The place needed a thorough clean. We sent photos to management before we unpacked to make sure we got our bond back. Cleaner returned but there was no point in trying to do a major clean. Kettle was dark brown inside so it was replaced. Back of Toilet seat was disgusting, handbasin tap was filthy, mould on window frames and curtains, dishwasher filter clogged, behind couches , bedside lights and on window sills very dusty, some linen worn and stained, fridge rubbers dirty, microwave and oven very dirty, finger marks on fridge, oven door and all cupboards. Tried to vacuum but the smell of dust made us give up. Management didn’t ring to see if it was ok after cleaner had returned.

Collected keys from lock box at the Caloundra Holiday Centre. The staff were fabulous to deal with. Apartment very well equipped as is the kitchen. Comfy beds and furniture. We hired our linen. The view is wonderful and there is a back gate to access the rear of the Tavern and down towards Kings Beach. Lockable garage was great also. There are many stairs so make sure it is accessible for you. We enjoyed our stay and the cleaner contacted us to let us know I left a cable behind and arranged to meet me so I could collect. Very honest

Floors were clean but the place needs a really good dust including ceiling fans. Mattress protectors need washing as do the windows inside and out. Stairs were a killer as I have difficulty walking but worth it for the view. If this gets addressed, it would greatly improve the place.

Fabulous sea view. Near to the ocean. Bright apartment. Wifi included.

Great location - back gate to beaches a huge bonus

I have to say the stairs - but we knew that when we booked. Tavern can be a bit rowdy on weekends but that didn’t bother us too much

The location is super convenient to stroll down to Kings Beach through the private access by the pool, and also great for accessing all that the Sunshine Coast has to offer. The apartment is light, clean and well set up. Amazing generous sized shower. Well equipped kitchen. Fans in the bedrooms as well as aircon in the living area to keep the apartment cool. The pool is so warm and inviting, just what you need after a long hot day exploring. Parking is in a secure garage - handy, but be aware when booking you will need to navigate this, reversing out takes a 3 point turn in an SUV but it fits comfortably in the garage itself

The stairwell up to the apartment smelled weird and was a bit dirty/grotty but looking past this is worth it. The tiles step up into the laundry/toilet/bathroom area which caught us out at first as it wasn't super obvious at a glance. Pillows could be more comfy. A warning in the listing re the amount of stairs would be good as the regret of doing so much shopping and lugging suitcases up and down was huge haha
