Quiet street. The house was very clean and newly decorated. Bed was comfortable, and pleasant dining kitchen.

The blinds were very poor, resulting in a very light bedroom. The bathroom door needs securing, top hinge loose.

It was newly refurbished and (apart from some of the dishes—a peril, perhaps, of having no dishwasher) clean.

The terms and conditions before arrival listed very hefty charges for late departure, lost keys, extra cleaning, unnecessary call-outs etc. and informed us that any bedrooms we were not expected to use due to our party size would be locked. Maybe they had had problems with previous guests but the tone was less than friendly. In fact, even the rooms that were left open for us had hefty security keypads on them and automatically locked when the doors were shut, so we ended up sleeping with the doors open so as not to be locked in. Had we shut them on leaving the room, we would have been locked out. There was nothing to suggest a tone of welcome when we arrived. No friendly note or milk in the fridge, just more rules. Although the house was glossy—shiny new units in the kitchen, new carpets, spotless bathroom etc.—it felt as if this was a business focused on maximising profit at minimum cost. Fair enough, but there was only one towel per person, no shelves or hooks in the bathroom, minimal kitchen equipment, a thin duvet, a zero-maintenance paved and gravelled garden, no homely touches, used cloths in the kitchen. There were a couple of maintenance issues, as might be expected with cheap fittings: a very loose loo seat and a kitchen drawer that was a bit reluctant to close. At the moment it’s still quite new and shiny so if the location is convenient for your purposes and you don’t mind a lack of home comforts and are confident that you won’t incur any charges for transgressing the rules then it could be worth considering.

Excellent location to the centre and racecourse. Hosts were in contact quickly.

Excellent communication. Easy, secure access to property and simple vacating of property. Very comfortable, modern, well equipped and good location for my son and I on a working visit to Doncaster.

Some form of Cafetiere or fresh coffee maker would have been nice (fortunately I always bring one just in case). Chairs to sit in the garden would have been nice, especially as th weather was so good.

Perfect location.

If I was to be picky it would have been lovely to have been able to sit in the garden but there was no garden furniture.
