We spent a week at this home in January and it was Amazing. The home is beautiful and well equipped with anything you would need. The view overlooking Maggie Valley is breath taking. A paved road all the way up to the home made it so easy to get back and forth. Everything about this trip was just perfect for me and my wife. The Property Manager, Ashley, was 5 star all the way. No matter what the question or concern was, the response was quick. If we ever travel back to the area, this will be the home we will stay in. One of the best and most relaxing vacations my wife and I have had in years.

Family group of 5 motorcycle couples enjoyed this fabulous property at 4,000 feet elevation! What a gorgeous view alone! Although the weather wasn't always the best for riding, we still took on multiple routes in our rain gear (Tail of the Dragon; Blue ridge parkway; The Rattler) and then relaxed with all the home amenities of an evening. If trailering or riding motorcycles, note the incline to the house has multiple speed bumps to maneuver and the driveway is narrow with not a huge amount of space to turnaround in at the house. We didn't have any issues, but it did take alot of time rearranging 3 trucks with trailers. Ashley is a fantastic hostess and provided great tips for local eateries and shopping.

Amazing 5 star luxury home with spectacular views and amenities for a large family. We were totally satisfied with the space and luxurious home to spend a week with extended family. Communication with Ashley was outstanding. She was quick to answer any questions and even had a gift for the children waiting and was easily accommodating when at the last minute we decided to bring a family dog. Would definitely recommend the property for your getaway or any properties that she manages.

Our family stayed at GlenVista this summer during our visit to Maggie Valley. Because our large family likes to have more spacious accommodations than hotel rooms can offer, and to also allow for cooking some meals instead of going out to eat too often, we rent houses on VRBO regularly. This house is certainly the best rental we have seen, and the views are amazing! GlenVista is beautiful, modern, spacious, well-appointed, and has all the amenities a family could want. Pictures on the profile are accurate, and the house really looks as good (or better) in person. The home is also very well-stocked, with everything from cookware, beverages, condiments, treats, and anything that you could need. Finally, our communications with ownership pre- and post- check-in were timely, friendly, and always helpful. No complaints, our family loved our visit, and we hope to see it again in the future!

Already planning our next trip back here! I loved Ashley she was an excellent host and the property and view were unreal. We’ve been staying in Maggie Valley for years and this is the definitely the best view around. 10/10 reccomend :)

We had an absolutely amazing vacation at GlenVista. Ashley was the perfect host and the house is even better than the pics…..which I can’t believe is even possible. Ashley thought of every detail and everyone from my 73 year old mom to my 13 year old son was impressed. You know when your 21 year old can’t stop taking pics for IG you scored big! The view is truly incredible…..you won’t want to leave. We can’t wait to return.

Our family had a wonderful time here. The location was central to all we wanted to do-Asheville, waterfalls, rafting, casino. We really loved Waynesville over Ashville for shopping and food. There was plenty of space for everyone and room to spare. As a property manager myself I really appreciated the attention to detail and the unexpected perks of this luxury property. I originally thought I’d like a cabin but this was better priced for the size and much nicer with a bit of the woodsy feel. I will highly recommend this property and Ashley who was very accommodating. We’ll be back! Thanks for everything!

We had a wonderful stay. This house was a perfect fit for our two families. Close to the ski resort and other towns. Very well stocked. Amazing views! This house just made life very easy and relaxing for a week. The property manager was also very sweet and responsive, 5 stars easy!

As newlyweds who have been living in Florida for awhile, we searched on VRBO for homes to visit in the mountains. We were not thrilled about the selection as most had a heavy log cabin feel...then my fiance, at the time, came across this home -and I did not hesitate booking it and we are so glad we did. This home superbly pulled off a modern designed interior and exterior yet the furniture and layout and details from the host made the home so cozy, warm and inviting. Fireplaces, Sonos speakers so we could hear music in every room and outside as well, a zero gravity bed in the main bedroom, open shower design in main bathroom with jetted bathtub and heated floors, a quality outdoor jacuzzi that was set to perfect temperature, billiard table, etc. etc. It snowed while we were there and the views from the home overlooking the blue ridge mountains were spectacular.. .sunsets and sunrises were amazing....we took some amazing pictures...we also had fun lighting a bon fire in the solo stove outdoors and made some delicious smores--ingredients provided by the host. We bought groceries from instacart who delivered and had fun cooking together in the kitchen - which had everything we needed. Ashley was a pleasure to work with --so accommodating---we were so amazed at how gracious a host she is. We took some day trips to some different places for hiking and sightseeing that were about an hour to 2 hour drive away from Maggie Valley/Waynesville --- I would highly recommend this place and we hope to go back in the fall one day. My wife and I are so thankful to have spent the majority of our honeymoon in the house; very special place for us.

My family recently visited the mountains for the funeral of a close friend. We needed a rental property with plenty of room to spread out and this one did not disappoint. From the breathtaking panoramic mountain views to the luxurious accomodations, this home has it all. We were able to greive, relax, and visit with friends comfortably. Ashley was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely be returning to this property on our next visit to Haywood County!

My husband and I came up for a week and had some family come up and join us. We left completely relaxed and refreshed. A fantastic home with an incredible view!

We went to Ivy Hill with our 18-month old son and a couple of friends with a nearly-two-year-old daughter in October. The property is truly spectacular, immaculately designed, and just perfect for families or friends traveling together. The house itself is gorgeous, and with three primary bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, there's basically not a bad room in the house for adults. Plenty of room and space for young children to sleep and play. The architecture takes advantage of the mountain views, which are truly breathtaking. Maggie Valley and nearby Waynesville are adorable, and there is actually quite a bit to do and see in the immediate vicinity (hikes, breweries, and even an Alpaca farm). Asheville is more of a drive, but not outrageous, and our littles had no issue making the trip out that way to go to dinner/see the town. And finally- Ashley is an amazing host from start-to-finish. The kitchen is well-stocked, we had everything we needed (and more!), and she was super communicative with us the whole time. There were also so many thoughtful touches, including some toys for the littles when we got there and all the fixings for s'mores. If you're looking for a luxury experience to share with family or friends in the Asheville area, there is no other choice. We loved it here!

I booked a 4 night long weekend for myself and two friends to ride our Harleys from Myrtle Beach, SC, to the mountains, enjoy the fall colors while riding 200 miles per day, and back. This house, and Ashley, are beyond amazing. Nestled quietly atop a mountainside in the Maggie Valley country club, the moderately graded, completely paved ride up to the house first passes a beautifully maintained golf course, then other well maintained houses, and overlooks Maggie Valley from above the clouds. The house is just insane. As a VRBO owner myself, I texted a lot with Ashley over the weekend, and much like our vacation house, this is not a rental, it's a home that her family is graciously sharing with others. It literally has everything you could possible need, and it is appointed with modern decor, incredibly comfortable king beds, ginormous 85 inch TV's with Sonos sound bars in every room, a pool table, a hot tub overlooking the valley, and a two beer kegerator. As if that wasn't enough for a 5 star review alone, Ashley fully stocks the house with bottled water, club soda, both ground coffee and pods, s'mores ingredients, condiments, and has a fully stocked bar with wine and bourbon for guests. Because we were on motorcycles, she even took our grocery list and placed an Instacart order at the Publix 15 minutes away in Waynesville for us, and had delivery scheduled while the cleaners were there prior to our stay, so we arrived to a fully stocked fridge. That saved us at least 2 hours of having to unpack saddle bags, ride to the store, shop with limited space, and return. I would give the Thornburgs and their property 10 stars if VRBO allowed. Book now, you'll love it.

In the past, we have been to properties that have promised us good stays and views, but haven’t kept up with the promise. However, this one not only met but exceeded expectations. The pictures don’t do justice to the beauty of the place. It is massive, super spacious, and is stocked with everything you can think of. We were 7 adults, 2 kinds and our dogs. Ashley was very accommodating of us! Starting from wines and alcohol to pop tarts and condiments, everything was well thought of. You wouldn’t need to leave the place for any reason. And honestly, why would you? The views from the house are mesmerizing. I could sit on the patio or in the living space and enjoy them for the whole day, or take a dip in the hot tub on a chilly day and relax with those views in the background! Every penny spent was worthwhile and I would absolutely love to return to this gorgeous property with my family again very soon!

Absolutely the most modern, luxurious and enjoyable mountain home away from home we’ve ever stayed in! From the moment we saw the online photos and property description, we were hooked. We are neat freaks, super meticulous, very particular about home designs, enjoy the finer amenities and so it’s always a lengthy process when we set out to find a suitable vacation property. This home checks all the boxes - it has the WOW factor, again and again. We attribute our amazing experience to a blend of 3 things : the house, the location and the host. An unbeatable trifecta!! The house is gorgeous, tastefully decorated, feels genuinely inviting, and has so many wonderful touches - massive windows for the ultimate in Mountain Views, a chef’s kitchen that is stocked beyond belief, fireplaces in several rooms plus outdoors, a dreamy hot tub, observation deck for dining and sunrise watching, heated toilet seat in the master bath, soaking tub and fireplace as well in master bathroom, oh and then there’s 2 laundry rooms, a pool table and a second kitchen….the list of amenities is long! And the location is superior! We left Florida for a week of hiking, watching the sunrise and making dinners at home. Conveniently located with access to unlimited hikes within an hour in either direction. Close enough to hikes but nestled way up in the mountains for seclusion, the perfect spot to recharge. And then the host was the cherry on top of the dessert. Ashley is thoughtful and kind and extremely reliable and trustworthy in communications. She loves her home but also loved making sure we felt welcome in her home. So we chose this property out of hundreds in the area, and it was an amazing experience! We are excited to plan another trip, with more family, and we’ll surely pick this home again! Absolute Perfection!

This stunning home sits close to the top of the mountain, in the clouds, with breathtaking views that can be enjoyed all throughout the house. It was such a breath of fresh air to find a house that looked more modern, while still feeling so cozy and boasting all of the comforts one could imagine. Completely stocked with all paper products, detergents, cleaning products, condiments, spices, Kuerig cups, so many snacks, and endless drinks!! The kitchen was so much fun to be in and included a Vitamix, Breville toaster oven, Yeti mugs and cabinets filled with all of the items that you would find in your own kitchen. The mattresses were exceptional, giant TVs throughout and so much space to spread out. If you are coming with kids, don't hesitate, this house was also made for families and included night lights, pack & play, cups for kids, oxi clean, laundry hampers, hangers, a lower cabinet level microwave and the french door refrigerator has a kids drawer. We just loved the view, the hot tub, the wet bar, the Sonos speakers and the fact that Instacart would deliver right to the house . To top off a fabulous stay, I can not emphasize enough that Ashley was the most thoughtful host and made sure that we we felt welcome and comfortable. I was so impressed when she tried her very best to accommodate the dates that we had originally wanted and also asked if there was anything we would like to have upon arrival. She surprised our kids with welcome gifts and also a fully stocked s'mores station. She was also always available to communicate about anything we needed help with and it was such a pleasure talking with her.
