Black Bear Lodge is a well-equipped home in a quiet setting with a beautiful view. There is plenty of room to spread out and great spaces to gather.

We spent the week here. The home is beautiful and the view is spectacular. Children and grandchildren all Enjoyed. Communication was excellent. Great place to unwind and relax or to go out and explore. We did spot wildlife also. All around wonderful week. We will definitely recommend a stay here. Thank you

This house was very well appointed for a large group. The adults enjoyed the deck and the kids loved the gaming system downstairs. The owners were easy to communicate with and responded to questions in a timely manner. We’d stay here again for sure!

Layout of the house is ideal. Sarah was very responsive to questions and every that was needed was stocked in the kitchen.

Great place as advertised. The lower level provided a great play space for the kids while parents / grandparents could get some R&R on the main level. We'll definitely book this place again.

This property was perfect for us. We were 6 adults 1 child and two infants. The kitchen is fully stocked with essentials which for us was important as we like to eat home. Heated bathroom floors and a towel warmer were nice extras. Also the welcome basket was a nice touch.

We had a wonderful stay between Christmas and New Year’s with an extended family group of two families and one couple. It’s hard to find a house that can comfortably accommodate a larger group and this place was great for our needs. The downstairs level is accessed through a separate door that leads to the staircase and allows for privacy, and is almost like it’s separate apartment. The third-floor bedrooms are airy and have wonderful views and are basically two master suites. Our older parents enjoyed the bedroom on the main level as it did not require the use of stairs. All beds were comfortable. The views from the house in general are lovely over the mountains. Though it was too cold for us to use the deck, in warmer weather the deck would be a great place to hang out. The children did spend some time hanging out around the fire pit on the deck. Though the house sleeps up to 14, the dining table is meant for eight so that is one thing to keep in mind. The owners were very accommodating and quick to answer any questions. Parking was easy and we had three cars. There is no steep incline to access his house, which would make it easy to access even if there was a lot of snow. We would definitely come back again!

Overall we had a good stay. First day we got there, there was no hot water. We reached out to the host (which was super responsive. great host!) and the maintenance guy walked us through how to turn the heater on. The water ended up going cold again the next day, and the maintenance guy had to come take a look. We didn’t have any issues after that. Besides that, the dining room table looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in ages. The table mats were basically glued to the table due to how sticky it was. We also had to REALLY clean the grille before using due to how overdue it was for a cleaning. Other than that, the house was beautiful and so was the view. The beds were comfy. The gas fireplace on the deck was wonderful. It was spacious and homey. The neighborhood was quiet. I would definitely recommend this place to a family or friend.

The view off the back deck was beautiful, the house itself is beginning to show a little age. There were several small things that really could have been taken care of during regular maintenance that would make the house much more appealing. The toilet in the master bathroom wobbles, one bedrooms will not cool down properly. One of the showers would not drain properly and you end up standing up to your calves in water and taking a shower. I cleaned out a large glob of hair from the drain in that shower, so it drains properly now. there were also not enough towels and washcloths provided. If I’m spending over $5000 on a house I don’t expect to have to call and ask for additional towels. The police came by the house one night and said that someone in the neighborhood had seen one of our vehicles speeding in the neighborhood. No evidence, just someone’s opinion …

great for kids (basement gameroom), deck views - can see snow on the slopes. nice grill for cookouts, plenty of room with 3 stories. lots of parking. quiet, beautiful neighborhood. minutes from ski slope parking lot.

The property was as pictured. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the living area and kitchen. It was great to have the downstairs area for our kids with the Pac Man game and bunk beds. There was a discoloration on the ceiling in the kids' room that was a little concerning. However, we did check it out and feel it may be more of a paint issue rather than mold (hopefully!). It was a quick drive to the slopes which was great.

We enjoyed the house very much. It was great to have a bedroom on the main floor for our grandmother. Kitchen was well appointed. The views from the deck and huge windows were terrific. Beds were comfy and we loved playing Pac Man! We will rent again in the future. Thanks again to Sarah our property manager

This is a great property! Cozy, warm and spacious with excellent view. Comfortable beds. Appreciated the outdoor gas grill and the fireplace. Loved our stay with family at this Wintergreen home.
