Beautiful location, quiet, serene, peaceful. Very good walking area. Amazing views.
Beautifully decorated but felt it was not well maintained. Most importantly, pocket door in Master suite off track so acted like a barrier to the bathroom vs entrance way. Had to walk all the way around the common areas and the stairs to use the Master bathroom in the dark. There was clutter in corners that wasn’t decorative. There were ants on the kitchen counter. Dishes did not feel clean so we had to run a load prior to eating our first meal. Dishes felt clean after that, so not your dishwasher.
House seems much smaller than in photos. Needs a little TLC. Stairway to dock didn’t t have a bottom stair, and stone stair slippery with algae. Someone could have fallen. And noise travels easily in house. Shower in MBR didn’t feel clean. Upstairs bedding didn’t feel clean so my friend had to wash it before use.
You may need to hire different cleaning crew.
Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

We rented for a weekend, so we could get to know the local area. Sister Lakes is a nice area, consisting of several lakes, including Cable Lake (where the cabin is located).
There were plenty of beds and the bathrooms and kitchen were well-updated. The screen porch was a perfect place to enjoy a time-appropriate beverage and the beautiful Cable Lake view. Easy check in and nicely stocked and furnished!

It was a great relaxing weekend. The lake house was beautiful, with great views of the fall foliage. The local town, Dowagiac is definitely worth a visit!

Our stay was to celebrate my wife's birthday. The cabin met our expectations. We dined at the Sister Lakes Brewery and did some wine tasting at Contessa Wine Cellars. The weather was cool and overcast most of our visit but we were still able to enjoy the peaceful view of Cable Lake and really appreciated the toasty gas fireplace.

We loved this wonderful lake cottage. Everything met our expectations and was as described in the listing. Being able to walk out to the lake was awesome.
We had Easter dinner at the cottage with family and everyone enjoyed their time at the cottage. The gas fireplace added a warm, cozy ambiance. We plan to book again in the fall to see Michigan’s great fall foliage.
We truly were sad to leave.

Our family stayed here for our daughter’s wedding at The Revival Wedding Barn. We chose it due to its close proximity to the venue! Our weekend was fabulous! This cute cottage gave our family the opportunity to spend time together, relax, and have some fun before the wedding day on Sunday. House was clean, in great condition, and was stocked with everything you might need from dishes, cooking items, bedding, kayaks, paddle boards, bug spray, sunscreen, and more! The lake is beautiful and so quiet! No motorized boats on the lake was fabulous! It was so peaceful! We saw some of the other lakes and we’re so happy we were on this one! We will definitely rent this property again when we can stay longer than just a weekend! Thank you for helping to make our daughter’s wedding weekend so relaxing and fun!!

We planned our stay to celebrate my wife's birthday. We enjoyed wine tasting at Contessa Winery and a great dinner at Sister Lakes Brewery. The weather was cool and overcast much of the time so the warmth of the gas fireplace was much appreciated. The view of the lake added to the ambiance and the sound of the spring peepers brightened our walks.

We had a lovely visit to this cottage which was beautiful, wonderfully supplied, with a lovely lake view, even in the winter!

The house was very nice and comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood. Maybe a little farther away from things to do than we realized. We had a 30 minute drive to anything we wanted to do. Restaurants in the area closed by 8-9 at night so we had to plan accordingly to get dinner. Not really anything to do near our house, but the fact that it was on a lake and we had access to kayaks and a paddleboard helped.

Beautiful cottage on cable lake was perfect for me and my children.
Overall experience was 10 out of 10. Definitely will recommend. My kids and I enjoyed fishing and and playing outside all day then cuddled up for movies and went to bed with a beautiful view of cable lake.

Pleasant, quiet, and cozy
I had a lovely stay at this cozy lake house. The pictures are representative of the property and my local contact Lauren was incredibly helpful. I really enjoyed the gas fireplace right next to the view of the lake.
I stayed alone, so can't speak to the other sleeping accommodations, but the master bedroom was great. It had a view of the lake and the bed was very comfortable.
Lauren told me about a great little hike nearby and that definitely added to the whole experience.
I didn't see or hear any neighbors while I was there (but it was a snowy week), the wifi was great, and it was easy to have groceries delivered via Instacart. The kitchen was also well stocked when it came to tools, thought I'd bring olive oil, etc. if you plan to cook.
