With fourteen of us, ranging in ages from 76 to 14 months, the Lucky Penny provided us with everything we needed! The kitchen was spacious and great for large meal preparation. We procured our meats and seafood from the local markets! The oversized front and back porches were heavily used everyday, all day! It was great being so close to the beach and two town squares (IOP and Sullivan's Island). We did rent a LSV 6-seater which the kids loved riding around on. Would definitely stay here again!!

The house is incredible. We actually had so much fun there that we canceled a lot of our plans in Charleston so that we could spend more time In the house and at the beach. The property management team were extremely responsive and attentive to all of our needs! 10/10 would recommend staying here. We are considering making it a yearly tradition!

The Lucky Penny was everything it advertised. The home is spacious, clean and well cared for. 15 adults were able to stay comfortably. The kitchen table is the best for dinners and game nights. Easy access to the beach, and walk or bike to town. Highly recommend The Lucky Penny!

What an amazing place to stay. Everything as described and it’s close to places to eat and the grocery store. Neighborhood seemed like it was great, lots of people on golf carts tooling around. The owners were very accommodating for our group and the property management team was on point. Will be back next year and hope to stay here again

the house was amazing - so large, well decorated and super functional. A short walk to the beach. super week - best ever, and we will be trying to go again soon.

We had 3 generations here and things went very well. Grandma never had to leave the main floor as she had a large suite and could watch the kids play in the heated pool from the large balcony. The teen area with PlayStation and the ping pong table got lots of play, and the kitchen was well stocked. The large public spaces were complimented with numbers of bedrooms and baths. A couple of appliances were a little long in the tooth but an overall excellent stay with a responsive host.

It was a wonderful week the host and property manager were very helpful and those was as wonderful as described. We would definitely stay there again.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at your beautiful home! It was definitely a 5 star event! It was my Citadel senior's Ring Weekend and as a surprise, her engagement ring weekend as well! Your house made lots of memories for us. I would say we were very LUCKY! There was plenty of room for people to spread out, eat and chat in your home. The heated pool was a hit on Saturday and Sunday. The boys had fun playing basketball in there. The darts were a fun distraction as well. I personally enjoyed that fantastic porch swing! The kitchen had great space for food prep and was very well-organized. We definitely made great memories in your beautiful, comfortable, spacious, well-appointed home!

The house was perfect for our family reunion. We really enjoyed hanging out by the pool and on the back porch. The house has everything you need - from beach chairs to the Sonos music system to Corn Hole in the back yard. The house was well equipped and the huge dining area was big enough for everyone to have a place to sit at the table. I highly recommend the his property!

We had a wonderful stay at The Lucky Penny. The owners were responsive and helpful (we arrived on the day of Hurricane Idalia). They checked in with us frequently and came over to help clean the pool area/put the outdoor cushions back after the storm. The house was absolutely gorgeous and slept a large group of us comfortably. Everything in the house was well-labeled, and check-in/check-out was a breeze! The pool area was so cute and fun, and the close proximity to the beach/stores/downtown area was very convenient. We had the most amazing weekend and would 100% recommend this house to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay on IOP!

First time visitors to IOP and it did not disappoint. Great location and perfect house for our large extended family. Beds were comfortable and everyone enjoyed spending time on the back patio and gathering around the large dining table for meals. Great vacation!

Our family recently returned from an absolutely fabulous stay at the lucky penny with friends for five days. The house was everything we hoped for and more. It was absolutely stunning top to bottom. Lots of space for both privacy and open space on the first floor to socialize. The top floor set up was absolutely perfect for the kids with two spacious rooms with twin beds, a full bathroom, and room to hang out and wind down with some video games! The pool was extremely clean and got lots of sun. My favorite spot in the house by far was the oversized cushioned swing on the back porch. Lots of seating and options for eating - counter, table, outside areas on the back porch. It was a very easy 2 min walk to the beach. This place did not disappoint! The property manager and owner were a pleasure to deal with as well and they made the overall process seamless. We really hope to return soon!

We had a lovely time at this property! Location to the beach (< 5 minute walk, with beach wagon made it so easy) was so important for bringing little kids with us. Nearby grocery store convenient for shopping, cute downtown area within walking distance! The pool was quickly heated higher for the little kids in our group by the management company. House is beautiful, clean, fully stocked- plenty big for our group of four families! Room for many more. This is a great stay for the price!

The Lucky Penny is a great property. The house is large and spacious. We had a group of 11 and the house easily accommodated us. We had an issue with the pool not being clean when we arrived but the property owner and management were very responsive in addressing the issue.

We stayed at the Lucky Penny as a group business retreat. Our first one in 3 years. With COVID we couldn't do it so the house was perfect. We were able to do lots of outdoor stuff; have our own spaces and all cook together in the big kitchen. It was awesome and we look forward to our next visit.

Location, location, location!!! Perfect house, great condition, located close to beach, restaurants and easy access to Sullivan's Island, Charleston and so many beautiful golf courses.

The property is very large, with ample space for family vacations. It's very well equipped - kitchen, pool, games, etc. The location is great - a two minute walk to the beach. It's also easily walkable to several restaurants, beach bars, etc. It's also a very easy drive to great restaurants on Sullivans Island and in Charleston. Our group of 9 adults and one infant thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This large well-appointed home was perfect for reconnecting with 14 girlfriends that travel together every year. The pool and house was clean, spacious, and beautiful. The location close to the beach and near Charleston and Mt. Pleasant was ideal. The owner, Paras, was responsive and patient with all of our questions and the property manager was quick to address issues that came up. We had an awesome week at The Lucky Penny!

From the locale, to the beautiful house to the amenities we loved staying at Lucky Penny! Property was beautiful and proximity to beach was perfect! We especially Loved the pool and outdoor bar-and the little landing area for the small kiddos was a great aspect of the pool. Truly the house has everything we needed, beach gear and kitchenware. Plenty of space to spread out too! I will say one of the things I was most please with was the communication with the book agent and the property manager. I’ve literally never stayed on a rental where I was paid so much attention too and wasn’t scoffed at for probably some of my mundane questions haha! Communication is so key and helps give peace of mind on trip so I was super thankful for that!

5 days reconnecting with friends in this bright and spacious home. Plenty of room for all 12 of us to enjoy dinners inside and out. Good wifi and work spaces. Pool was clean and comfortable.

Beautiful, well-appointed house had everything we needed! Easy access to the beach with every beach and pool toy and equipment supplied. We especially loved the spacious back porch with comfortable furniture, beautiful landscaping and cooling ceiling fans!!

We just returned from a wonderful, relaxing week at the lucky penny! This house is set up so well for large groups or multigenerational families (ours). The layout of the house flows so nicely and the massive dining table was perfect for sharing meals and memories. The top floor has a great game set up that was enjoyed by both kids and adults when the rain kept us inside one day. The outdoor living though is where this property truly shines! The pool set up is amazing with the lounge area, bar, sink and mini fridge, and the pool even has a shallow/shelf area perfect for our little ones to enjoy. We also felt this property was one of the best we’ve stayed as far as safety with small children- there’s a top latching gate midway on the stairs that closes off the pool area as well as retractable gates at the top and bottom of the stairs which were very appreciated! The kitchen was well stocked and beach towels were plentiful, important things for a beach stay. When it comes to location, this house is A++, so close to a wonderful spot on the beach that wasn’t crowded at all when we went (end of August). Many delicious restaurants are very close by too, we even walked on the beach to Coconut Joes-get the coconut shrimp, you won’t regret it! The owner Paras is also very helpful and responsive, a few minor issues that came up during our stay were handled quickly and efficiently. Overall our whole family had a fantastic week in IOP and we can’t wait to go back!

The Lucky Penny is in a great location on the island. Close to the beach, stores and is on a quiet street. This was our second year staying here and it just keeps getting better.

The finishes and furniture are top notch. There is a electric chair lift between the first and second floors, I think. The bathrooms are nice and have a good supply of hot water and water pressure. The washer/dryer is on level 2 which is great, there are plenty of towels. There is more than enough space for 16 people to eat together, places to be alone and rooms to work. There are 3 decks, one off the main level which is very cozy, with a swinging bench and its own drink refrigerator. There the pool/bar/bbq level is perfect. We brought croquet and a big Jenga game and had lots of fun. The house has everything you need, the bottom floor has a ping-pong table, all kinds of pool floats, beach toys (including sand toys) and a wagon to take all of your things to the beach. There are chairs that previous owners of left some of which are quite nice. We opted for Chunky‘s beach chair service to set up chairs and umbrellas on the beach each day for us. Two chairs and an umbrella were $125 for six days. They were set up when we got there and they took them away at the end of the day. The house has 14 beach/pool towels. We are all gourmet cooks and we found the kitchen had everything we needed, and tons of cabinet space. There is a Harris Teeter grocery store five minutes away. There is enough space to seat 16 people with ease. There is a gas BBQ on the pool level with a bar area and an under-counter refrigerator. There is also another larger extra refrigerator on the bottom floor. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. We got reservations at the nearby Obstinate Daughter restaurant (book early!) and the food was spectacular. (Skip Mex1). We also ordered in Lewis barbecue which was terrific. The residents, some with beautiful houses, were very nice and did not mind the music and laughter. The management company is quite responsive to requests. There is space to park 6 cars. Paras, the new owner during our stay, was totally on top of all needs and anxious to help. He made checking in and out a breeze and had everything in perfect order for our arrival. He was quick to answer all calls, texts, and emails before/during/after in a pleasant and efficient manner. We were a family of 12 with eight adults and four K-4th grade kids. Each of the four adult families had their own bedroom and full bath and the kids had a blast on the 3rd floor with sleeping arrangements in 2 bedrooms, their own bath, and a fabulous living space that they dubbed “The Meeting Room”. The house was so spacious with two living areas on the main floor (we only used the one), dining for 16 with a kitchen that left nothing to be desired, multiple outdoor shaded areas with fans (spent a lot of time on the swing), and gorgeous furnishings throughout. Although the beach was only a few minutes away it was hard to drag the kids away from the pool as well as being hard to drag the adults away from the bar and seating area at pool level. This space was over the top! We used the bar fridge and sink, TV, and pool toys over and over. The pool basketball hoop was a major hit and was the most popular activity for us. It can be converted to pool volleyball but our kids were too short to touch bottom for that. The ping pong table in the garage saw lots of use as well. (Not related to the property in any way, but we rented two golf carts that got limited use by us…maybe because we didn’t know the area all that well, but it seemed that anywhere we were able to take them it would have been just as easy to take our cars. You also still have to pay to park them in the popular areas. We also rented three bicycles that were of nouse to us. Everyone will have different experiences with those - just wanted to share ours.) The Lucky Penny was absolutely wonderful! As an extended family of experienced travelers who often vacation together, I can honestly say that this is the best home we have ever stayed in! We had four generations of family members in the home and it was perfectly designed to meet the needs of our elderly mother down to our toddlers. A quiet neighborhood, one block from the beach, easy access to the IOP connector, pool in the back with awesome covered porch and bar area, walking distance to IOP restaurants and shops, quick drive to the grocery store, and perfectly positioned to ride bikes all around IOP and Sullivan's Island. It's a beautiful home, well appointed and had everything we needed for cooking and feeding a large family. The kitchen was amazing! And there are lots of fun things to see and do in Charleston and Mt. Pleasant, a short drive away. A great place for family reunions and couples alike!

Amazing location and house. A block away from the beach. Had 16 people staying in the house and it felt so big, there was plenty of room for everyone and ALL beds were so comfortable. The pool area was beautiful. Isle of Palms is so cute and the house was so close to so many fun places to go. Would 10/10 come back to this house again. Our entire group loved it!
