Couldn't have asked for a better situation for our family getaway and first time to St. Croix. The place was spacious and well-appointed (all new appliances and finishes), and met all our needs. Loved that it was only a short "pitching wedge" distance to the pool/beach and cornhole, shuffleboard, ping pong, etc. We didn't take advantage of the separate tennis courts or basketball hoop, but we appreciated very much how the location afforded us such easy access to both C'stead and F'stead and the island's two golf courses.

The property at J4 was beautiful . The place was very clean, and well stocked with bath towels, face clothes, sunscreen and bug spray . The beds were very comfortable , kitchen had everything you needed to cook a meal. Plenty of family games were provided. Eric was very easy to communicate with. I would stay in J4 again. Flora

This location is amazing. We had a wonderful time.

The property and amenities was perfect. The condo was stocked with every kitchen amenity. There is a washer/dryer with detergent. Fans in every room. Beach towels, beach bags, sunscreen, water shoes and coolers. These were all the things we thought we needed to bring, and didn’t. The room was super clean and so spacious. We had 8 adults and were very comfortable. The screened in porch was amazing because the no see ums loved our Michigan blood. Eric had bug spray and sun screens in the room as well. Even assorted alcohol bottles were provided. Only negative was the Beach Shack was closed during our stay but it didn’t make much difference. If I could make any suggestions is to have water bottles in the fridge for arrival. The pool was so nice and clean, goggles and swim rafts provided. If I had to rate our experience it would be a 9.98/ 10. If the beach shack was open it would of been a 10/10. Eric Smothers the owner of J4 was very attentive and responded quickly to everything. Plus Ziggy the cat was our vacation cat and hung out with us daily for hours. Highly recommend. Thanks again Eric! We can’t wait to come back.

The condo was clean and was just as described! The condo development was very quiet the week we were there (which we prefer) and we often had the beach and pool all to ourselves! The pool was always clean and was perfect after long days out in the sun! The game room area next to the pool could use some updating. The location is central to both towns and all the activities they have to offer. A rental car is a must as restaurants and grocery stores are not walkable. We would definitely return to this property on our next trip to St Croix!

We really enjoyed our stay, we all had our own bathroom and our little one loved the upstairs bedroom. Great kitchen that allowed us to cook. Very quite which allowed for some great sleep and rest. Sunny Shack was great, Nick and the other gentlemen were outstanding, great food and drinks and it was not over priced. Get the hotdog, it was great. Great pool that was not ice cold and the beach was clear and relaxing. We didnt have to get up at 4am and put towels out to get chairs. The beach was wide open with plenty of chairs and shade. Grocery store was on the way from the airport, so get your food, beer and liquor and you will be spoiled by privacy and a nice property. Eric was great and had the unit ready when we arrive, clean and nice cool a/c blowing. Again thanks for allowing us to enjoy your lovely home, we love being on the beach and this was it.

The location of the property is nice, and the view of the sea was good. It was awkward having the washer and dryer in one of the bedrooms. The air conditioner in the kitchen was very loud, and the lighted numbers on the unit in the upstairs bedroom was too bright to sleep. There was not enough toilet paper (1 roll per room). The condo did meet our needs as far as space, proximity to the beach, and the community was very quiet. We did not really have any communication with the owner, other than he provided directions on how to reach the condo, and where to leave the keys.

3rd visit to Gentle Winds. It is a great place to vacation. Great location. Close to lots of fun spots.

Very clean location and beautiful property. The convenience of having a CLEAN salt water pool and fantastic beach access make this property stand out. The condo was INCREDIBLY well stocked... there are plenty of beach towels, enough bath towels to dry off an entire army, games, wi-fi, and a good ROKU TV setup. The kitchen stood out with an available instant pot, two air fryers, and plenty of pots/pans. What really made the stay stick out was the "Sunny Shack" beach bar. Nick and Gerod at the shack took care of us in amazing fashion. VERY reasonably priced drinks and GREAT food. They allow you to run a tab the entirety of your stay. We can't say anything negative about the property. This was our fourth time staying on St Croix and the first time at this location. We will definitely return to this specific location!

This is our second trip to St. croix, and our second stay at the Gentle winds. This is a great location. So convenient and quiet! It is perfect for families. The condo was set up so nicely and well equipped. The space was perfect. Our family of 6 felt like we had plenty of room! We would definitely come back!

This was our third time staying at Sunset. It has everything you would need for a great holiday. The owner is very easy to get ahold if you need anything.

The location was great and everything was as listed. We loved how we can see the ocean from the property and how we were so close to everything

A few friends and I stayed at the property after finishing a sailing trip in the Caribbean. We wanted to relax on the beach, and this house delivered! The location is beautiful. We loved having three full bathrooms, and the kitchen is outfitted with everything you could need. Recommend having a rental car, as taxi service is inconsistent at off hours.

What a relaxing and peaceful place to enjoy St Croix! Great condo, pool and beach. It does not disappoint. The owner, Eric is very responsive. I would go back in a heartbeat.

This VRBO is the nicest we've stayed at - couldn't ask for anything more! location in St.Croix - We loved being 15 minutes to Christensted and close to supermarket. Being in the middle of the island has its perks since you can get to each end easily. property - The property is secluded and safe with a long driveway to the condos. This specific property is the second closest to the beach and pool. Pool is clean and deep; lit at night which is a nice perk. Tons of chairs and shade. The snack shack has decent food, good drinks which is convenient (we opened a tab at beginning of stay to make it easy for teens to order). Beach is very soft and even though it was windy still able to swim (not the case at all beaches we visited). We interacted with other owners who are very proud to own at this location. Condo- This is the best stocked, cleanest, nicest decorated condo we've ever visited. Frother! Air fryer! Hair straightener! Things you wouldn't expect so I'll keep some a surprise. Comfortable beds and chairs to make it truly feel like a home. Host - Eric was helpful when I had to change my stay dates and then again allowing us to alter check out time. Very quick response and kind.

The condo is conveniently located mid island. Easy to get anywhere. Great beach with chairs provided and a great pool. The condo is very clean, well decorated and has everything you'd need in the kitchen. Eric was great to work with.

The property is well maintained with all of the amenities you would want. We were there strictly to scuba dive and didn’t use the pool and the beach but had a wonderful view of both from the room. Eric answered questions and communicated well, even asked how the diving was going. Highly recommend this beautiful property.

Our room was very clean, modern and well-furnished. I was in town for business, but would defintely stay with either friends or family. Had a great view and a nice pool. Would definitely stay here again!

The complex is very well manicured with it's own beach and lot's of amenities. Being off-season we felt we had it all to ourself. Christiansted it a short drive where there are lots of tours, shopping, restaurants and history. It was the best of everything. Calm and relaxing away from a lot of people to exciting with lot's to do and see. It would be a perfect place with kids too. Our host Eric was super communicative and helpful and the place was beautiful. We will be back!

This condo is the perfect location, we were able to be at cane bay and downtown Christiansted in less than 10 minutes. The kitchen is fully stocked for family meals, it has everything you could possibly need. The views are just amazing, the pool, the beach, shuffle board, everything just on point.... We even had mobile massage by Richelle Allen and Hector they came directly to us and gave massages in a cool open area at the clubhouse on the beach .... awww that was wonderful!!!! Eric is a fabulous host and so easy to work with... you will not be disappointed if you book this unit!!!

Gentle Winds is a great place. Private beach, cabana (with great food), great service from Nick the bartender! Plenty of chairs, palm umbrellas and great relaxed vibe. Eric the owner, has been great. This is our second time back to this exact unit. First time was wife and I, had so much fun we decided we needed to bring our kids this time. So much to do on island and with a great location easy access to everything. Eric was great to deal with and quick to respond to anything we needed. Great place will be back again!

This property is everything and more than pictured. There are plentiful beach towels and even pool "toys." The view is beyond spectacular. We had a virtually private beach the entire stay. The pool is pristine. The owner was lovely to work with and very responsive. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay at this condo. The unit was one of the most well equipped units we’ve ever stayed at. Plenty of towels, kitchen items, etc. The location was perfect at a mid point on the island and the pool and beach area were stunning. Our only issue we had was the construction that was being done in the unit directly below ours. The hammering and drilling went on throughout the day. Obviously this won’t be an issue if you will be out most of the day but when we were tired and in the unit after exploring the island it definitely wasn’t possible to take a nap or easily relax. We understand this is temporary though and would absolutely come stay at this unit again.

We loved Gentle Winds! The condo is well furnished with necessities,-towels, kitchen utensils, washer dryer, books. We like being out of the hustle and bustle yet close enough to activities and shopping-GW is perfect!!! We WILL.be back!!!

The property is well maintained, clean with comfortable furniture, & the bath/bed linens are soft! Plenty of space for 6 adults & 2 teens. A bathroom for each bedroom. Be aware- no bathtubs if you have little kids. Checkin and checkout couldn’t be easier. Key kept in the lockbox so you don’t need to carry keys. Eric was a pleasure to deal with and immediately handled the only issue that arose. Community - we were there during an exceptionally windy week. But still enjoyed snorkeling right on property. Many different kinds of fish and some taller coral can be found. The water was a little rough and very shallow so you must be careful that the waves don’t push you into the coral. There is a nice sized roped off section for swimming. Adjacent rocky shoreline with tide pools. All around the property, we enjoyed searching for lizards, crabs, and hermit crabs. Nice little play area for kids in the beach trees with a pretend ship and some sand toys. Equipment for tennis, pickleball, golf, cornhole, shuffleboard and clubhouse stocked with games and books. Relax by the pool or on the beach in comfortable furniture and hammocks. Plenty of cover from the sun. The beachside snack shack serves delicious food and drinks at reasonable prices. And the pool is a good size with a 10ft end. Location - the whole north shore was windy and the water was slightly rough for snorkeling due to shallow coral but perfect for swimming. You can get anywhere within 30 min save Pt Udall. Christiansted is the place to souvenir shop. The property is right next to Salt River Bay for bioluminescent kayak tours & Flyers grill for good food. Some recommendations: Snorkeling from shore - hawksbill and green sea turtles, fish, octopus, sting ray at Sand Castle Beach. Bright coral, turtles, cuttlefish, fish at Frederiksted pier. Cane Bay didn’t have anything different than fish seen elsewhere and according to a local, tends to be on the rougher side typically. We didn’t snorkel at Isaacs bay. Instead we went twice to Sand Castle Beach. Tour operators - Cruzan Cowgirls- Horses are all rescues, look healthy, and are gentle. We even went in the water and trotted little in the beach. Buck Island Charter sailboat- no loud party music, byo lunch, and plenty of time on Turtle Beach. Virgin Kayak for bioluminescent bay- pedal kayaks are easy and leave your hands free. Food- La Reine Chicken shack, Flyers Grill, Polly’s, and the property snack shack are all great

Gentle winds is great place to stay on St Croix. Great location, pool is nice, beach is good. Grill bar is great. All around fun place.
