Our stay at the Artesian Cottage, hosted by pine cone accommodations was absolutely phenomenal. You can't beat the location for safety or convenience, everything is right there. We did have one minor inconvenience while we were there, and Sandy, the property manager, was an absolute dream and she and a coworker drove up to address our concern in person, after business hours, just to make sure we were taking care of. There was an issue with one of the beds , and they offered to replace the mattress the same day, without question. This was incredible and we recommend this property to anybody. Thank you so much Sandy and the Pine Cone Team!

We had a good stay, the place was clean and in a very safe neighborhood. It was located centrally between many things that we wanted to do. Two down sides, there was no air conditioning and I went back and looked and didn't see that listed. It was a little too warm for my liking and I had trouble sleeping. And although it was decorated nicely there wasn't enough comfortable seating for 4 adults to sit and enjoy a movie.

Windows were either painted shut or had a second glass window pane. No air circulation. Ceiling fan in living room (great for circulating hot air). One, new window in bathroom that opened.
One window fan (ironically) in one bedroom balanced on a chair.
One small window in second bedroom was a struggle to open.
First I was told, “we emailed you about the windows”, no such email. Then I was told, “oh I’ve never checked the windows”. Safety issue…? Possibly.
Hot, stuffy, uncomfortable.
Do not recommend.

Close to town. Clean. Had kitchen dishes, utensils, etc, all appliances including washer/dryer, fire pit. Would stay again.

The cottage wasn't anything special, but it was clean, comfortable and a great location. Walking distance to the beach and to ice cream, restaurants and other stores. Plus it was less than a block from the North Central Bike Trail and only a few miles from several other trails, if you want to do some biking or hiking. Also close to Big Bear Adventures if you want to tube or kayak.

Adorable cottage, very homey, nice owners. Clean and neat. Short walk from the main drag of Indian River, which is a very cute little place with shops and restaurants and pretty gardens everywhere.
Twin beds were very comfortable, and my 6’4” son was fine on the fold out couch in the living room.

The property was as described and cute, cozy, and clean. Walkable distance from town and the river. More sofa seating in the living room would have been appreciated but otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This place is great! Everything was clean and cute. I was a little worried because there were no pics of the bathroom, but it was beautifully updated.
The only downfall were the mattresses. They were a little on the uncomfortable side, and the biggest bed was only a full size. But everything else was just what we were looking for. Will definitely book this place again!!

This was a terrific house right in Indian River. Very close to downtown and Burt Lake. The property was clean and well kept. Communication was very smooth throughout the whole process. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a rental in the area.

Great location for all types of activities. Cute/clean house but would have been nice if there was some outdoor sitting or a better indoor sitting area. Went with family and was challenging to sit somewhere to talk with each other.

House was clean and well equipped. We especially appreciated all the extra towels supplied and having use of a washer and dryer. The bathroom is not pictured so I was a bit worried about what it would be like but it is very nicely updated.
Indian River is not much of a destination in itself but it was a good central location to the places we wanted to visit- Lake Michigan, the UP, and Mackinac Island.
My only con is that the house doesn't have air-conditioning. It never got overly hot in the house but I like to blast the AC while sleeping so I really missed having it at night. Maybe fans in the bedrooms would help? New mattresses would also make sleeping a bit more comfortable. They weren't terrible, just could use new ones.
Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to book this house. It was a nice stay.
