We love Westwind when proximity to the beach is a priority (like for any fisherman among us, and any in our party who don’t like schlepping beach gear a long way, and anyone who dislikes stairs) and enjoyed this return visit (probably our 4th or 5th stay).Suncoast was very good to work with generally, and particularly when Hurricane Idalia came through in the middle of our first week. Communication was good (email), and they inspected the property quickly and gave us the go-ahead to return the day after the hurricane passed through. That saved part of our group another night in a hotel.Tweaks needed:Property wasn’t ready until 5:00. :(One of the big picture windows is cloudy and should already have been replaced. This is my main “complaint.” Looks bad and really mars the property’s main view, which is one of the main reasons for paying for a beachfront property. So that was very disappointing. And better monitor the window near the pass- through. It’s starting to cloud up.Sheets on master bedroom bed were badly pilled and very rough. They need to be replaced.Only cutting board is a glass one which is obnoxiously noisy to use (knives grate against it when cutting.). It’s cute and beachy, but please buy a couple of inexpensive plastic boards that are much more practical and user- friendly. Otherwise, the kitchen is very well-equipped.

House is just steps away, easy to move around in house, love the house being single level. Young kids can get in and out easy and covered porch worked well for kids and adults needing a break for sun.

Our three week stay at Westwind was perfect. Have stayed here a few times before and it is our favorite house. Just wish it was pet friendly. Sam, Emily, & Jan at Suncoast are the best - treat us like family.

Westwind is a spacious one story right on the beach. It has fantastic views of the gulf from inside and out. We love the patio which is partially covered. We have stayed in Westwind for many years and it has always been clean and well maintained.

This is a classic older home with plenty of room and easy 2 step beach access. It has been maintained well although the mattresses need to be replaced. The kitchen is well-stocked and please note that the left front burner on the stove has one setting = scorch. Great if you want to boil water. The management company was great to work with and just a lovely group of people.

We instantly fell in LOVE with this house! 3 weeks prior to our arrival on the island, we were informed that our original rental was no longer available. I was very nervous about the change of houses, but Suncoast set us up with a wonderful replacement! The home was perfect for my mother as it didn't have any stairs for her to climb. The house had everything we needed to cook with which was very convenient. The kids enjoyed having their own living room area to watch TV on rainy days. I enjoyed the covered porch on those days. It was mere steps to the water making it easy for my mom and my grandkids. The beds were all comfortable, which is a big thing for us! We are planning our trip for next year, and this house is most definitely on our list!

This was our 4th time staying at Westwind! There is plenty of room and very comfortable and very clean and well stocked ... we love that it is literally 10 steps to the beach!! There are two living areas in the house... one for the kids with a TV and one for adults to watch their shows! The only complaint is that they need a new stove... some burners worked and some did not... but we worked around it:) We just love the island... so we let nothing spoil our week!

We had a wonderful stay at Westwind!! This was our second time at this house... and already have our reservation for next summer!! It is a very comfortable house, very clean when we arrived, well maintained and right on the beach!!! There are two separate living areas that make it nice for kids ( watching cartoons) and adults (sports) ...thanks to the owners for sharing it with us!!

We have stayed at Westwind several times before, and plan to continue to do so. However, this time, one of the big picture windows was cloudy, spoiling the wonderful view we have previously enjoyed. Also, we had maintenance issues with the wifi that could have been handled better. Suncoast does not have anyone to help with wifi equipment (beyond telling guest to try resetting modem/router), and so we waited 4 days for internet provider company to come, only to find it was a wire incorrectly plugged into phone rather than internet outlet. Other rental companies have in-house maintenance people that can handle something very simple like this, and we think Suncoast should, also.

We have been renting Westwind for years...we love it. It’s right on the beach and has a wonderful patio area....half of it covered and half with sun. So it’s easy to sit on the patio and enjoy the water views if we don’t feel like going out on the beach. It’s also all one level with a great enclosed breezeway....great views of the ocean in all rooms of the living area.
It also has always been very clean and has been well maintained in the past. I know it has new owners as of this year so I hope it stays in great condition.
