This home tops the list as one of the best. Agnes was a fabulous host. She met us upon arrival (early) to check us in. She made sure to let us know, the home was no longer hers, it was ours. Rarely do we have contact with the actual homeowner vs a property manager, it was really nice to feel so welcomed. The location of this house was special. The views from the front of the house and back of the house were spectacular. You didn’t see neighbors/garbage/city…you saw beautiful lands and mountains. Access to property/trails was excellent. The place was simply serene. The home itself was extremely comfortable. Kitchen well stocked….and those beds…oh so cozy! Such a charming home. Our family spent two days hiking (the Slide trail to the top of the gorge was our favorite). We also skied Taos Ski Valley. Everyone at the resort was friendly. We ate lunch both days at the Bavarian on mountain. Don’t let the long line scare you (Spring break). Highly recommend the Smokey sausage and fries…the green chile mayo they serve with the fries is mind blowing. Thank you Agnes, for sharing your home

It was an amazing property! And yes, there are 360 degree views of the mountains. The floor plan is perfect in that the master bedroom is on the opposite side of the house from the other 2 bedrooms and it allows for plenty of privacy. We didn't do much cooking, but the kitchen has every possible appliance, serving dish, condiment, etc. Loved having morning coffee on the back porch, with our dog able to join us since there was a small fenced area. And we loved the hiking trail (once we found it). We liked being away from the busyness of the plaza area, yet very easy to get there. Can't think of anything that would have made our stay better (except a hot tub!) We definitely hope to return next year.

Last summer we stayed at this marvelous home in Taos and so enjoyed the stay we decided to do a repeat performance this summer. The home is just far enough away from the city center so as to feel remote but close enough to be at the grocery store and restaurants in minutes. The house feels open and warm and there is enough space for a group stay. There are three large bedrooms, 2&1/2 baths, and a fully equipped kitchen. It is kept spotlessly clean and the beds and furniture are all top quality. Perhaps the home's most impressive feature is its view. The back porch has a view like none other and we spent hours just looking out at the mountains, forests, and clouds. It is an absolutely wonderful house and we made the right decision to return for a second stay.

This property was nice all around. It is well appointed, had many spare items available and provided if needed, and host communication was timely and efficient.

This was a beautiful home. The kitchen was my dream kitchen! And it had everything in it that you could ever need to cook or bake. The Blackstone was a nice touch and we used it a couple times. The deck in the back was our favorite and we spent most of our time out there. The views were perfect. I would suggest a binder to make some things easier such as how to lock the patio doors and suggestions for restaurants and things to do. The write up suggests free entrance to a national forest yet there’s nothing to tell you where and when. The other suggestion is to talk to the neighbors about their barking/howling dogs. The barking continued all Saturday and all Sunday. It was truly annoying.

We have used vbro for 10+ years. This property ranks in the top 2. The home is open with incredible views. A gourmet kitchen with just everything you can possibly need. Extremely clean. First property we ever stayed in that had bath wash, shampoo/conditioner supplied. Just bring your food/drinks. Great out of town location on the foothills - easy 10 minute ride into town. Loved working with Agnes (owner) - very responsive/helpful. Highly recommend this property.

The location was private yet convenient. The house was a perfect fit for us. Great kitchen with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Very comfortable all the around.

We really enjoyed this home and the host was amazing. She left us farm fresh eggs and even gave us extra check-out time. The views are spectacular and the kitchen was well equipped! 11/10 recommend this home if you’re going to Taos! Thank you Agnes!!

We planned a multi-generational trip to Taos and happened upon this wonderful house. We were delayed for a day because of a snow storm, but Agnes our host was so helpful and accommodating. When we finally arrived, it was well worth it! Beautiful views, beautiful home, wonderful location, etc, etc!!!! We travel a lot and this house had the best amenities of any we've stayed at. Nice towels, linens, kitchen appliances, even wood for the fire place! Hector, who oversees the property, met us on arrival and was available via phone or text to answer any questions. Agnes and Hector both went above and beyond to make us feel at home and we would 100% book this house again while staying in Taos!

Handy to Taos and Ski Valley. Well equipped. Excellent hiking in the adjacent Kit Carson Nat’l Forest.

This is a difficult property to review - we enjoyed our stay and thought the house was great, even better than described, but had some problems and concerns after we left. The first night we were there, my wife and daughter woke up with bites on their faces/bodies which we discovered after getting home were from bed bugs (they slept in the back guest bedroom and none of us in the other rooms had issues). Agnes had been great to work with and very helpful, but after I told her about the bed bugs she said we urinated on that mattress and it had to be replaced, which certainly did not happen. I assume this may be from a prior renter and the property wasn't inspected very well before we arrived so we received the brunt of it. Agnes was respectful and courteous and since I had a sizeable damage waiver for our visit, I hope she can get things taken care of without us having to argue over it. To be fair, before we left the property I let Agnes know about some damage my kids and dogs did cause (an old leather topped coffee table was cracking and my kids picked a large hole in it and our dogs scratched the back screen door and tore it, so both of those needed replacing because of us and I've assured Agnes we'll be certain those are taken care of) but the mattress was the strange claim against us since we only heard about the urine claim after I mentioned the bed bug problem. The insurance company reached out to me about other claims - a console table and towels that needed replacing - none were damaged or stained by us, so it was troubling to hear about these claims from the insurer instead of Agnes, but again, our policy should take care of this to make her whole for what she feels happened. The house has a great setup and I think any future renter would enjoy it - highly recommended as a very nice, comfortable and functional property. Be alerted that the drive into the property is not representative of where you'll stay - you'll pass a lot of poorly kept mobile homes/trailers getting to the house, but the house itself and private drive to it is very nice and not at all like the surrounding areas. Overall, Agnes (and her worker Hector) were always helpful, so I feel confident they'll address the issues, but regrettably something occurred after we left that got us crosswise a bit, so I can't rate the property as highly as I expected. I'd recommend giving the property a very close inspection upon arrival and note any problems immediately.

My family and I loved this house. It is beautiful inside and out, and the views are spectacular. We were treated one morning to a herd of elk walking through the property. It feels like you're in a remote area but it's close to town. The house is spacious and comfortable, and beautifully furnished/decorated. We had everything we needed and more. We can't thank Agnes enough for her responsiveness and hospitality, and Hector for his efforts to add some height to the fence behind the house so our big dog couldn't easily jump over it. It worked! Thank you for an amazing home base while in the Taos area. We loved every aspect of our visit and we can't wait to come back!

The grand and well appointed kitchen with gas ranges was a gift! Overall the home is so well provisioned - you will feel spoiled! The beautiful rural location is perfect for star gazing. Will stay again!

Stayed here with family including our 1 year old. Had a wonderful time, the views are stunning and the rooms very comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen is fantastic with everything you might need. Highly recommend.

House and views are even nicer in person. With the master bedroom on one end of the house and the 2 other bedrooms on the other, it would be perfect if traveling with other couples or with children. Kitchen and the back portal are particularly stunning. Hope to stay here again.

Lovely spacious home. Loved the view on the back deck. Very private, but close to everything. Quick drive into downtown Taos. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Would love to return!

We wanted a long-term getaway from the Texas heat, and this was our perfect solution. The home is located a short distance from the town, so it feels remote, but it takes just minutes to be in the center of Taos. The house is large, airy and has more closet space than any rental property we have ever visited. Best of all it backs up to a priceless view of the mountains. We spent literally hours sitting on the back porch just watching the days pass. The early morning light, the evening sunset on the trees and the rainbows after a thunderstorm were all spectacular. The home has three large bedrooms and two and ½ large bathrooms. The Kitchen is large and well equipped, and the entire house was spotlessly clean. We had no issues whatsoever during our stay, but a caretaker, (Hector) is just a text away.

This beautiful Adobe house was extremely clean with fantastic views. We sat on the porch each evening to watch the sunset and then gazed at the stars.
