Backyard access to the bay. We used the kayaks and paddleboard that were at the house. Westside beach on the gulf side is about a 15 minute walk. Really clean house.

Overall, the house was amazing. It was older, but distinct character. The amenities were great and we had everything we needed. There is a new sauna on the porch, which would have been nice to use; but we never used it! The hot tub didn’t work, but the owners are aware. The only downside, which is out of the control of the home owners, was the terrible mosquitoes we encountered. While in the house and balcony, the mosquitoes aren’t bad, but once you go down the stairs, be fully prepared with bug spray. Overall, great stay. We would stay again.

House was clean for the most part. Spacious and well provided amenities. Sand was piled up under the living room rug. Mattress in downstairs bedroom was the spring kind and the bed is falling apart. Hot tub was full of sand and you could tell it hadn't been cleaned or maintained in a while. Upstairs whirlpool tub was disgusting and unusable and black gunk cane out of the jets each time they were turned on. The kitchen lights constantly flashed and we had to keep them off bc 2 of our group suffer from seizures and that is an issue. The wifi is absolute garbage. There was NO space for us to store groceries....we had to leave everything on the counters. We did call someone about all the issues. Technicians showed up the night before we left and looked at the lights and hot tub. No one ever cleaned the upstairs tub. The mosquitos were atrocious as well, and while not necessarilya homeowner issue, we ate from Louisiana and just keeping our yard sprayed once a month has almost guaranteed our mosquito problem is minimal. All in all, wouldn't stay here again. The lack of upkeep on the cleaning part is enough for us to stay somewhere else. Someone should be making sure housekeeping is doing their job, afterall we are being charged an absurd cleaning fee.

The house, decorations, kitchen supplies,appliances,decks, location,communication,space, comfortable,bathrooms( especially the large one),visible sunrises and sunsets,water view,tons of little extras,loved EVERYTHING!

We were an older group staying at this home Loved the views of the Sound on one side and the Gulf on the other. We gathered on the back deck most mornings for coffee and the peaceful atmosphere. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking many meals. The downstairs bedroom was great for one that was less mobile, the upstairs master with private deck, the king size bed with the killer views gave comfort for others. We explored the island beaches, stores, aquarium, ferry ride, and parks and trails. What a peaceful, friendly, relaxing place this is. We all enjoyed our time on this quaint island.

Clean house great amenities and centrally located

This was one of the best weeks we've had at the beach. The house is wonderful. Great Kitchen with everything we need to cook big meals. Kids loved playing on the swings under the deck. We also got to use the firepit in the backyard a few times, it was really nice to have smores at the beach! Spent lot of time at the bay side beach behind the house. It's so nice to be close to two different beaches. Sometimes the conditions are different so you get to pick what you want. I especially liked that the property has kayaks, bodyboards and standup paddle boards ready to use. Saved us from having to buy or rent anything, and the kids got to test out kayaks for the first. They actually liked kayaking in the bay better than paddleboarding which was a suprise.

House had a great layout with all the needed amenities. Comfortable furniture and fully stocked kitchen is very appreciated when taking a break from the beach. Smart TVs in every room were fantastic for nighttime. The outdoor ice maker was a nice addition. The kids loved the swings and tether ball. It is a short walk to the beach. Parking passes for public beaches were provided, which we used when we didn’t feel like walking. Overall the house is in great condition, great location, and we would stay here again. The whole family thought the house was perfect for our trip.
