Jennifer & Jeff are gracious hosts. I was never for want and had zero complaints. It’s a gorgeous property. Grateful I choose the right VRBO during my time on the Big Island.

First and foremost, the grounds are stunning! Jennifer (host) put a lot of thought and intention in the landscaping and it shows. Wow. It was nice to just wander the property. The hosts greeted us upon our arrival and checked in on us every day with lots of useful information. The rental studio itself feels brand new. Everything in it was like new, from the towels to the dishes, even some of the furniture. It was also spotlessly clean. Even though we weren't the first people to stay here, it felt like it! There were books, games, a ukelele, and other items to entertain us while we were at the rental. But best of all was just sitting outside and enjoying the view of the grounds. The location is a little bit of a drive from both Hilo and VNP. But realistically, anywhere you stay on the Big Island, you're going to have to drive. Everything is far from everything else. So we don't count it as a minus unless you're doing multiple days at VNP or doing many activities in Hilo itself. But for a visit to the south/east side of BI, this was a perfect location and perfect studio! Thank you Jennifer and Jeff. - Johnny, Binh, Quynh

The property was very nice. The chickens could be bother to some people, but not me.

This property and guest house was the perfect retreat for our trip while exploring the Hilo side of the island. Everything exceeded our expectations. The house was immaculate and spacious. Jeff and Jennifer were very kind and accommodating hosts. They made sure the guest house was fully stocked with kitchen supplies, sunscreen, beach chairs and coolers, and laundry detergent. We wish we could've stayed longer!

This property fully deserves its near-perfect reviews. Plenty of space for our family of four, utilizing the pull-out futon and air mattress. Our kids loved the koi pond, finding giant frogs and snails around the lawn, and waking up to a rooster crowing. No air conditioning, but ceiling fans and open windows kept the unit cool enough even in June. Idyllic location, relatively short drive to Volcanoes NP or anything else on Hilo side. Very well stocked including full cabinet of beach gear. Friendly and helpful hosts. We hope to visit again someday.

Everything about this property was beautiful and perfect; exactly as described. The hosts were kind and communicative, landscape was gorgeous, and home was spotless and welcoming. We enjoyed a very comfortable night’s rest and would 10/10 stay here again! Mahalo!

Jeff & Jennifer are outstanding hosts! They have made cottage feel like home. The grounds are beautiful, loved hearing the chickens and watching the sunrise every morning! We highly recommend this cottage as a home base for your stay on the Big Island. Thank you for sharing your Hawaiian Hideaway!

We loved our stay here! The property is beautiful and well taken care of. Hosts were easy to work with and very friendly. Perfect place!

Although we only stayed for a couple of nights, we had a wonderful stay. There was easily enough room for all four of us and it was stocked with everything we needed - even more than what we were able to take advantage of during our time. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and it'd be a great base for exploring the Hilo area longer than we did!

Our stay was fantastic, we had everything we needed for our first visit and tour of the island! We are so grateful for the opportunity to stay at the guesthouse!

We stay 2 nights at Jennifer’s guest house with family of 4. It was such beautiful guest unit by the main house with very comfortable beds and plenty of room to spend quality time with love ones. Plus they gorgeous share their huge backyard with guests to enjoy and stargazing (if weather permits) . We had a lovely time and hosts are wonderful and very responsive. Will love to stay again next trip.

We chose to stay at Jennifer & Jeff’s property while on the Big Island, after coming from Oahu. It was the perfect, serene , quiet, vast location we needed. The home itself was the perfect size for our family (2 adults, 2 children). They had everything we needed to relax, do laundry, cook and explore. It was probably the best and most thought out VRBO I have stayed at. We loved it and would return in a heartbeat. Jennifer & Jeff were so kind and welcoming, but also left us to do our own thing. The kids LOVED staying here. We also felt like we were in an amazing location to get to all of our destinations on the east side of the island.

We loved everything about our stay! Easy booking, clear instructions made for easy check-in, and the place was even more gorgeous than the pictures. Everything was clean and we really appreciated all the little extra things provided like beach chairs and coolers. The property was beautiful and relaxing, we enjoyed our coffee in the garden each morning. Jeff and Jen were so incredibly kind and welcoming. We are looking forward to booking again!

Jeff and Jennifer’s place was so wonderful! The pictures don’t do it justice. The landscape is breathtaking, the accommodations were perfect, clean and very comfortable. We left our windows open all night and listened to the frogs and birds all around us. We took day trips out to Hilo, and Volcanoes National Park. We also went down to the end of the road one morning and caught the sunrise. Perfect beginning to our trip! Thank you Jeff and Jennifer. We highly recommend this property.

I contributes to be impressed with each new thing I discovered. Not only is this place beautiful and the communication with the host fantastic but they’ve thought of every possible way to make you feel welcome and to take care of you if you forgot something from beach gear and cold packs for picnics (and condiments) to hygiene products and books to read. I highly recommend this place!

We were extremely comfortable here for a week. The garden is lovely to look out on. It was a great jumping off point to visit anything on the Hilo side, and especially for Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Jeff & Jennifer were very responsive to all of our questions and had a great guide book ready for us as well that was up to date and so useful. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook simple meals for ourselves (which we mostly did), including some basic condiments, flour, sugar, and a few spices. It was also convenient (20-30 minute drive) to a string of local beaches where the snorkeling was as good or better than anywhere else we went on our vacation. Of course, they had snorkels, boogie boards, and chairs at the ready for us to borrow. We really wanted for nothing during the week. If I were heading to that side of the island again, I would definitely rebook.

A great first trip to the Big Island! We strategically stayed on the Hilo side for closer proximity to Volcanoes National park and Punalu'u Black sand beach. We were also able to get an early start and made a day trip to Muana Kea summit as well as the Kona side. This guest house, thanks to Jeff and Jennifer's attention to detail, has ABSOLUTELY everything you can think of for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Impeccably clean, very nice furnishing & finishes and just a beautiful property overall. Thanks for sharing with our family!

Where to start. This place was amazing from the second we pulled up to the second we left. We started our trip on the Hilo side and we were greeted by the owners. Very kind people. We followed the tiki lined path to our perfect little guest house. When we woke up the next day we couldn’t believe how stunning the property is, pictures just don’t do it justice. The coqui frogs sing you to sleep every night and the koi fish pond is so relaxing to sit by. They have every thing you hate buying on vacations. Coffee, tea, sugar, spices, ziploc bags, beach chairs, coolers, snorkeling stuff, umbrellas, beach towels. Everything. Jeff and Jennifer are so kind and you can feel the pride and love that they have in their property. They pay attention to the little details you don’t get when a company manages your rental. The windows are shaded out where you can see their home so it felt very private. One of the cleanest properties we’ve ever stayed at. Probably our favorite VRBO we've ever stayed in!!

Stayed for 3 nights. It was a quick, stressful business trip and needed to be near the Hilo Area. The moment when I entered the property, I felt right at home as if everything on the property was waiting for me. I sensed the love and care floating around the entire property. Staying at this guest house was as enjoyable and satisfying as when I stayed at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel in different ways. Highly recommended. Thank you, Jeff and Jennifer.

We had a great stay at Jennifer and Jeff’s place. The guest house and grounds are stunning and peaceful. The hosts were friendly and the guest house was well stocked. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

We loved our stay here for 4 nights. It was the perfect spot to accumulate to the time change in this peaceful setting. The bed was SUPER comfy and cozy. We spent 5 nights here. The accommodations were even nicer than we were expecting. The hosts are very thoughtful with the items they have provided. We had everything we needed. Such lovely hosts! Fresh flowers on the tables, lovely outside seating areas, comfortable bed, great shower. Peak-a-boo ocean views… Property is beautiful and landscaping/gardens lovely! Would definitely come again. Thank you!

My wife and I had an amazing time. The location ended up being perfect for us as we spent most of the time exploring the island. The guesthouse was full of anything we needed and the yard was beautiful. Perfect for our weekend getaway!

Absolutely adorable little guesthouse! Secluded location. Private covered patio looks out over beautiful yard and koi pond. Hosts were super nice and very welcoming. House was well stocked, clean and comfortable. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a cozy get away from the resorts and busier parts of the big island.

You expect an apartment and get a whole house! The location is approximately 30 minutes south of Hilo, the house is beautiful with wooden floors and really spacious! You will find everything you need! The hosts are very friendly and helpful! The surrounding garden is spectacular, as well as the koy pond! At night you will enjoy a concert of frogs and birds from the nearby forest, the whole garden is lit by electrical torches and you will even call a terrace your own! We enjoyed every minute at this location and would immediately book it again!

This was really one of the best vacation rental house experiences we have ever had. Jeff and Jennifer were so kind and accommodating, and the location is gorgeous. The house was extremely well stocked and we were happy to find a few snacks on our arrival as well. Would 100% recommend and will hopefully come back for another stay sometime.
