This rental was amazing! The check-in/check out process was simple. Great info in the welcome binder and home was very clean! The home has all that you would need in the kitchen for cooking meals, but the location was so perfect for walking around town that we spent our weekend eating at the various restaurants in town and exploring the state parks and sights nearby. Our weekend stay was during the music festival so we were also treated to every night of music in the air on the deck and with the windows open in the evening. Beds were comfy and clean as was the whole house. Being 80s kids, we found the vinyl bin and boy do it being back memories and we had plenty of reminiscing one evening! We had a very relaxing time and would definitely return! A big shout-out to Dee Dee who was amazing at answering any questions or concerns and making sure we were having a great time. She is very responsive and is nothing short awesome!

Very nice property except for lack of privacy in lower level sleeping area. Air conditioning or central ventilation would have been nice too.

This home was perfect for our family's needs. Everything we needed in the home was easy to access, and more than we expected. Perfectly walkable to all things in Grand Marais and an easy drive to out-of-town excursions.

Myself and friends enjoyed a long weekend at this property. We skied at Lutsen and it was the perfect place to call home base. The decor and thought behind all of the “must-have” items was outstanding! We would love to come back!

Place was well described. Close to trails, 30 minutes from skiing at Lutsen. Kitchen has everything you need. Everything was neet and clean. Shower was amazing. Great water pressure and kept the temperature. Not like hotels that get hot and cold. This was our first trip there. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay! We are frequent VRBO renters and this place was at the top of places we have rented. Extremely well stocked. Absolutely everything you could need. Super clean and so well decorated! DeeDee was very responsive during our stay. We will definitely be back.

The owners were exceptional.

This house is really nicely done with an updated interior. Easily sleeps 6 with 2 king beds and 2 twins and 2 full bathrooms. It has a well equipped kitchen and a nice dinning area for dinner. The house is clean and comfortable. It is perfect for a vacation up north! We have rented twice and will likely rent again next year.

Loved this property! Beautiful updated and comfortable interior. Great size for our group of friends needing separate sleeping surfaces and spaces. One friend even brought her own LP albums to utilize record player we had seen in photos! That was a fun treat! Only needed more time and cooperating weather to utilize deck. Wonderful kitchen and all the tools necessary for eating in and ideal location in town for eating out. DeeDee very responsive although we didn't have any issues to deal with during our stay. Will hopefully stay again and highly recommend it!! Thanks DeeDee and Rob!!

We spent time with our adult children and had a great time! The home was very clean and comfortable. The location was absolutely perfect!

This is our 4th time staying in this beautiful home. We love how clean and well organized the home is as well as its central location to all the things we want to do in and around Grand Marais!

We had a fantastic stay at Hillside Harbor. The owners/managers were great to work with—responsive and helpful at every step of the way. The property was exactly as advertised and served as a great base of operations for our stay in Grand Marais. We loved having everything in walking distance, from the shops and restaurants, to the brewery, bookstore, and the donut shop. We really felt like we were part of the community. The property was spotless, comfortable, and cozy, while giving us more than enough room for our group. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed when we wanted to cook our own meals, and the views were spectacular. We are already planning our next visit.

This cabin was such a cozy stay! We loved how it was right in town, and most things were in walking distance. Great kitchen to make meals in. The record player was a nice touch! Loved taking the drive up to Grand Portage to take in the nature and scenery. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Grand Marais.

The house worked out great for our family of six! Kids loved the fun upstairs bedrooms, and we loved the separation of a main-level master. Bedding was very comfortable. Kitchen was set up extremely well. It was fun to see the kid’s first experience with records-they has so much fun with it. Was a quick drive to skiing in Lutsen, and great to have dinner on the harbor in the evening. Host was great to communicate with. Definitely recommend!
