EVERYTHING! The people, the service the location. People are so discret, smiling. Everyone is doing the extra miles to make you feel you. Breakfast on top. With the Los Angeles vibe of the hotel. Absolutely incredible.

Food at the pool could be slightly better as the level of the breakfast and dinner is very high already!

Pool bar and kitchen should be open later - closing at 16:00 was too early. The service in the attached restaurant, La Palmera, was poor - inattentive, perfunctory and attempt to charge for a bottle of wine we hadn’t ordered.

Adult hotel, quiet, relaxed, beautiful. So many little design things all over. the pop machine, the Cava at breakfast. The room, the bed and bedsheets. The solarium at 3rd floor. The matching beautiful colours everywhere. The small gestures from the bartenders almost every day, a little refreshment in the sun. The little gift-gesture on New Years Eve was very clever and surprising;-)

1). There is no little freezer in the refrigerator and no ice cube machine on the hotel. Had to go to reception for ice cubes. I asked for an ice bucket, but was told I can buy it in the supermarket (!) 2) Our little garden in room 111 was completely overshadowed, there was NEVER any sun there. you wouldn’t guess that from the pics. 3). Also, there are relatively many sunbeds in the shadow at all times, and sometimes you can’t find any in the sun downstairs. The wind was so hard for few days, that we gave up at the Solarium on 3rd. The were no sunbeds available in the sun.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, with great facilities and lovely surprise gifts on arrival and throughout.

There isn’t anything not to like. The only recommendation would be to convert the roof on the 9th floor to a restaurant / bar. It would make the hotel even more amazing.

I can not give a very good comment, since there are too much things not matched the description. Firstly the staff in reception were super welcomed and helpful, also the cleaning staffs, however the staffs in the bar and breakfast seem like not well trained how to serve the customers well, especially one bald guy is extremely discriminated. Room can not be rated as a four star hotel, no modern style, too old and not clean enough, but equipped with small kitchen, which is really practical, water for shower is quite small, not so comfortable. Swimming pool was really cold, other hotels besides has heated the water properly. I hope my sincere comment could improve your facility and service. Last but not least, location is fantastic, 10min to the desert, close to everywhere.

Could do with a bit more thorough cleaning in areas, especially around the pool. Having a surcharge to be able to use your room safe is a bit ridiculous- it should be included. Beds too soft and we were given two singles despite asking for one double

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, pools were excellent and the music was perfect.

Cocktails by the pool weren’t great but the ones out front were excellent.

Best hotel in gran canaria Bravo!

We loved everything about the hotel, especially the pool area. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast featured a wide variety of options, including for vegetarians. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

amazing pool areas. 2 in total and a sun terrace with hot tub. mattress style loungers on all beds which makes it extremely comfortable. breakfast catered to all tastes, allergies and eating times as it was open until 12, definitely worth the upgrade. quirky boutique hotel.

only issue we had was the exchange rate was different on the day and we were quoted less than we actually paid. if i was to go again i would prefer to pay before going rather than on check in

The Gold by Marina Hotel is just perfect - the ideal location for a truly relaxing holiday. Fresh modern decor, comfortable rooms, firendly & helpful staff, ample poolside sunbathing options, and fresh and tasty breakfasts. Can't recommend it highly enough!

My only suggestion would be that if you like a balcony that gets sun into the evening request a low numbered room on a high floor.
