We booked this 4 day staycation for my youngest's birthday, so it was my Husband, two kids (9yr & 7yr), and myself. I'm so grateful to the owners tips with the driving directions, as we did in fact pass the cabins and turned back around. The lot isn't huge, but we still found a spot easily, and the walk to our cabin (we stayed in cabin #10 with the deck, definitely recommend the deck!) was short and quick. The cabin itself does have some wear and tear, a bit of siding damage, outdated electrical, small plumbing and floor issues...but IT'S A WATERFRONT BEACH HOUSE! Of course there's wear and tear. I found the staff did a great job at keeping things clean. The cabin is very cozy, I think 4 people may have been it's limit, and I got a good laugh squeezing into the small standing shower (for reference I'm only 5'5" tall, and I bumped my elbows, also my yoga came in very handy when attempting to shave lol). But it has great hot water. My kids came in for a quick shower after every swim session, and we never once ran out. The view here is absolutely incredible, honestly breath taking. So who cares if the cabin is on the smaller side, you should honestly be outside enjoying the beauty of this private beach. Visitors were in other nearby cabins, but everyone was respectful and kind. There was a small, open, central storage area with beach toys and chairs to share. I could go on and on about this cabin, but recommend you check it out yourself instead, I promise you won't regret it.

Beautiful view. The Cabin had everything you needed. The beds were comfortable. The shower water was hot. I have no complaints.

The cabin was decently sized and had a cozy feel. The stove, fridge, microwave and cookware was great to have so we could spend more time at the beach instead of going out for food. The deck was awesome and was well built. It would have been nice to have a spot to put an umbrella on the deck for shade. The two day stay was a bit pricey but it was a great vacation spot for a family. With the beach and deck right there it was the most perfect setup I could have asked for.

Let me start out by saying the location and beach were absolutely perfect. Easy access to two cute towns, and being right on the beach was beautiful. The deck was awesome, and we spent a lot of time out there listening to the waves. However, the inside of the cabin needs a lot of work. There’s two sets of blinds in the kitchen, both very filthy & one was actually burnt in one area. The coffee pot was being held together by masking tape & we ended up purchasing one and leaving it for future guests. The sheets in one of the rooms had mildew all along the bottom of it, which was only found upon leaving and checking to make sure we had all my child’s things out of the bed. The biggest issue, though, was the floor in the bathroom. It was separating near the shower & extremely soft. It felt like we could fall through at any point. From speaking with another guest, we learned the owners are newer and in the process of trying to fix up the property. I completely get that, but maybe the cabins needing this much work shouldn’t be rented out until major issues are fixed. Especially when they are willingly renting it out to families with small children or older (60+) people. I also spoke with a couple that was in a cabin next to us that said when they got there, the cabin wasn’t clean & smelled of mildew. Butter splattered all over the stove from the last people that were in it & pieces of food left in the fridge. Will definitely be back to the area, but probably not this resort.

Excellent location, everything was exactly as advertised. Hosts were quick to provide information when requested. Wonderful beach front deck, absolutely perfect for a couple or small family.

Can’t beat the location right on Lake Huron and easy drive to Oscoda and Tawas. Met Nancy, one of the proprietors, and talked about their improvements they are making to the place and updating. Was very interested in my honest suggestions for making it a better 5 star stay. Cabin was well stocked with cooking and settings for the 6 max allowed guests. Plenty of games provided and even a couple of kayaks for free use. Wi-Fi was great at 2 or 5g speed. Would highly recommend the resort.

The place was nice. In a Good location. The water and sunrises were beautiful. Very cold and windy while there. We had internet for the first night. It did not work after that. They were sending someone out to restore it. We ended up leaving a day early.

It was a short notice trip. Check in was a bit delayed by VRBO. Property was excellent. Might bring the grandkids next summer

This was the perfect fall getaway. We had the place to ourselves and got to enjoy the amazing views, comfy beds and peace!

As close to Lake Huron as you can get. Sound of waves and comfortable cabin made for a relaxing weekend.

We had a wonderful long weekend. We swam , sunbathed, cooked out, made smores, read books, played card games, and listened to the waves. The location and the the cabin were perfect to just get away for our family. Also, it was nice to meet Tim, the owner, who was a great host to all of the lodgers. I will be planning a longer stay next year.

This place was great!

We stayed in Cabin 10, right on the water, and fell asleep to the sound of waves every night. Just beautiful! The little private beach and campfire area are perfect for families.

The location of this little cabin right on the water with views of the Milky Way each night was everything! The only thing I would suggest is better cleaning.

We loved our time here. Tim and his wife are working everyday to make sure their guests enjoy their time. While the cabins are small, they are perfect for a couple looking to get away for the week. The amenities were great, there are firepits, kayaks, deck chairs and beach umbrellas. Plenty of room for kids to play on the beach, or wade 50 yards into the water. We liked the location best of all. It's equally close to Oscoda (kayaking, canoing and river sports) as it is to Tawas (shopping, a large marina and food). The lake is sandy and beautiful in this spot, and it was just a short drive to see two lighthouses. We would stay here again and recommend it for couples or small families who like the beach and don't mind smaller quarters. It would also work to rent the whole resort and have a big group event.

The property was great. The cabin had everything that we needed and was very clean. The deck was an added bonus!! The beach is absolutely beautiful. Kayaks, games, fire pit so much fun!

We stayed for 3 beautiful nights! The view was unbelievable! The owners are super nice and helpful. Can’t wait to go back again. We love Oscoda!

Only issue was trying to figure out the TV trying to get regular channels & watching the news. Otherwise everything was perfect

Just loved it here; cannot beat the view! One of the few places on this stretch with an actual beach and not a sea wall. The new owners, Tim and Nancy, are so nice and accommodating. The new deck sealed the deal for us. The cabin had everything we needed. We'll be back for sure! Just one suggestion, some possible shade on a portion of the deck somehow...sail shade? Other than that, wouldn't change a thing.
