My family has visited Lake Travis several times in past few years and location wise, this has been one of our favorite. With low water levels, the dock was still in about 8 feet of water. House was quaint but great for a small family. Bunkhouses were homey and nicer than expected. Fenced backyard with grass was perfect for the pup. Host was very communicative and responsive.

We had the best time relaxing the water was great the house was perfect for our little group. We’ve already started planning another trip next year.

Me, my husband, and two dogs stayed here for 3 days for my birthday. It was a cute little house and was stocked with most essentials you would need. The fenced backyard was perfect for the pups which is the main reason we selected this house. We were very glad for the first aid kit that was provided since my husband and one of our dogs stepped on a poisonous caterpillar (unfortunately those critters are normal, just be careful!). There wasn’t safe access to actually get into the lake where we were, maybe if we didn’t have the dogs but it would have been too tricky to get in and out and no one get hurt so that was unfortunate. The other issue we had was how hot the house was, especially at night. There is not central AC in this house, just an AC unit in the bedroom and kitchen, nothing in the main living/dining room except ceiling fans and standalone fans (the ac unit in the photos does not work). We had to turn on both AC units, have all ceiling fans on and used standalone fans in the door ways of the kitchen and bedroom to attempt circulation but it was still so hot at night to the point we hardly slept. The last thing that wasn’t the best is that there are no blinds/curtains on any of the windows except in the bedroom. So at night moving about the house was a little creepy, even though they had outside lights, it’s still uncomfortable at night because you feel so exposed. Overall it was just an okay stay for us. It might be a good location in the winter since they have a nice fireplace and fire pit outside.

Perfect place to get away and relax. Park your boat for easy daily access. Furnished with anything you would need for the entire family including your dog! Highly recommend.

Great for older boys to gather!

Overall we had enjoyed our stay visiting with family. There is a grill on the property to enjoy cookouts. There is also a fire pit in the backyard to roast marshmallows and make s’mores! Yum! A dock that you can fish or a boat slip if you have a boat. The cabin is nicely furnished with some cookware and dishes. We brought our 2 small dogs and I loved the fact the backyard is fenced in. I would recommend only a small group (party of 4 or less) to stay here since it is a 1 bedroom with a fold out couch and 1 bathroom. There are extra cabins available on the property for an extra fee. So if you looking for a cabin with country charm and being away from noise from the city this is for you!
