The house and grounds are large and clean. The pool and hot tub were great fun. The outdoor room was great, especially on a rainy day. We also really enjoyed the dock and the kayaks. The kitchen was beautiful, and the ice maker and the two refrigerators were extremely useful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This River property is a little bit of Paradise away from home! It is everything and more as advertised!
My husband and I leased the property for 5 nights for a family reunion, ages 1 to 89 years old!
My family of 5, my Mom, Dad and Grandmother, my brothers family of 4 and my nieces family of 3.
The house was big enough for all of us to be together or everyone could have their own space. We enjoyed
the pool, the hot tub, the playground and the sunsets across the river were amazing.
My 14-year-old daughter claimed the cutest little guest house just steps away from the main house.
The property is well maintained, very clean and stocked with everything you need. Just bring your food!
The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The beds are so very comfortable.
We didn't want to leave this amazing place and each of us left with such wonderful memories that we will never forget.
We look forward to out next vacation here.

This lovely home was the perfect place for a gathering with our children and grandchildren. There is plenty of living space for family members to relax and enjoy a special occasion. Since we cooked multicourse meals for the group, we especially enjoyed how well equipped the kitchen is: plenty of cookware and serving pieces.
The grounds have wonderful options for outdoor activities and there is plenty of sports equipment - all in good condition.
Would recommend this lovely home to anyone wanting a beautiful location and excellent amenities.

Lovely stay for extended family of ages 80-3. All had a wonderful time. Well equipped house, lots to do and property manager so helpful. Gorgeous view every am and sunsets at night. We all unplugged, relaxed, and enjoyed being together!

This home had everything you can imagine. We had 13 adults, 3 boys from 7-9 years old and our granddaughter of 1. We all had a great time and the views were amazing.

We were looking for a place to gather - grandparents, parents, kids, siblings, cousins - and this was the perfect pick. Space for everyone, lots of activities, a layout that allowed for casual quality time and also space to get away.
The onsite caretakers were amazing for the few small things we needed or questions we had. Fishing, tons of pool time, the playground, a fully stocked kitchen, and the fire put were all highlights for us and used daily. If I was forced to offer suggestions, I would recommend lighting for nightswimming and a hammock or two but otherwise, this place was perfect for us and we would recommend it to anyone!

Sometimes it's hard to please everyone on a family vacation, but not with this house!!! This property has it all! We played pool , we swam, we fished! We never left the property! Well maintained, clean, and super nice people through the entire process!!! 100 Stars!!!

Our family enjoyed our third, fabulous family vacation in this luxurious, very accommodating house. We are deeply grateful to the owners and groundskeepers for their attention to detail. The house is big and beautiful! We loved that it is all on one level and has an open floor plan. The house was impeccably clean, and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. The host and property managers were friendly and very responsive when we reached out.
One thing to note is that the path to the dock/river is on a rocky incline that could be difficult for some to walk
down.
There was lots to do on the property. We enjoyed the pool, the basketball hoop, Frisbee golf, and the river. There are games and books to enjoy if you don't bring your own. It is a great house for spending time with family!

The home is beautiful and perfect for family vacations. We loved hanging out in the pool and watching movies together in the media room. We were weary about staying somewhere with property managers living on site, but it really wasn’t an issue.

The location was fabulous, the house was beautiful with everything you could ever need. It was spacious, clean and the pool was great. The only thing that could have made it better was the weather. The pictures do not begin to show how large the home is and the layout is perfect. We were indoors most of the week due to rain and had plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing.

My wife and I brought 12 teenagers ages 15-19 years old. They loved the pool/volleyball/boat dock and exercise trails. We docked our boat however that takes some creativity. Pay attention to tides as the water is LOW at low tide. The home is amazing. The sunset is unparalleled.

Gorgeous, spacious house! Grounds are lovely with lots of amenities. My kids loved going for walks around the path at night with lanterns and of course the salt water pool was amazing. Lovely easy to use hot tub & comfortable river room with brand new teak furniture. We had a great week in MD! Thank you for everything!

50th Anniversary Trip to Maryland
My family and friends enjoyed your home thoroughly! I reviewed early this week, but I wanted to say a couple of other things. Barbara, the owner and our contact, was very, very helpful. She could not have done anything more to make our stay fabulous! Very prompt on all my questions and concerns. I have to say she more than went out of her way to communicate with me. Also Jim the maintenance person was wonderful. He was present daily. He cleaned the pool daily and made sure the little frogs were safe after a night swimming around the pool. I recommend this property to everyone who wants a peaceful place to stay with lots of amenities and is close enough to sites to enjoy. I hope we are able to make the trip to Maryland again!

Cooked a lot, ate out a lot, fished, swan, played volleyball, basketball, wiffleball, pool, etc. Visitors could easily be entertained at the house and not leave. Our grandkids are ages 4-17 and they all were amazed at everything they could do at the house. My kids kept telling us how much fun they were having and thanked us over and over again. We hope to return to the River House!

Great Getaway!
River House was everything we hoped it would be. Spacious, great location, extremely clean, lots of amenities, plenty of bath towels. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Our entire family group was very happy with our week there. Even the driveway was great for the young kids to ride bikes on. Barbara was easy to get in touch with. Jim, the maintenance guy whom I ran into while he cleaned the pool, was super nice too. We would definitely stay again.

The Ultimate Family Retreat
We hosted parents, in laws and my brother in law and his wife for my daughter’s graduation at university of Delaware. The house is set up so that we all had our space. Beautiful location on the river and home has pool and countless games and plenty of room to roam and relax. Host (Barbara) was available when we had questions . The pictures on the site don’t do this place justice! Amazing

The property was expansive and the home was well laid out with multiple areas to congregate. The beds were very comfortable and the amenities were great! The home had everything we needed to have an excellent stay, to include a lovely fire pit with fire wood, a hot tub, and a robust kitchenware stash. We had 14 in our party ranging from seniors to children - not once did we feel crowded or inconvenienced by the home. I recommend a stay here.

We had more than enough space for a group of 13 adults. The house exceeded our expectations. Many of us found ourselves sitting outside and enjoying the river view. Just for reference, we used the sofa bed in the office for one of our guests. Access to one of the master suites is through this room, but the couple in the master suite had an exterior door so they could let the guest in the office have privacy.

We are a bunch of women who get together once a year. We had finally found the house that has everything for us. There is tons of space for everybody as well as tons of things to do to keep you busy, if you wanna be busy. The house is well equipped with supplies in the kitchen. There is also tons of little something extras around the house. The view over the river was beautiful morning, noon and night. We highly recommend this house, and after this review I am going to go straight to the website and book our next year's weekend. Thank you Sherri for paying attention to the little details that makes your house so gorgeous.
