The Black Door Studio is a lovely little studio. Perfect size for 2 people and was still comfortable when my daughter stayed with us one night as well. Clean! Comfortable! And very responsive hosts!

The property was a great space for my daughter and I to stay in. It was clean, efficient and cute. Communication with the owners was great.

The Black Door Studio was the perfect location for our visit to U of O. The room is comfortable, well-equipped, and large enough for two adults. The bathroom was nicely appointed and very clean. The kitchenette was a great option, although we didn’t use it for cooking. One of the best features of this location was its convenience to the University district and downtown Eugene. Our hosts, Ikaika and Rachel, were extremely easy to reach and very accommodating. Highly recommend this property!

Clean, lovely apartment, comfy bed. Stairs are steep, so just be aware! Owners are super responsive and easy to contact. Lovely park just across the street and up a couple blocks. Will definitely stay here again when we visit our son and partner.

This is a nice place to stay. The owners are very nice. Finding the place was a bit of a challenge. It is located behind another house. Very comfortable.

We stayed here to visit our daughter for the weekend (university student). The studio is very clean and nice. The hosts were very receptive and responsive. The only detractor is the driveway. It didn’t pose a problem for us. But it is a relatively long and narrow driveway that you’ll need to back down. All in all a fantastic place to stay and we would recommend it.

Like others have stated the parking is a bit challenging for someone who isn't used to backing in from a busy street, but I would let that deter you from staying here. I booked this place for my parents (early 70s) to stay while visiting me in Eugene. I was thrilled with this spot. It was spotless, equipped with everything my parents needed. The hosts were responsive and respected privacy. The unit is close to grocery stores, restaurants, hiking, etc. A few notes that didn't bother me or my parents, but might make this spot not the right choice for others: the studio is up a somewhat steep staircase. It's safe, well built, has treads, etc. But if climbing stairs is hard for you, this may not be the best spot. The photos are accurate. Once in the studio, it's all one level and pretty accessible. Also, because of where the driveway is located, it's safest to back into the driveway (as it's safer to pull out of the driveway headfirst). I did this twice, and my parents did it several times with no issues, but I found it slightly nerve-wracking the first time. Otherwise, this place was great. Comfortable, quiet, calm, well-equipped, so so clean, and spacious for a studio.

After driving 9 hours we didn’t have enough brain cells to assemble it so we ended up sharing the Queen bed. The studio is very clean and new. We felt safe and the family respected our privacy. The bed was oh so comfy! I highly recommend Black Door Studio just bring enough brain cells to set up an air mattress!
