I loved the layout and location but the kitchen area was very dirty. Inside fridge wasn’t clean;,outside fridge and dishwasher were dirty; outside cabinets dirty. The kitchen sink faucet wasn’t working properly; unable to get any hot water. I did call Vacasa maintenance about these items, along with toilet running in master bathroom. Toilet was repaired and then a plumber came the next day to replace entire kitchen faucet. This unit needs a good thorough cleaning; my feet were black from walking barefoot inside. I have requested through Vacasa my cleaning fee be returned. In addition, the outside balcony was dirty and needs to be cleaned.

This home was spacious, beautiful, and exactly what our family of 5 needed. Off-season for our timing though - so no pools (if I had read carefully enough to see this, I would have chosen somewhere else), balcony railing was wrapped in plastic (new?) which was VERY loud in the wind. Construction outside happened every day and early morning. Because it was off-season, even half the boardwalk was closed. It was tough to find things to do since it was too chilly for beach time. Nobody seemed to care that there were actually people there - as opposed to the tourist-dazzling treatment you get during peak season. Otherwise, it was clean, had everything we needed for cooking. Locals are friendly and the on-site restaurant, while expensive, was to die for! It had my husband looking for beach homes :) Thanks for a great place to stay! I’d love to experience it when things are actually open! We had a great time, I’m just listing things I wish I had known ahead of time. It’s a nice place, nice area. We’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Cozy for a couple !!

While the condo is clean some things were left out of the description like some construction going on. The "ocean front" view describes the entire complex not the specific unit so the ocean was there from behind another building in a complex of four buildings. I was not happy about that. We watched movies at night with lights out but lights from outside I could not shut out. There was a light coming from the utility opening where the wall had been cut out and the light left on in the wall on the patio. All little things that added up to being one overall disappointment.

Description of condo was pretty accurate, and we anticipated the construction that was happening in the complex per description. We had an issue with the keys/entry, but Vacasa quickly fixed the issue. The reason why I gave a rating of 4 vs 5 for cleanliness...wasn't because the condo wasn't clean...it's because of the wear & tear of the carpet in the bedrooms, mainly the master bedroom. Layout of the condo is great and all the amenities are fine. Storage closet in the parking garage was important for us, we were able to fit our 4 bikes, beach toys and beach chairs in the closet.

The condo itself was nice and perfectly appropriate foe our family vacation. The owners have it nicely outfitted for a family. However, the experience with VACASA was atrocious to say the least. Condo was never cleaned. We finally cleaned it ourselves after several hours of being told someone was coming. The elevators were not working more than they were working throughout the week. The pool we were specifically told was open was, in fact, not open at all. I feel bad for the owners of these units that are relying on VACASA to market for them as VACASA simply seems to tell you what you want to hear rather than being straight with you.

The Mac Shack was very spacious, which was great! Nice place, fairly clean. Little things here and there that didn't ruin our trip at all - light bulbs out, screen doors hard to work or holes. Internet info provided was incorrect and it took multiple days to have someone help. One key set provided did not work and took multiple days to get corrected - this was very challenging with little kids who like to do different things... Pool did not open on time every day and was only heated some days and not others. I'm guessing all of these things were due to being short-staffed (like many places now), so maybe just temporary...

Loved the location and the condo. Could use a little update. Overall would return to Sandridge beach for a vacation again.
