Very clean, ON the beach, beautiful sunset. Great house, manager was very good with getting us information. I love Arch Cape area, you can hear the waves from the house. My only draw back is the neighbors are 6 feet away... the windows on the side are looking into their window

The kitchen drawer fronts fell off, they did get fixed that same day..... the back of the home is all windows and views of the beach are really nice. the front side (street side) of the home is rather dark and the 2nd bedroom is quite small just a bed fits in it and you can't walk around the bed. the kitchen had all that we needed and then some! A nice place just a little overpriced for the condition of it. The beach is a block away!

Not having to vacuum and wash linens at move-out made life easy. We just needed to clean the dishes, start a load of towels, tidy up and leave the furniture in original locations. My wife said there was a hair dryer there, and it should be included in the listed house items. I thought a few more of the windows should have screens as we like to leave them open at night to keep the rooms cooled. My 5 year-old grandson said "this is the best beach house ever!"

This house was great for us and we hated to leave. Arch Cape is perfect for a quiet beach vacation.

It is a short walk to the beach--and what a beautiful beach it is. It is ideal for flying a kite which you can get in Cannon Beach. Arch Cape is much preferable to Cannon Beach if you want to avoid the crowds.

Best part of the stay was the view. Trip would have been perfect if the back room bedrooms were nicer and there had been beach toys, towels and blanket or chairs.

A lovely and we'll appointed home with stunning views of the ocean and easy access to the beach. Loved the living room WITHOUT a television, and the second family room WITH a television. Will be back.

Wonderful location. Out of the hustle and bustle of the beach towns but easy enough to get to. Just a block from the beach access. Love being able to look out the windows and see the ocean. Clean and comfortable house. Love all the pictures and maps on the wall. We will be back!

The house is setup with two distinct sides that would easily accommodate two families. There is table seating for twelve, and this is the best stocked kitchen I have experienced with any home lodging. From muffin tins to pancake griddles, to shellfish utensils and place settings for fifteen easily, the items were quality pieces and made for great home cooked meals. Between the seven of us, we never ran out of hot water for showers and the bathrooms are lovely. I would only ask that there be lights to illuminate the drive. Thankfully, the home is right at the T-intersection, however, lights would have made for an easier and more welcoming arrival. The views are to die for, the bits of history in prints and maps throughout are very interesting. WiFi worked well, TV (if your kids can’t live without it) worked well also. Bedding, towels, pillows are all plentiful and good quality. Blue tooth speaker for background music while dining, playing board games, or just sitting together taking in the view was a great touch. We had a wonderful stay, thank you!

This was the perfect place for our family of four (college-aged kids) to relax together away from "it all" for the week before Christmas. Everything about the house was cozy and welcoming. The owner's attention to detail couldn't be better: an amazingly well-outfitted kitchen, logs and matches by the woodstove, pillows and sofa throws spread about, comfortable mattresses, and a deep, quick-filling bath tub. The beach is a half-block away public access, but that wasn't a problem. Because of the tide schedule, most of our walks were up at Cannon Beach, anyway. Note: we liked the map on the north wall of the livingroom area so much, we ordered it for our daughter for Christmas!

The home has amazing oceanfront views, it is very cozy, plenty of room for our family of 7, and everything we needed to celebrate Thanksgiving.

My Uncle was visiting from Georgia and 6 of us fit very comfortably in the Pilot House. We loved how there were separate spaces/rooms to spread out and ones to join in & be together. There were wonderful amenities, fully stocked kitchen, towels & linens, everything you need to live at home away from home. It is not a handicap accessible home though, especially the shower, which was a little small, but still very nice. We have woodworkers in our family, so we enjoyed all the wood paneling of the home which gave it a cabin-like feel. The beach access was only half a block away, which was really nice. Make sure you have shoes to walk over the rocks before you get to the sand! Our favorite thing about the Pilot house, of course, was the view! You just can’t beat it. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, watching the sun rise and the sun set. Just breathtaking. We enjoyed watching the little bunny rabbits dart about the yard munching on grass & shrubs. We loved staying at the Pilot House! The home was the perfect size for our group of 7. Lots of fun activities were enjoyed in the wonderful fall weather!!

Beautiful location with excellent ocean views! The Pilot House was very cozy with lots of room. Everything was just as pictured.....no surprises. This ocean front home was very clean and well equipped. I will definitely be back!

Our family had a wonderful get together at the Pilot House. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed using the kitchen and barbecue to prepare our meals and the roomy table for eating them. Arch cape beach, which was just a short walk away, was also fun to view from the house and the back yard during the day, or with the surf light at night. (There is a drop to the beach. You can't just walk to it from the back yard). We jogged, blew giant bubbles, flew kites, viewed tide pools, played ball and just enjoyed ourselves. My family rented wetsuits and went boogie boarding at Ecola Park, which is nearby. We hiked at Falcon Cove. One night we saw a play at the theater in Cannon Beach. But it was always great to be just at the Pilot House, as well. We'd recommend this property as a fun vacation spot.

It was great place to stay in. Calm/quite neighbourhood away from hustle/bustle of Canon beach and Seaside. Nice interiors. Plenty of board games. The views from the house is spectacular.

The Pilot House is one of our favorite rentals at Arch Cape. It is sunny and bright, with lots of "spreading out" room for everyone. We love having a separate game table in the living room area, and a separate tv area in the back room. The views are great, and we had some awesome sunset dinners. There is great lighting for reading (very important to us) when we are not wave-watching or walking the beaches. The location is perfect. The owners have made some new improvements to the entry walkway and the outside patio. The home is cozy and inviting, and always immaculate.

The pilot house is a good choice for those who don't need a fancy house. It wasn't run down just very useable and warm. The place was very clean and well stocked. Perfect house for two small families. We had some trouble with the WiFi but with views like that it wasn't a factor. Easy walk to the beach (less than 2 min) and just overall good location. It is very child friendly with lots of puzzles and games. Happy our first coastal trip was at the pilot house! Very pleased by our choice.

This is a simple, well-designed house with a lovely location and great for a beach getaway. A cute pine cottage inside with a modern layout.
