Well the neighbor across the bay was very creepy all he did was watch us from his blinds. Then he call and told lies on us . Plus he got into it with myself and husband. I want to warn the next renter who rent this house beware of the creepy neighbor

Cabin was nicely remodeled and on a canal. Next time we will bring fishing gear and crab trap bait. The bed could be upgraded.

This place was perfect and homey. Very nice kitchen. I would rent it again.

The house was great. The listing is a bit misleading. It says bedroom 2 has 2 double futons. It’s only a 1 bedroom house. The living room has 2 sleeper sofas. It still slept 6 people but we were definitely expecting 2 sleeping areas. Overall it’s a great place to relax and let the kids fish.

We enjoyed our stay and outside a few minor cleaning issues everything was great. Only big issues we had, was it is not boat & trailer friendly and on a dead end street. We have a 22’ Shallow sport and the owner had his boat & trailer parked inside the very small yard. We finally decided to go launch our boat & wiggle our trailer next to the owners leaving very little room for the truck and be able to shut the gate. Once we got all that figured out, all was good. I would definitely go back but might think twice about bringing our boat. Thank you Madison for all your courtesy and help.

Communication was a little lacking. Check in information was given to us almost 30 minutes after we were supposed to check in. We believe they may have forgotten we were coming due to the fact the house and property wasn’t really cleaned when we checked in. There was cigarette butts everywhere outside. Besides the check in/ cleanliness of the place, we really enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and the perfect size for 2 people who just want to fish. They also had green lights everywhere to fish with which was really nice. I would definitely come here again and was sad to leave.

House was perfect for my little family, it was our first getaway with our 8 week old infant.
Just wish there was more towels for the bathroom & kitchen!

This place was fanastic, would absolutely recommend to a friend! The only downside is there is no dishwasher but other than that it’s a great place for a get away :)

Great property! It was clean and as advertised. Check in/check out was seamless. Being on the canal was awesome and great if you enjoy fishing. There is a green light off the dock which made night fishing a lot of fun being able to see what was hanging around.

Great location wonderful updated house. They do not however have a stocked bathroom there was soap to wash your hands but no shampoo, conditioner or body wash like the list states but that is the only issue I found! Would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed my stay. Clean, roomy, comfortable, peaceful. A few suggestions though. An extra supply of garbage bags, paper towel, toilet paper, washcloths, etc. would have been awesome. I had to buy all of that. Not a huge deal, but since I flew, I had to leave most of it behind. Also, A washer and dryer are not in the house. I think for that reason only I probably won't choose this property again. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable stay. Thanks for having me.

My husband and I stayed here for our 2nd wedding anniversary. You can’t beat the location right on the water, so many fish! The home was absolutely charming with the beach theme. So close to everything but yet not in the middle of all the night life partying. The host was great with communication, we really look forward to coming back to Jamaica Beach!

Cute little house. The kids had fun fishing off the deck. Only thing was that we were unaware that there was no washer and dryer. Would have been nice with the kids and all their mess but not a deal breaker. Would stay again! Thank you!

Nice quiet spot! With perfect views
The place may look small in the pics but it was perfect! My family had the best time tons of outside living and the pills out beds allowed plenty of sleeping room. Highly recommend to anyone!

This property was great! Everything looked brand new, kitchen, appliances, bath and furniture! I didn’t use hardly anything I took, it was all furnished! Would book this again!

We were impressed with this VRBO! We’ve never stayed on the canal in Jamaica Beach before, so we really enjoyed that aspect of the rental. The house was very clean! Checking in and communicating with the host was a breeze. We’d recommend this rental!

Small Beach Getaway

Belated Anniversary Retreat
Life is often too hectic and fast paced to take time out for the truly important things. My husband and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary at this quaint bayside cabin! It was absolutely perfect for fishing off of the deck, shopping at The Strand, and eating at local favorite restaurants! Putting the madness of the world aside for a few days was just what we needed! I paddled out to the bay on my board and enjoyed some quiet time alone. Perfect home for two or a small family! However, all good things come to an end, but if we rent another home down this way, we will definitely check to see if this one is available! Thank you for sharing it with us!
