot tub. The only downside was the traffic noise/view of the highway a few doors down. We loved it!

We recently spent Father's Day Weekend at The Retreat House on Lake Conroe. This place is AMAZING. I've rented dozens of houses on VRBO and this one tops the charts. The exterior of the house has a gorgeous pool & hot tub, a dock & boat slip (perfect for your boat), exquisite landscaping, outdoor TV, grill, refrigerator, pool toys, speakers, fishing poles...I could go on and on. The interior of the house is EVEN BETTER. The kitchen is FULLY stocked, spices, gadgets, ziplocs, treats, keurig, etc. The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable. Every room has a TV with working apps. There's a pool table & air hockey table for hours of fun. This house felt exactly like home. If you are fortunate enough to find an opening, BOOK IT!!! We can't thank you enough, Andrea & Jason for hosting us this weekend. We can't wait to come back!!!!

The house was exactly as pictured. Beautiful from the inside and out. The self care packages that were left in the restrooms was such a thoughtful idea. Even the snacks and drinks were greatly appreciated. Made us feel right at home and welcomed. The kids enjoyed the pool everyday and the adults enjoyed fishing right off the backyard dock. Will definitely recommend this home to family and friends. Thank you for having us. Until next time!

Me and my (large) family staying here for spring break and it was so much fun . I love the area - this part i of the lake was nice and calm. Perfect for kayaking. The host was extremely responsive and the house is absolutely stunning. My boys got a little wild so i don't know what kind of reveiw I'm going to get, but on this end our stay was perfect!

My wife and two teenage daughters stay a week here and it was fantastic. A beautiful home in a part of Texas. The communication with the owners was so easy and they were extremely accommodating. Can’t recommend it enough.

Family stay at this wonderful home. Incredible amenities. Outside: you have the pool, the lake ( located in a portion of the lake that feels private) the kayak , fishing poles, paddle boards, and owner provide turtle and duck food so that is fun to feed the wildlife conveniently at the dock while you drink your morning coffee. A propane grill outside in the shade of the porch, and comfy seating in and out of the sun.
Inside: Air hockey, pool table, wonderful king sized beds in each bedroom, beautifully decorated house and just incase you forgot something.. owner provides a few essentials in the toiletry department and snacks in the kitchen. I’ve never seen that at other rentals.. just a really nice touch.
Neighborhood: we took a walk around the neighborhood. Super cute and very quiet. We had a wonderful time

The house has everything you need and more!! Plenty of fun to be had by all ages. Quiet location with minimal boat traffic allowed our little ones to paddle board and canoe. Pool was a perfect size and very refreshing. Host was very quick with responses.

The house is clean, updated and one of the best I’ve stayed with many nice amenities. The toddler/baby gear is a big bonus. The pool, spa and patio are awesome!
The location is average - while lakefront on the canal the house next door is in poor shape and there is quite a bit of road noise from 105. We booked for the holiday weekend so price was at a premium but overall we recommend the property.

The property is beautiful. The home is clean and spacious. The owners did a fantastic job with everything from decorating, to comfort and went the extra mile with special touches that really made our family feel welcome. We all enjoyed the hot tub and pool area and we loved fishing in the lake. We caught several fish right from the dock. We also enjoyed a local fishing charter and brought home enough fish to fry for a party. We loved our time at Lake Conroe and would definitely stay at the retreat again when visiting Texas! One of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed in!

Exceptional service from the property owners. House had so many nice touches and the owners go out of their way to make you feel at home. Fridge stocked with drinks, welcome basket, beach towels, bathroom amenities like toothpaste, advil, etc. Really top notch. multiple tvs, great for college game day.

We are a group of 3 adults and 5 children. We were looking for a last minute get away before school starts and we got lucky this property was available! We had such a wonderful stay. The house was absolutely lovely and far exceeded our expectations. Beautiful attention to detail throughout the home even beyond what the pictures show. Outside was AMAZING. The kids loved playing in the lake and the pool. There are so many games and outdoor toys, my kids were constantly entertained. I couldn’t imagine a better way and place for us to end our summer. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at The Retreat. We had a small family reunion before school started. This property is very well maintained, and has everything you need. I highly recommend this property on Lake Conroe. From Adults to kids, there is something for everyone. I have rented a number of homes, and this one is the most stocked home. No matter what you need, it was there, and the owners were incredibly responsible. A memorable trip.

House was amazing! Pool and hot tub were beautiful. Andrea thought of everything! Communication was awesome at all times. Would highly recommended this gorgeous place on the lake! She even had a outdoor AC unit that made it perfect for my 9 month grand baby to tolerate the heat!! Perfect!

Amazing home
We had an amazing time here!!! Everything that we needed at our fingertips! We had a small issue with the jacuzzi and they owners were quick to respond and handled it with ease! Our granddaughters loved the pool and all the floaty stuff! Our son went fishing in the kayak and out back. We watched movies on the back patio…BBQ’q and played tons of air hockey. This home did not disappoint!

Perfect Getaway
My husband and I visited Houston and picked up our grandsons to spend a few days doing something fun. They’re 13 and 11 and it was late January so we picked this place and paid for the pool and hot tub to be heated. The boys alternated between playing air hockey, pool, playing outside in the pool and fishing. They had a blast. We also went to restaurants nearby. We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals and this one ranked at the top. It was also very well stocked and the owner was very attentive to ensure our stay was perfect.

50th Birthday Getaway
This place is simply amazing! The space was perfect for our group. Each room has it's own special touches that sets them apart yet all come together to create that relaxing retreat. Each day began and ended with the peaceful scenery of the immaculate background. Andrea and Jason are great host and extremely easy to communicate with. Hands down definitely a place we will visit again!!!

Family trip
My kids and I really enjoyed our stay at the property. There was something for everyone and so much attention to detail- they even left food to feed the ducks, turtles, and catfish in the lake. They were always helpful if we needed anything and it was a beautiful property.
