Deja Blue is a great house for families. It was a short half-week visit but the house had everything that we needed. Short walk to the beach. Great views of the Pamlico Sound across the street. Clean, comfortable hot tub. Provided linens and towels were convenient and the interaction with Vacass was great!

House was seemingly very clean, but the carpet had just been shampooed so it soaked socks and when we went barefoot we slipped and slid across the tile floor! The next day the floor was dry. We did see two roaches….one large and mostly dead and one small, very alive. I feel like with a humid beach town, no matter how clean, this can be an issue…but still not fun to see twice. The lift was not working/no actual basket to lift. Being the basket was gone I am assuming they knew it didn't work….which was a big factor in us choosing this property because it didn't have an elevator and we have a family member with a lot of knee and ankle issues. The pool table pocket was gone completely on one corner so improvising had to be done so as not to chase balls all over the room. The internet was in and out the whole time which wasn't a huge deal until someone wanted to watch tv for more than 30 minutes…but it would have been noce to have the wifi so not to eat up our cell data. I called Vacasa the management company and they really didnt seem to care since we checked out said they were sorry would pass it to the local management office. I will say it is a very nice house, well stocked for whatever you need and beautiful yet minimal décor which is great for a family with kids. There is NO walking access to beach unless you walk between other houses, in front and over the dunes but you can drive down the road (maybe 1 to 2 minutes) and have public beach or sound access.

Felt like home, we had everything we needed plus some! Excellent location close to the sound and ocean and only a few minutes down to hatteras shops and ferry. We had an awesome stay with great communication from Vacasa whenever we needed something. Maintenance came quickly when requested.

This house is perfectly laid out with great decks, space and amenities. The home was clean and well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. The home is decorated nicely with up to date furnishings. We enjoyed the jacuzzi but were unable to control the temperature. The keypad appeared to be locked on 100 degrees. I would love to have given this home five stars but the pool was GROSS. Having owned a pool myself I knew immediately that it had been some time since the pool had been serviced. I reached out to Vacasa and I’ve yet to hear back. It is frustrating because this was also an issue for previous renters. We rented this property with the expectation of the pool being useable. It’s still summer! Don’t advertise the pool as an accommodation if you are unwilling to keep the service up on it. It’s false advertising and frustrating when you treat renters this way. Additionally, the lift would have been nice especially after hauling luggage up several flights of stairs. I would rent again but only with the guarantee of the pool and use of the lift.

The property was just as described. The kids enjoyed the wading pool, and the outdoor furniture on the top deck made for nice mornings and evenings. The furniture was comfortable (minus a few detached dining chair pads), and the open floor plan was great for bringing the kids along. Note: The lift is for owner use only - so if you catch that mentioned in other reviews, don’t get excited to use it like we did 😂.

We stayed with the kids and family. The property was very clean and located minutes from Frisco Beach. It was off season so not much going on but a good trip to get away from the everyday grind. Thanks for having us.

We stayed here the past weekend 10/9-10/16. The house itself it’s very nice and child friendly. The home has the perfect layout with all the handy kitchen supplies. However, when we arrived the pool wasn’t clean, the grass and weeds were 4x as high as all the surrounding homes, the hot tub would not stay on or keep warm, and there was an excessive amount of dog hair through out the house (clumps of it). I understand this is a dog friendly home, but we had to clean ourselves upon arrival. We called multiple times to try and get these issues fixed and the only feedback we received was, “we’ll have your local vacasa reach out to you” and no one ever did. We called the local vacasa and they told us someone would be out, no one came. It was unsafe to have the children running or walking through tall grass and disappointing that they couldn’t swim in a pool due to it being filthy and full of dog hair as well.

The home was in good shape with the most well-stocked kitchen I’ve seen at a rental. Beds were comfortable & furniture felt great. The game room was fun & my family loved the retro video games & pool table.

We came to relax and be near the water. We were not disappointed! The sound views and ocean air are calming. This home has all you need to just chill and let the stress melt away. The beach access is just around the block. Food and shopping are a short drive in either direction. The kitchen is well stocked with basic necessities and tools to make meals, coffee and even chocolate chip cookies!

This house had everything we needed, plus some! We were so relieved to find the pack n play, high chair, sippy cups, even kids cutlery to make our stay easier and more enjoyable. Our kids were so surprised to find some toys in the bunk room that helped keep them busy throughout the stay. The game room was an after bedtime hit for the adults! The beach was clean, quiet, and super long - tide pools were awesome! Watching kite boarders and windsurfing from the deck was a fun treat. We can’t wait to come back next year!

The house was very clean and the location was perfect for our small family. We like the Hatteras area - less crowded than our usual trips to the Nags Head beaches. A plus was having a pool (very small - but okay), pool table, hot tub and video game console for the gamers! The house is loaded with baby gear which we did not expect but appreciated, toys included. A short walk to the beach was perfect! Highly recommend this house for a smaller group!

It was a lovely home. Fully stocked with what is needed to have an enjoyable stay. There were a few things that were concerning. It was a nice day so we opened the window above the kitchen sink and looked to ants but they were termites. Now many but enough that it needs to be concerned. Also the luggage lift hasn't worked since we arrived which made unloading and loading a hot humid task. And finally there is PC of wood loose coming out of the pool area which I tripped on. And the railing at the pool steps are coming out of the ground, this is definitely a hazard. But it was a lovely home overall..

The place was quiet, had great amenities, excellent access to the beach, a relaxing hot tub and a very small but equally nice pool with a great deck. We really enjoyed our stay! The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils. We really couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you!!

We had an excellent stay at Deja Blue! Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and super kid friendly! The hot tub is convenient and so nice for watching stunning sunsets over the sound. Loved waking up to sunrise ocean views from the top floor windows too! The game room was a big hit with everyone and although the pool was small it was warmer than most places we’ve stayed so our kids couldn’t get enough. Great selection of games/books/DVDS for the rainy/windy days and super short walk to the beach. Can’t wait to return!

(Full disclosure: I am the owner’s sister.) We had the pleasure of staying at this house for our beach vacation in mid-May. The house was in a great location (2 min walk to the beach and 5 min to the sound). My family of 6 was very comfortable here. The beds were cozy, and we had sunset and sunrise views - really gorgeous. It rained for us a bit, but my kids still had something to do because of the game room. The hot tub is covered, so we could also utilize that when the weather wasn’t cooperating. The people were very friendly around town and on the beach. The beach was pretty empty mid-may so it was great! It’s a great little spot! Highly recommend!

The furniture and beds were fantastic. The pool table room was great. Nice place. We have teens so the game room was well used however we could have used another big bed instead of bunk beds. They were nice though. The hot tub was small and we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the fireplace The house shook a lot from the wind and the traffic noise at night is something we weren’t used to but it wasn’t bad. Overall it was a great place. I did hear it had doubled in price which means we would have to stay elsewhere in the future unfortunately The big tvs in the living and master area were nice. Kids got nice tvs but were jealous of the bigger tvs
