Relaxing family weekend at a beautiful lake

This cabin was the perfect weekend getaway. We went for the winter and had an amazing time with just family, but this place would be hands down a place to go in the summer. Would definitely go back.

This cozy spot was awesome. I would absolutely stay here again. Jack was spot on with communication, recommendations, and checked in. It was perfect for two couples. Could fit more. Beds comfortable.

My husband and I, along with our two sons, their girlfriends and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cozy blue cabin over Christmas break. The cabin was clean and exactly as described. All linens were provided and the cabin was stocked with all the essentials including paper products. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate so we couldn’t take advantage of the outdoor fire pit but there was plenty of firewood to enjoy the fireplace while we played games and watched movies on Netflix. The couches are a bit worn and couldn’t comfortably fit all 6 of us but we made do with the seats from the breakfast bar. However, there were ample sleeping arrangements and the beds were very comfortable. Communication with the owner was great. I highly recommend staying at the cozy blue cabin. Our only regret is not staying longer!

We loved the wooded surroundings, it was about 35 minutes from Skytop lodge where we were celebrating New Years with family. Jack the host was excellent. Home was clean, great for 4-6 or more if you are a family. The living room and kitchen was really well laid out for us to enjoy watching football on Sunday afternoon. I’d stay there again, no question.

The cabin was very nice, the beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean and just as described. Communication with the host was very easy. Sadly our 3 night stay turned into a 1 night stay as I woke up sick after our first night. Since we weren’t far from home we decided to call it a loss and head out. But we will definitely try to book this lovely cabin again.

Cute house with enough room for two couples with two dogs! House had everything you would need! Great quiet location with view of the Lake! Nice porch, fire place, and fire pit. We will definitely book again

Great property near the water with easy access to the community boat ramp. The home has plenty of parking for my truck and trailer. I will 100% be renting this property again. Home has everything that's needed for my family to enjoy some time away from home. Home owner is very responsive to emails and seems like he's generally a nice guy. Looking forward to booking again in late spring.

The location near the lake is great, dogs had a fun time in the water and it's just a short walk away. However the house was disappointing in its cleanliness and readiness for guests. We did not have any trash bags or laundry detergent. The couches had dog fur all over (yes i know it's a dog friendly place but it still needs to be cleaned for germs and bacteria). We ended up laying blankets on the couches to sit on. We happened to lose one of our phones and had to look under the couches for it.. i don't think under there has ever been cleaned before unfortunately. The place has a lot of potential but I just don't feel like it was ready for guests.

Very clean house, great location, easy on and off the highway, right on beautiful Lake Wallenpaupack, all the essentials were provided. Jack was very responsive to any questions we had. The Totem Pole bar was great too!! I will be coming back to stay here!!

This place is wonderful. Four adults and two dogs and we were very comfortable. The cabin is magical with lights strung up in the loft, plenty of cozy places to sleep. A ver nice fire pit. And beautiful nature all around. Highly recommend this cabin.

This cabin is in a nice, quiet area and was very clean and cozy. The host was very helpful in giving us information regarding fishing and restaurants to visit. This is a great getaway for couples and families with plenty to do in the area. I would highly recommend staying at this cabin!

It was a cozy, nicely set up cabin in a friendly neighborhood. My teen son loved the bed in the loft.

Our first time to Lake Wallenpaupack did not disappoint. Upon arrival the cabin was so cute and very clean! The location is in a beautiful woodsy neighborhood just a stones throw from the lake. The terrain was a little rough for my 14 month old daughter who is just learning to walk but she enjoyed exploring around the cabin and down by the lake. We also had to block off the loft stairs while we were there since the railings on the loft are pretty far apart and she could easily fall through, but it was not a problem since there are two bedrooms on the first floor. We did have one small issue the first night when we arrived and noticed there wasn’t extra TP or paper towels rolls and both rolls there were almost finished. We had to make an impromptu trip to the store to stock up. All in all our time at the cabin was very quiet and relaxing. The neighbors were very nice and gave us some good suggestions about places to go in the area (the nearby town of Honesdale has a cute Main Street and Greshams Chop House had great food and service). The owner was also very nice to communicate with and responsive.

So, this cabin was very cute. My husband, myself, and 15 year old daughter rented it for a 3 day getaway. The owner was fine to deal with (all by text and email, no verbal communication). This cabin is across the street and up the hill from the lake (a very short walk across the road and down a public access road) . It does not have much of a lake view when the trees have leaves, but all the trees are quite beautiful nonetheless. The location is very peaceful and serene. The furnishings and the vinyl floors are a bit dated (but clean and neat), but they are to be expected in a campy lakehouse. The lake house really has beautiful, extensive woodwork and was clean. There was only one thing that marred our visit. Unfortunately, upon entering the house, we were hit with an overwhelming smell of fireplace smoke. My 15 year old daughter made mention of it as soon as she opened the front door while my husband and I were unpacking the car. The smoke odor permeated the whole house. We left fans on (we had brought 2 from home), the ceiling fan in the family room, and the front door open when we were there, but it did not help much. (We did not use the fireplace while we were there). We mentioned the smell to the owner when we left early the next afternoon. He said he would adjust the damper. Other than the smell, the place was really campy and nice. Very relaxing, and a good place to get away. You have to bring your own water recreation/bikes, or rent them. Serene retreat area.

The cabin was clean & cozy and we very much enjoyed having a fireplace. Will definitely be back!

This quaint rental was a two minute walk to the lake. Plenty of room for our family (including an older dog and young child) and great for a weekend getaway.

We loved it!! I have been in several VRBO properties and this was by far the best! We couldn’t believe how clean it was when we arrived and the lake area and neighbourhood were fantastic. Super nice people everywhere, quiet and beautiful. There is a short walk to the beach area which is clean with lots of chairs already there as well as a dog run. My sons loved the river next to the beach and had a great time fishing and swimming. Highly recommend!

Nice and quiet. My two sons and I took our kayaks out on the lake and caught a variety of fish! Will definitely come again!

Warm, welcoming, cozy cabin with plenty of amenities and room to spread out. Nice view of the lake from the deck--perfect for morning coffee! Exactly what was needed for a much-needed getaway.

The Blue house was everything that we needed. While it looks small, there is more than enough room for everyone to stretch out and enjoy their own space. There is a large table on the sizable deck that is great for eating, reading and card games.. The views of the lake are peaceful, I enjoyed taking my dog for mildly challenging walks in the hilly neighborhood. The loft space was great for stretching out, reading,, playing games and even watching the TV from on high! The host was communicative and quick with answering any questions. The cabin kitchen has everything that you need and it’s in places you would expect to find it. It’s just what you want a “cabin on the lake experience” to be. I would love to come spend more quiet time with my family here again.

We originally reserved the house for two nights but loved the home and tranquility so much that we extended it to a third night. The house is a super short walk from the lake's beach access. There's a table with bench seating on the deck and seating around the fire pit. The also allow dogs, which was why we booked this property; we're glad we did! A must-book!

Beautiful blue cabin with a wonderful lake view and a quiet community. Very peaceful and relaxing. I love the fireplace and that it’s pet friendly. My family and black lab enjoyed our time there and will be booking another trip this year
