We were extremely disappointed by this property mainly due to being misled about the location. The owner messaged me three different times with the wrong address/pin location. He led us to believe the property was in town (Fortuna) when it is actually about 15-20 minutes away. When confronted he continued to say “I don’t know. This hasn’t happened before”. He’s the one that sent me the pins not once but three times. Even on VRBO the location is absolutely incorrect. His answer to that “I don’t know….hardly anyone uses VRBO. We were debating between two properties and picked this one based on the false location provided. Also there are several stray dogs that camp out T the door waiting to be fed. Hot water runs out after about two showers.

Paradise

We checked in without any issue. There were cows in the pasture outside behind the house. In the morning, the caretaker spotted a sloth and showed us and the other neighbors! On the second morning he helped us find it again!! The house was very soothing and calming. The bedrooms each had a bathroom and an exterior entrance. The living room is separate from the bedroom spaces. It reminded me of the design of a Roman villa. We had a magnificent time and would definitely stay again!

We were a family group of four households. This house was ideal as each family unit had separate sleeping accommodations with ensuites….with a common living/kitchen area. Ideal situation for driving to see/use hot springs, local adventures, etc. We saw Sloths and Tuscans on the property. Arnaldo was very attentive and responded to and questions or concerns we had. Great Place!

The property exceeded all expectations! Large lot and complete privacy surrounded by forest. Were able to see a howler monkey, toucans, hummingbirds birds and even a sloth which the gardener went out of his way to show us. Loved the 4 separate bedroom suites - beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms spacious! Arnaldo, the host, absolutely went above and beyond - he arranged local transportation and even drove us to town himself so that we were on time for an early morning tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and give the property our highest recommendation!

Home is wonderful and perfect for a group needing 4 bedroooms and bathrooms. Pool area and outdoor space is idyllic. Hosts were accommodating easy to comminicate with. We saw sloths and Toucans in our yard! The only downside for us was that it is further from town than I originally thought. You will definitely need transportation.

We were 3 couples travelling together. This home was just perfect . Outside area was amazing with pool and hot tub and each bedroom had large beds with their own bathroom. The property was beautiful and even had a sloth in the trees!! The house was even more beautiful than the pictures 😀.

We booked this house for 3 couples and a single person. The layout was perfect! The common area with kitchen, dining and TV room was large and had everything we needed. The bedrooms each have their own washrooms and access, which was perfect PLUS the pool, hot tub, loungers and hammocks were amazing! We spent most of our time at the large outside dining area. There is a BBQ, sink, washroom and outdoor shower. The yard is beautiful, amazong landscaping - there is a sloth that lives on the property, we saw toucans and several geckos. We had a cute little visitor every evening (we named him scrappy) he was a little neighborhood dog who joined us every evening - he is beyond adorable! The location was about 10-15 minutes from La Fortuna, with a little grocery store a couple minutes drive away. We all loved it and would absolutely stay there again and absolutely recommend it to anyone. Also- I must say the check in was very easy, our host was very helpful and patient with me when I was having trouble with my phone working properly. Thank you!

This house was amazing. Very clean and comfortable. Not too far from town, but you will need transportation. Arnoldo recommended Carlos the Costa Rica Rent a guide and He was also amazing. He took us wherever we wanted to go during our 4 days in La Fortuna. It was so peaceful relaxing around the pool and jacuzzi. You feel like you are the only ones for miles. Perfect place for multiple families. Loved every minute of our stay at this gorgeous house.

We stayed here with our adult children over the Holidays. This home was very well fitted with all the comforts of home but felt like a luxury hotel. Each couple had their own space but the common area was the best for our family to gather, chat and party. The onsite manager and the rest of the staff were amazing. There were sloths on the property and the different birds were so abundant. I can’t say enough about this great home!

We were 3 couples staying here. It felt like we were staying at our own personal hotel. Super Clean and Very Comfortable. We had Arnaldo and his wife cook us dinner the first night and it was wonderful. We drove into LaFortuna and did a couple excursions and ate at a couple different places including a great Soda. Saw lots of birds and the lawn/pool guy showed us two Sloths. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub!! Everything was amazing! We will definitely tell our friends that this is the place to stay!! This is one of the most impressive properties I have ever rented on VRBO. It feels more like your own personal hotel. Total privacy on a huge piece of property. Impeccably clean, huge rooms, amazing bathrooms. I can go on, but you get the idea. Worth every penny.

The house was amazing and the host, Arnaldo, was very friendly and accommodating. It's a bit outside La Fortuna, but only a few minutes. You do not need 4-wheel drive to get to this house. We loved our stay and if we are ever back in Costa Rica will likely stay here again. Thank you Arnaldo!

This house and location was fantastic! We planned a lot of activities and were wishing we had a whole day to spend at the house. We will be back in the future. We saw a Sloth and Tukan on the property. Amazing privacy. La Fortuna was our first stop and this was the best house we stayed in. Great way to start a vacation.

This was such a great place! I don’t think the photos do it justice. It was an easy process to book with Arnaldo our host.The house was incredibly CLEAN, just spotless. It also has incredible grounds that were just lovely. Even though it was conveniently located off a main street it is tucked way back off a gated entrance and we never heard or saw a car.I think the layout of the house is important to understand because it is different than anything we’ve stayed in before. The bedrooms basically are individually shaped in a U separate from the living room/kitchen area (they surround the pool) and each individually lock off. This gave such a great sense of privacy. Each bedroom was large and equipped with a large bath with double vanity and walk in shower, area for clothing and a safe. Inside the main house, 3 steps from bedrooms depending on which one you have is kitchen, dining, living with a laundry area off kitchen. All very modern and clean with excellent appliances, tv, etc. It was really a nice house! Our host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and to make sure we understood the codes and such. Arnaldo also helped arrange transportation from SJO to the rental as we were coming off some long redeye flights.The next day he very kindly offered the 5 of us a drive to La Fortuna (rental is approximately 10 minutes outside the town) to pick up our rental car. The only thing we would suggest is table lamps in bedrooms! But excellent stay!

This beautiful property was breathtaking. It certainly looks better in reality, photos did not do this place any justice. All 4 bedrooms have individual bathrooms are on the outskirts of the main house. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped. Housecleaning was spotless. The house sits on a well manicured property everything seems well thought out. Having a warm host, inviting home, and beautiful property makes everything perfect. We will return to soon!!

I am a widower and I took my two children and their spouses to Costa Rica. This is the first place I ever saw with the house built around the pool. It was clean the host was doing a good job and we certainly enjoyed it. It's a rural area

Absolutely perfect house for our 2 families of 4. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice! The 4 completely separate and private rooms were appreciated by everyone. Kitchen is beautiful, spacious and very well stocked. The pool and hot tub gorgeous and, with the huge deck with chairs, hammocks and loungers, made a great place to relax at the end of each day. We took advantage of the BBQ and ate a dinner at the large table on the pool deck. The maintenance person on-site pointed out a sloth that lives in a tree on the property - so that was pretty cool. Great communication from the host. Overall, a wonderful experience. I just wish we had more time there.

We absolutely loved this property. It was conveniently located close enough to La Fortuna but far enough away that we could still see the stars at night. The large kitchen was perfect for cooking while gathering together for conversation. We used the pool and hot tub every night after long days exploring the area. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and the property was very well maintained. The layout made it perfect to rent with friends since everyone had their own area at night. The host was responsive and everything went as planned.

My group was very happy with our stay. It is actually nicer in person than in the photos. Host is very attentive and friendly. Great experience!
