We were looking for a place to escape during the Spring Break and, as it turns out, this was the perfect choice. A quiet retreat for the family! The games room was a real bonus, as was the proximity to some trails (don't miss Huckleberry Lookout—and don't turn back until you get to the actual rock!!!) Everything from beginning to end was exceptional. A beautiful home—well-appointed. I haven't slept this well in a long time. We would definitely put it on our "list of returns" if Marcus and Jen will have us back!

Stayed with the extended family over the Christmas break. Excellent property. It was even decorated for the holidays! Lots of space, games, kitchen had everything we needed. Very clean. Owner checked in to make sure all was as expected. Would stay again!

From our first conversation with our host to our last, our experience was amazing! We have been visiting the Muskokas for years in the fall and have stayed at various resorts, hotels, B& B's. This was our first booking on the Vrbo platform and we were not dissapointed. Our host Marcus was very accommodating, provided thorough instructions, helpful hints and was readily available if needed. Our check in was seamless. Marcus connected with us us to make sure we were settled in and comfortable. He had remotely set the house temperature in anticipation of our arrival. The home was very clean, the property was beautiful and private and our stay was delightful. The beds were comfortable and all amenities were provided as specified. Kitchen was well equipped. Beautiful spacious yard with fire pit and outdoor furniture to enjoy. Loved our home away from home and would highly recommend Marcus and his home to anyone looking for a comfortable, spacious, clean and well appointed place to enjoy the beauty of the Muskokas.

Marcus is super communicative, respectful, and helpful. The property was spotless when we arrived. House rules and clean up requests are extremely reasonable and we were happy to oblige. We loved lounging on the couch, playing pool, and relaxing in the sauna. A less than 5 minute walk to the marina. I have nothing negative to say about Marcus's home! Some accessibility info: - all the bedrooms are on the top floor - the mattresses are on the softer side, the beds are tall, beds take up most of the space in the room (except the master bedroom) but there is still enough room to get to access the beds - there is no hood range above the electric glass top stove

Marcus, your home In Windermere was a beautiful spot for my family to stay. Your home was spacious, but with a cozy feeling, it was well equipped and well-appointed, and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms was great for our family of five! The location was perfect for us, and its location next to Windermere House was a bonus that gave us an opportunity to explore this historic resort without staying at it. The property was everything it said in the description. We all felt very comfortable and the house gave us a ‘homey’ feeling. The house was clean and well supplied with everything you might need in case of an emergency. We enjoyed the daily visiting deer and fawn it is a very peaceful and relaxing place. The host Marcus was very attentive, we experienced a power outage twice due to weather conditions and in no time the generator was activated. All in all it was our first experience with an vacation rental property and we were very pleased.

Well located to access all that Muskoka offers. Great biking and hiking. The house is well setup for fun and enjoyable evenings on the front deck. Very responsive host and a wonderful property.

We had a great week. Just a short walk to a small sandy beach. Wonderful for the little ones and the not so little ones. Everything was provided including the firewood. When we did have questions Marcus responded very quickly. Thank you Marcus!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week away at this lovely home. Marcus reached out to us via phone and text on the day of our arrival to ensure our checkin went smoothly. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very close to the beach. We enjoyed the large fire pit and the proximity to several local hiking trails. We will definitely be back!

We were 6 adults and one child. Our daughter and her family were visiting from Perth Australia, our Granddaughter's first visit to Canada. The property and its amenities were exactly as advertised. The grounds and surrounding area were beyond picturesque. We had two deer visit the backyard during the late afternoon which was a delight for all. The lake and beach were a 1 minute walk from the cottage and we spent a lot of time there. Would highly recommend this property. We all enjoyed our stay immensely.

My wife grew up with a family cottage near Bala. Our kids had not been to see the area so it was time. Included significant others. The Windermere manor was just right, big enough and relatively close to all the locations we wanted to see!

We were very pleased with the size of this home. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 kids. The house was clean and we were able to take advantage of the spacious deck. It was a short walk to the beach, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the sand toys provided there.. The swing on the deck was also very popular. It was a great get away. Thank you Marcus.

Very good experience, host easy to contact

A beautiful home with everything you need and more. A gorgeous property that shows how much the owner loves the home because it has so many wonderful features. The games room with pool table kept us entertained with good family fun for countless hours. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook up homemade meals. The dinning area was perfect for the family to gather to eat or play board games. The added features like the heated floors in the master bath is something I will miss as I return home. I enjoyed looking at all the beautiful artwork in the home and was able to find many areas to relax and read. My children loved the fast speed wifi that allowed them to keep up with their school. My husband loved the fireplace and used it often. This place had something for everyone. As my son put it best, he never wanted to leave the home. Usually we will plan trips to different parts of the area but we found this time we planned less so we could simple stay home. I keep saying home and not property because it felt like a home away from home and gave us all the ability to recharge. Leaving this place was the hardest part of the trip. Finally the owner was kind and check in on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and was easy to reach when we had questions. We lacked for nothing at this beautiful home and hope to return in the future.

Great spot right in the village with everything you need to have a relaxing stay. We enjoyed the pool table and darts. Very clean and Marcus checked in to make sure all was ok. Great property.

We hosted Christmas at this house during a massive winter storm. Marcus was a wonderful host who checked in on us to make sure we were ok. Definitely coming back!!

Great property perfect weekend getaway

Fantastic location. Great spot to enjoy Muskoka.

My family and I had a great time at this property despite a widespread power outage resulting from a storm. Marcus contacted me as soon as he became aware of the power outage and arranged to have the generator started within minutes. Marcus was very attentive remained accessible throughout the weekend.

House well maintained, clean, comfortable, cozy, excellent location, calm neighbourhood, perfect for enjoying with family. The host is very kind and thoughtful.

Lovely century home and property with many upgrades yet retaining the charm of yesteryear. Outdoor living was lovely. As golfers being right across from Windemere golf was hugely convenient as well as walking the the resort for dinner and a swim. Can't beat the master bedroom shower!!! Will be thinking of next year. Our family of 6 adults enjoyed the spacious accommodation and especially the Games Room which included a pool table. The bedroom furniture definitely needs updating. The cleaning process should be addressed. On entry there was an unpleasant odor and we immediately opened the windows! Overall we enjoyed a 3 night stay at this property.

We had a wonderful time. I was totally amazed at how well stocked the property was. The kids loved the fire pit. Everything we needed was there. My only criticism was that there was too much stuff everywhere, dust collectors.

Very nice cottage getaway! Marcus was very helpful and prompt to respond to our requests. An excellent feature is a game room, which provides a fun and cozy space.

We were attending a wedding at Windemere house and thought we would be more comfortable in a house vs the hotel rooms that were being offered at the resort. The home allowed our adult children to all have their own rooms and we enjoyed being able to make meals in the well equipped kitchen. It was better stocked than many of the spots we stay in with our timeshare. The kids liked being able to play pool, sit in the backyard and explore the village and surronding towns. Would highly recommend this home if you are in a similar situation or looking to have a little muskoka escape.
