We loved this property at Carolina Beach. The condo was clean and just as listed. Great views off of the back porch out over the marsh and just a 2 minute walk from the beach!

We had a wonderful time at this property. The house was beautiful and the location was great. The view off the back deck was gorgeous and it was just a quick walk to the beach. We really enjoyed the pool after a day at the beach and it was never crowded. The house was updated and beautifully decorated. It was very comfortable for our group of 6 and was well supplied with everything we needed and more. Alicia was a great host and responded to any communication in a timely manner. We would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful view, host isn't stingy, which is refreshing. Have stayed in many rentals and most hosts don't leave you anything to help with the stay because they're cheap. This one is different. Just enough is left to make the stay more comfortable. Very pleased overall!

The pictures don’t do the views from the house justice. The back porches were our favorite morning and evening spot. The location to the beach is ideal for an easy walk each day and for a ride to the boardwalk. The house is well maintained and stocked. The only reason we did not give 5 stars for cleanliness was because we accidentally found dirty belongings from previous renters under the master bed and the oven had been used but not cleaned and there was food leftover in it. We have high standards when it comes to cleanliness and everything else was really clean and made our stay here memorable and very enjoyable. We also loved all the recommendations from the owners !

This was my family’s first time visiting Carolina beach and I don’t think we could have chosen a better place to stay! The listing is extremely thorough and accurate and the host Alicia is very kind and was available to answer the questions I had for her during our stay. “The Haven” has a beautiful view of the marina & all of its boats & paddlers from two different decks, as well as access to a pier/gazebo that’s perfect for the fishermen in your family. Unfortunately the dock access was closed during this trip but that will be an excellent addition for guests who either own a boat or enjoy kayaking/canoeing/paddle boarding/fishing/crabbing. The beach is only one block away which made the walk very doable for the elder members of your family. The kitchen is perfect for the family’s best cook and the home is spacious enough for the energetic children. We chose to rent a golf cart to get to the nearby restaurants and attractions. The Carolina Beach Pier was only a few blocks which we loved! There was also a nearby kayak launch Alicia told me about that I really enjoyed using. I would recommend this place for any family or group friends - you will not regret.

The Haven is a perfect beach house. We love how close it is to the beach (1 street over, 5 minute walk), the private pool, and the sunset views on the back porch. Nicely equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, comfortable couch. Bring your own beach towels and extra bath towels. We'll keep coming back to Captain's Quarter's!

Amazing location! Quick 5 minute walk to the beach! The views off the back deck were 10/10, we loved watching the sunrise every night and even got treated by seeing a few dolphins our first morning there. Alicia was great to communicate with. The floors could have been a little cleaner but other than that everything was cleaned nicely. All of the beds were very comfortable.

We woke up to nornings on the canal. Weather didnt cooperate the whole time but the magic of looking out over the water can't be compared. Alicia was wonderful to work with, the property was clean and cozy and well supplied with necessities. Would recommend this property with no hesitation.

There was a surprising amount of room in the condo, and we cooked several meals in their kitchen. So convenient to go to bars and to the beach, we had a great time with minimal stress.

Alicia was so kind to move our trip from fall to spring due to a hurricane. We had a fabulous trip with beautiful weather. Located on the canal, we got to watch gorgeous sunsets every night. We were steps away from the ocean for morning walks on the beach. We enjoyed Michael's Seafood, Island Beverages, and the Tiki Bar at Low Tides at the end of the street. We made a quick and easy trip into downtown Wilmington also for a great lunch at The Pilot House. We would definitely book again!

We have stayed here a few times. Always clean and it’s in a good location with great views of canal.

We had a wonderful time at the Haven. It is very close to the beach, about a 5 minute walk. The property was very comfortable, especially the beds. Although it only has one tv we rarely even used it. The owner is also very responsive and the few problems we had she took care of it right away. I would warn future guest though about the King Tide. On 2 nights water came up the road and if you don't have a high vehicle you couldn't get in or out. It only last a few hours then it goes down with the tide. I also heard it only happens a few times a year. The views out the back are beautiful and the front porch when there's a breeze is very relaxing. We played family games out there. Overall I would recommend the Haven.

Property was very clean and modern. Beautiful views from balconies. Location was very close to beach and in a quiet area. The master bed was very comfortable. Was informed by the other couple that the queen bed had a dip in the middle so they resorted to sleeping on the bunk bed. The pool was very nice and clean. There is a dishwasher but if you plan on hand washing anything, I recommend bringing a dish sponge or cloth. Alicia, the property owner, was very nice and responsive. Would stay again.

I have all great things to say about The Haven. Great view, great space, cleanliness. Two week’s wasn’t long enough!

Alicia was great and prompt at responding to my annoying messages lol The house is clean and updated, and just less than a block to the beach, the kids walked it with no complaining. Loved the breeze on the balconies and the beds were very comfy!

The positives far outweigh the negatives. Plenty of space for up to 6 guests, plenty of bathrooms as well. Fantastic views of the harbor and a brisk 2 minute walk to the beach. This could have been a five star stay but there were a few areas where I felt the rental did not quite justify the price. But these can easily be addressed. - Short on amenities - soap was provided but there were no travel shampoos or lotions. This was the first time I have experienced that in all my years of travel. We had to pick up shampoo and conditioner from a grocery store which was a minor annoyance. Also, there is no smart TV and there was only a basic cable package. It rained a lot during our stay so we were indoors more than we would have liked. With very little child appropriate programming, and no streaming options available, I had to plug my laptop into the hdmi to stream our own Disney + subscription through the TV. This fell short of our expectations. Lastly, the condition of the decks. I know the coast is rough on homes but the hardwood decks overlooking the harbor are in poor to below average condition. We had to make sure the kids didn’t go out there without shoes because of weathered wood and popped nail heads that are beginning to rust. The decking definitely needs some TLC. Having said that, it truly is a lovely and charming beach home. A few maintenance, amenity, and media improvements and it would easily be a location for a return visit. The owners are very responsive as well.

Location is perfect, house is well appointed and the beds were comfortable. The ocean is a block away. Great fishing & paddle boarding

This was a wonderful space: updated amenities, clean, and conveniently located. The host was extremely communicative and answered questions quickly. My only suggestions are SUPER nitpicky: may be time to update washer/dryer (takes a long time to dry), more towels so they don't have to be laundered mid-week (the humidity won't allow them to dry thoroughly, thus they needed washing), larger TV (only because it is far from couch). Again those are nitpicky details. We would definitely stay again and recommend!

Location was great- sound, ocean and entertainment were all very convenient. Truly a short walk to the beach. Not very crowded at the beach but did always put chairs out early just in case. The sunsets are amazing off the back deck. The kids enjoyed fishing off the back dock every day. Beds were comfy. Communication with the owner was very responsive. Great family place.

This house was perfect for our family. We had 3 kids with us and it was plenty of space for everyone. It was clean and had everything we needed for the week. The 3 porches make for a great place to relax and the location is great. Can’t wait to go back!

We loved our time here! The house was updated and clean and we LOVE the canal access for paddle boards and fishing! We had previously stayed in a different unit at Captains Quarters so we were surprised the garage was locked up (we bring multiple paddle boards, stroller, wagon that had to be deflated and stored in the car so that was a pain since there was no access to the back patio or garage to keep them safe! I did not see any mention garage space wasn't included, but I also didnt double check!) Overall great stay!

We enjoyed Paul’s place the last few days of June into July 2021. The location is a short walk to the beach but the real show stopper is the view from the decks. Awesome sunsets! The property was very clean and beautifully decorated. We loved being able to fish from the dock behind the property and the pool area was nice. Paul quickly answered all of our questions and was very helpful. Highly recommend staying here as a couple, family or friend gathering.
