Loved the town; not so much the property. No kitchen sink, had to use bathroom sink for dishes, etc. Property was a good place for a "junkyard dog."

We found the accommodations adequately comfortable for our 4-night stay. It was, unfortunately, a bit too far away from town for us to walk. Parking in town is very hard to find! The yard needed attention and that would create a more positive first impression. We were also hampered by overgrown greenery that made the property initially difficult to find; not only the driveway, but also the street itself. That said, our stay was good. The host was communicative, attentive and helpful. We are not getting any younger, so we will probably choose an option nearer town next time.

Benjamin was friendly and on top of everything, I wish I could have planned better, we found out everything was closed that we wanted to see and the rain didn't help. But all in all it was quiet and relaxing. Would definitely return.

Description was accurate. It is a basement apartment which was very clean on the inside. Owner does have access to laundry facilities in said basement apartment. Owner very helpful with information.

The room is very clean. The entrance is a little cluttered. I would call this basic accomodations at a very reasonable price. It is very convenient to town, but not right in the middle of everything, which is what I prefer.

The VRBO was very cute. Perfect size for me. Loved not having a key but using a keypad lock instead. Location looked out of the way until I began to explore and found it was central to all I was doing. Often passed by as I went from one activity to another. It was quiet too. The addition of an outside cat was a bonus for a cat lover like me. He even left me presents as only an outside cat can. Will gladly stay again when I come back to the area.

Great location a short drive or bike ride from Coastal Maine Botanical Garden and nature areas in one direction and downtown shops and restaurants in the other. And the suite was spacious with a living area, bathroom with washer/dryer, and bedroom. But ad did not indicate that it was essentially a ground floor/basement apartment, nor was host clear in his instructions about whether we had rented that space or the one above it. The suite was clean, and everything worked, but smelled faintly like the house had a septic issue. We love Boothbay and rental was reasonably priced for the area, but next time will give someplace else a try.

We had a good stay at this apartment which is a few minutes by car from Boothbay. Inside the apartment is clean and as described. When we arrived In the restroom the look was not perfect :there were some empty cleaning bottle and a empty bag on the floor, the curtain hiding the products was opened, but it was clean and there were many products to choose and from.This is minor. The main thing to improve is the outside entrance of the apartment which is located on the ground level. It was not at all welcoming with the garbage and recycle bins, cleaning things, around the door, old objects on the floor. There was a pretty outside table but we could not use it, because it was occupied with things around. It still could have been ok if all of the stuff had been well maintained and organized to give us some nice space outside and to give us something agreeable to look, instead we didn't wish to stay out and the look was depressing. The contact with Benjamin was very good, in general, but the instructions for the arrival were not clear and we had to call him. The apartment is still a good value and nice inside. I hope some efforts will be made to improve the outside living area for the future renters. That would make the stay a near to perfect one.

Because of a flight delay, my husband and I were over 3 hours late getting in... Meaning after midnight! Mr. Borkowski was so wonderful to communicate with and made sure lights were on and access was easy! The apartment is as advertised. Equipment mostly like a large hotel room (no kitchen), but had everything you need for a nice and comfortable stay. The location is very close to downtown Boothbay, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, and many trails. Ben was so accommodating, adjusting to our very late schedule, giving great recommendations for trails, and just making sure we took time to relax! Our stay was short, but we would love to come back!

Ben is a great host and the room was clean and nice. There was even a beautiful cat I got to meet and make friends with! I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Location Price Cleaniliness of interior rooms spacious Cons: Photo did not indicate where the room is located (bottom floor) The patio isn'tinviting due to the abundant yard equipment that could be stored out of sight with a little effort, The sink in the bathroom is way to small for cleaning dishes. The rental has great potential and with improvements I would rate it a 5.

This property is as-advertised: clean, cute, and welcoming. My husband and I stayed for four nights while attending friends' wedding, and it met our needs nicely. It's not fancy, but it was what we expected and needed for our stay. Don't plan on preparing any meals here, because there isn't a proper kitchen; however, we were able to manage leftovers, chill wine, and make coffee without issue. The larger property and setting is lovely, typical Maine. The botanical gardens is only a few minutes' drive from the rental, and certainly worth visiting. Restaurants and shopping are a very short drive away. Walking from the rental to town would be pretty easy distance-wise, but too hazardous traffic-wise for us. The host, Benjamin, is wonderful. He was very kind and welcoming, and he addressed our only issue immediately (a hairdryer that was called out in the listing but was missing at check-in). Bonus: Kitty Cat is a sweet and friendly fellow! If you need a pet fix during your stay, keep an eye out for this orange gentleman.

Great location, clean and comfortable, and close to all the wonderful places to visit in the Boothbay area. Benjamin was helpful and apartment had everything you’d need for a vacation get-away. Recommend!

Enjoyed our stay very much. Nice to have the electric fire place to take off the chill in June. Hospitable owner. Well stocked and even a washer, dryer. If a longer stay,, more of a kitchenette would have been nice.

The space was just right it was warm and comfortable and had everything I needed. The Host was informative and gave some great suggestions on where to eat and where to hike and enjoy the area.

Perfect little apartment for my husband and two dogs while visiting a friend in Boothbay Harbor for a weekend. Benjamin was as hospitable as all the reviewers have described him and gave us some great recommendations for food and hikes. His place was very clean and comfortable and was everything we needed!
