Great location, close to my work. Off street parking.

When I arrived the house was dark. I waited for 15 minutes till somebody finally came to the door. He took me to my room he showed me that he keyed in my room code on the pushbutton lock. When I went inside the room there were no locks on the inside of the door. The man who keyed in my door code said they don’t have locks on the inside of the door. That is extremely unsafe. Had there been locks on the inside of the door I would have stayed. Since this man knew how to get into my room that was completely unacceptable! I do not recommend this place. I was charged the full amount and unable to get refunded. However I did find a very safe comfortable hotel down the street.

If all you need is a safe, quiet, comfortable and clean place to bed for the night at an affordable price, then the Rittenhouse is the place for you. No TV or mini fridge. Not expected, not needed for us. Not promised in the listing. Host could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Great morning coffee or tea.

Better not to have an allergy to dog hair. Owner does have a pet in the house. It is a fine old home. Three guest rooms. Master bedroom has its own bath. Other two suites share a bathroom. No one else there but us at the time, so that worked out well for us.

Our group of three women who were attending a conference at Thomas Road Baptist Church enjoyed the “homey” feel, but most of all enjoyed the owner/manager, Giovanni. He took the greatest care of us, and we would definitely stay here again. As a matter of fact, we look forward to next year’s stay.

Bathroom needs work. Sink clogged up shower curtain need’s replacing

Hospitality is the Rittenhouse Charm. The owner/host checked on me each day, provided hot tea and a small breakfast such as fresh figs from the garden or a warm buttery croissant. There are cameras in the entryway & lobby for security making it a very safe place for solo female traveler. Also, the owner/host is on site for any needs. Location is close to local public transportation & easily known by local uber drivers. Suite 3 has a great view of the garden and I was fortunate enough to see 3 deer come in the garden to eat. The house is charming. The value & comfort of Rittenhouse make it a superb place for business travelers, college students during sabbatical or parents visiting the local university.

There was an incense burning at the front door that I could not quite place and it took some getting used to. Once you assimilate it is fine.

the property was open and beautiful. it had many beautiful fruit trees as welll.

there wasn’t anything not to like.

i did like the most the way that host was so nice.
