I cannot say enough good things about Heilani's Cottage and Lydia and Emmanuel. Everything about our stay was wonderful. If I could give twenty stars, I would! The property is beautiful, the view is stunning. The villa is clean, extremely well stocked, and had everything we needed to have a great stay. Lydia and Emmanuel are the best VRBO hosts we have *ever* encountered. They are so kind and friendly and went WELL ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us during our stay. A big part of the reason we enjoyed our vacation so much was due to Lydia and Emmanuel. Honestly, I feel like we have made new friends for life! They are indeed SUPERHOSTS!! The house is exactly as described (it is absolutely fantastic). Everything worked perfectly. The A/C in the bedrooms was wonderful, the internet was fast, the TVs had Netflix, and the pool was refreshing. We are already planning a return trip! If you see this property available, you should jump on it as fast as you can before it disappears. You will not regret booking it! Thank you, Lydia and Emmanuel!!! Nice hosts, great view on top of the world

This was one of the best vacation weeks of our lives! The hosts were simply amazing, kind, and loved sharing information, food and information about the local area. It is really hard for us to 'see' exactly what a place will be like online. This was a place even BETTER than we could have hoped for. Thank you so very much for everything .... we hope to be back!

Tremendous hosts. Beautiful views. Fridge so full., no need to go out. Host picked us up at ferry and airport. Plus, drove us back for our cruise. Awesome experience.

If you have decided to rent in Tahiti and this villa has availability, go reserve it now before somebody else does and come back to read this review later. If you look at the photos of this mountain top villa, you will see the extraordinary setting. The pictures do not lie. It is every bit as stunning as the ad implies. Lydia and Emmanuel are outstanding hosts and do everything and more to ensure your stay is enjoyable. They stock the kitchen both smartly and deliciously with homemade baked goods and grocery items and then, after that they stop by with produce taken right from their garden. We had fresh, pumpkin, coconut, and bananas. The kitchen is fully functional with stove, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. Dining is on the patio outside. Bedrooms are decorated with Tahitian fabrics and the air-conditioning works great. As an example of the hospitality, I wanted a ukulele lesson while in Papeete. Emmanuel not only identified an excellent teacher, but brought me to the lesson when the teacher could not make it to the house. He picked us up at the airport, and Lydia drove us to the cruise port terminal. we could not have expected anything more from them and as VRBO hosts go they are six out of five stars!

If there was a way to give a property and host something more like 15 stars out of 5, this would be the time. Great location, wonderful views, and excellent hosts who care very much about making the stay in Tahiti a fabulous experience. I can't wait to come back!

Lydia and Emmanuel are one of the most amazing couples that we have ever met. We had stayed on the island of Moorea the week before our stay with Emmanuel and Lydia. Emmanuel picked us up at the ferry terminal and greeted us with fresh flower leis to welcome us to Tahiti. He also was kind enough to take us to the airport when the fairytale vacation had to end. When we arrived at the property, they had stocked the refrigerator with drinks, fresh fruit, breakfast items and superb pastries. We were able to settle in and relax without rushing to the market on the first day. We had been a week without laundry services, so I attempted to purchase laundry soap on the way to the house. Emmanuel was insistent that we did not need it, as the house was fully stocked with everything we would need. And he was right, the house was fully stocked with everything we would need. The view from this property of the coastline and the island of Moorea is stunning. The sunsets are breathtaking, and the waves breaking on the reef is relaxing. The home is secluded and peaceful, the pool was refreshing and clean. Emmanuel and Lydia were attentive to our needs and never intrusive. Lydia brought us a home backed apple pie and chocolate cake one night for dessert after our dinner. It was heavenly! This was the best experience that we have ever had at a VRBO property. Or any other property for that matter. Emmanuel and Lydia are two if the most genuinely kind people that we have ever met. Their thoughtfulness and their efforts on our behalf made our stay unforgettable. Scott and Kim

From the moment we booked the villa with Emmanuel and Lydia, it was clear that this was going to be a fantastic experience. They were warm, welcoming, and responsive. First, we met with them over FaceTime for a virtual meet and greet, and a live tour of the rental. Upon arrival to the villa, we were showered with a sense of belonging. Our hosts provided us with essential grocery goods and goodies in the fridge, and invited us to enjoy breakfast with them. Throughout our stay, our hosts were open to any questions, and treated us with local fresh cut fruits, baked goods, and cultural enlightenment. The villa of Emmanuel and Lydia is indeed a wonderful place, and they are incredibly kind and generous people with an innate ability to ensure their guests feel at home. Our family is beyond thankful for the remarkable comfort, fun in the pool, travel guidance, and human connection that Emmanuel and Lydia offer. La Orana!

Very friendly and lovely hosts!

This is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever stayed . The house is beautiful and the view is beyond stunning. The views of Moorea and the lagoons are always changing and the light is spectacular. We didn’t miss a sunset. It’s a great place to relax or explore Tahiti with great beaches and bakeries nearby. The air conditioning works well, the kitchen is well appointed, and the beds are comfy. Our hosts were very helpful if we needed it and also gave us plenty of privacy. If you like stargazing it’s very dark and you can see the Milky Way. Or there are plenty of lights and you can relax in the pool. It’s quiet too. The only sounds you can usually hear are the distant waves in the lagoon. We’ll be back in the future.
